Beautiful video and yes...unlucky with the music during take-off. I have flown many times with Qatar from Oslo to Bangkok. Cant remember eve having heard music during take-off. I ll pay extra attention in one weeks time when I am going again. Nice video!!:)
You were lucky that the cabin staff allowed you to film. Many airlines don't allow electronics on during take off / landings. i noticed from the map that the flight no longer goes over northern iran. The elburz mountains ( just south of the capsian sea) are quite beautiful particulary if you capture them at sunset( return flight), got many photos of them. I can see the pearl is still standing ! I lived there for 3 years and took this flight with QA twice a year to london ( and two additional flights to KL- our other home). My wife( lawyer) was warned never buy in the pearl because the workmanship is shoddy and overpriced. Are they still bussing you "all around the houses" in order to reach your plane? the wall of heat getting on and off the plane takes some getting used to !
I couldn't agree with you more about the music. Still, I put the headphones on, and listened to it with the FX Audio Enhancer software, (which I highly recommend), and thoroughly enjoyed this one. I always love how the captain brings those engines to full throttle after he lowers the flaps right after takeoff. My dream is to fly aboard an A380 one day. Let's just hope it's not one of those "Make a Wish" type dreams, because I would much rather be able to pay for it. I'm just so disappointed that Airbus is stopping production of the A380s at the end of the year. They are a fantastic plane, and they've beat the B747-800 by 10 to 1, and Boehing really overshot their prospects on that B747-8. It's too bad, too, but the B787 sounds like another magnificent airplane I'd like to fly before I leave this world. I'm sorry for what happened to that landing, and thanks for the warning in the description. I also missed you when you came to Atlanta earlier this year. What did you think of it?
rachaelmatt I think Etihad would've done the same had you flown them; have seen a few videos of their flights and the music was there (whether inserted post-production or as part of the actual video I don't know for sure).
Gameflyer001 singapore airlines has a nice soothing classical music. I filmed a 14 hour flight and it had that on and caused a copywright but luckily the people who made the music for the airline allowed me to use it :)
When I watched a documentary about the A380, they said it would have a fountain, a restaurant a lounge, and some would have shops on board. Did the one you were on have any of those things?

Quick question. Was the galley right behind you? I was trying to visualize in my mind where you were seated, and it's close. Also, seat 48k in terms of seat configuration; wouldn't that be upper deck? I'm not familiar enough with the seating arrangement on the A380, so I could be utterly confused. Also, great audio quality.
+Britt Unculus its pretty awesome but even at 560 tons you cant really feel anything. taking off from the 1.797 km long runway at the sunshine coast in an A320 was like being in a space shuttle launching!
Stinks about the battery.... while recording a flight video from LHR that I'll be uploading less than three weeks from now, the camera app on my phone froze during recording and I had to restart the device to get it working again. As a result I lost the first 2 1/2 mins including the pushback, engine start and the safety briefing. By the time I got it working again, I was near the Concorde and fire-training mock-up waiting in line for further taxiing and take off.

380: better headroom; more exercise space for long distance flights; less claustrophobic; it has positives neither 787 nor 350 can offer.
You just sit down in it, it has uncomfortable seats whereas the 787 and 350 aren't
