Bill Anderson Bright Lights and Country Music Lyrics
I love those bright lights and country music
I won't stay home and cry tonight like all the nights before
I've just learned that I don't really need you anymore
I found a little place downtown where guys like me can go
And they've got bright lights and country music
Bright lights and country music a bottle and a glass
Soon I'll be forgetting that there ever was a past
And when everybody asks me what helped me forget so fast
I'll say bright lights and country music
A table by the bandstand a bottle filled with wine
Honky tonks were made for men with women on their minds
Nothing else can take away this loneliness of mine
Quite like bright lights and country music
    Bright lights and country music...
I love those bright lights and country music

Best 4 piece country band ever! As good as Conway’s records were, he was even better live. I’ve seen him over 100 times live between 1966 and 1993. I especially liked his early country songs, but I think some of the records were over produced with too many background singers. This video has a much purer sound with just Conway and Big Joe Lewis singing and great instrumental work by John Hughey. Hope When The Cowboy Sings has more videos like this. Thanks for posting.

Love Conway Twitty ❤️ and I still say that the Hello Darlin' album is one of the greatest Country Music albums ever recorded.

It’s amazing how well he was accepted by the country music fans considering that when he first started out in music he was considered to be a “Rocker” and rockers were despised by the country music fans.

Dim lights and thick smoke is the right title, and it's written by Joe Maphis / Max Fidler / Rose Lee.

I was born 10 years after Conway Twitty passed away. But He’s my fave singer ever. I always feel a since of pride for where I’m from when I hear these 5 singers:
    Conway Twitty
    Charley Pride
    Jimmy Buffett
    BB King
    Elvis Presley
What’s the reason? They all come from the great state of Mississippi just like me.
