Back when the Jets were actually a good team. They upset the patriots in the divisional playoff game and met the steelers in the AFC Championship game
Their defense carried them while Sanchez was average.
@@bigblue9996 defense and Running game
bigblue999 actually a lot of people say that the defense carried him (they were amazing, yes) but just check his stats in the playoffs. You’d be surprised!
*Patriots, Steelers
You know what's crazy, until this year, no team since these Jets has stopped New England from making the AFC Championship
This was a really good game that got overshadowed that day by DeSean's punt return. Heck, this game was already underway right as that was going down.
It was and Jason Taylor ended it with that safety
Loved those Rex Ryan jets
it's a shame he got ran out of town.
He’s a fat slob who thinks he was a great coach please what a joke
@@wesss365 he’d slap your face off if you ever said tht to his face. Shut your fuckin mouth little boy
@Cassius Hudson Alright
@@wesss365 🤡
shon greene and LT was a deadly 1-2 combo
Man back when the Jets were still legit under Rex Ryan , wow , it’s been far too long since they were THAT good , but what a game this was
I really hope the Jets can reach these levels again soon. It's been far too long at this point. Almost a decade! :(
It’s officially a decade. We will get there some day and it’ll feel so damn good
@@ZachWilsonsMomsFriend The Jets are on a downward spiral and keep getting worse.
@@petersmitt2485 wrong about that, great free agency, back to back great drafts. They’ll shock you this year if you think they’re getting worse
Coming from a jets fan here, I was only 6 years old when this game happened and when the jets went to the afc championship that year I was so excited. Even though we lost to the Steelers, I was still happy that we we got that close. It is just crazy to think that mark Sanchez and Rex Ryan beat Peyton Manning and Tom Brady I’m back to back weeks of the playoffs and he had a 4-2 record on the road. Even though the defense got us there back to back years, Sanchez still played good and we had a lot of weapons like LT, Braylon, cotchery, shonn Greene, santonio Holmes, and Dustin Keller
Theyll be at this level again for 2 years, then stuff will happen, the media will talk mad ish and the 10 year Jets cycle will repeat
Jake Buchsbaum yea the defensive line was like 4th in the entire league and the offensive line had a couple pro bowlers
*Jets
@@fredleeland2464 you ain't seem shit yet
@@missaelrivera2346 this comment is true. Best defense in the league and with a qb a deep playoff run is possible
Smh, these are the seasons i cherish as a jets fan.
I wish this was the AFC Championship and not the regular season. This was such a great game. Jets were legit back then
The Jets had a really good team and got far in 2009-2010. Love Rex Ryan.
I completely forgot about mike wallace, one of my favs
You know Mike Wallace right now is a free agent
There's this one td he had vs the bengals that was sick
Fabian Ramirez Basically retired i thought
A vet Jason Taylor really stepped up and saved the game
This the jets team that beat the 14-2 Patriots
*Jets
As a Jets fan I miss these times SO MUCH!
But they didn't win anything!
This was an amazing game holy shit
If the game this sunday is anywhere close to this...
I wonder if either of these teams dreamed they would be meeting in the AFC champ a few weeks later....
I dreamed they would, best chance for the Steelers to be in the Superbowl
you hear at the end Ryan saying “see you in there, we’re gonna play again” and Tomlin saying “you know it”
Emmanuel Sanders has been in the league for a long time.
This was like his 2nd year ab was on the Steelers but was never playing
7:28 that pass from Sanchez to Edwards was a thing of beauty.
Such a great exchange between Ryan and Tomlin at the end
Lt was still balling out in a NYJ jeresy
What I remember about 2010 was that people were 2 games away from seeing a New York Jets vs Chicago Bears Super Bowl. Bizarre but would have been cool
The only difference is that Bell isn't a big a legend as Holmes was for the Steelers.
Jets D was mad underrated
I can’t believe it was 9 years ago the jets were good
Those Jets teams were really good
Rex Ryan was one hell of a coach, took Sanchez to 2 AFC Championship games
Defense
He should at least be a D Coordinator in the NFL. Great defensive minded coach
Lunatic Reviews Madvillainy is a god tier album
@@deadpanduke19 👍🏿
Santonio Holmes' return to Pittsburgh.
I’m surprised Jets-Steelers 2014 wasn’t used. That was a huge upset that nearly cost the Steelers the division.
AFC Championship preview.
Man, seeing Ladanian Tomlinson play for the Jets will never not be weird for me.
Jets first regular season win in the state of Pennsylvania
Gotta love Heinz field under the lights... those crowd reactions to the last drive. I miss visor Ben, I feel like the Steelers are one of those teams that should be good every year, and it just feels wrong if they aren’t
The Steelers got their revenge in the AFC Title game though.
They shouldn't have lost this game but indeed they did
Joe I thought they won this one
The jets Offensive Line was absolutely ELITE! Sanchez had all day to throw! Miss the 2009, 2010 NY Jets!
Me too. This was the era of NFL I grew up on
Rex Ryan appeared to be a football genius back then... their team seemed to be one of the best coached, most creative play calling, and a roster full of dogs. It’s crazy how fast things can change and become forgotten history
LOL I loved Nantz's call on the opening kickoff TD. It sounded just like some guy describing it in a bar.
Jets fans sure wish it could be 2010 all over again eh?
Toni Romo elevates nantz's so more, this need to be a team for a next year a MNF cast.
This brings back great memories of the JETS when they were a top 5 team. I believe Darnold will take us to the promise land just give him receivers like Holmes and Edwards! Sanchez from 2009 to 2010 was amazing to watch!
All the field goals they passed up on in this game are very very makeable in the NFL today!
Didn’t watch a lot of games before that, but that was the first time I rly experienced excitement as a Jets fan after that ending
I don't care what nobody says Rashard Mendenhall was a beast. If the Steelers had a offensive line back then he would have been a hall of famer
He cost the Steelers a Superbowl by fumbling
@@thefriendlygamer2221 Yeah I remember that super bowl and I was heated when he fumbled the ball to Klay Matthews, I didn't understand with arms as big as his why he couldn't tuck the ball in tight he fumbled the ball through his career but you can see the skills, talent, and toughness when he ran the ball and the Steelers O line was trash that's why Big Ben was the most sacked Quarterback in the league
THE FRIENDLY GAMER That was right at the beginning of the 4th in a close game. I wouldn’t say that play cost the Steelers the win
I can’t believe that the jets were once 10-4 in a season during my lifetime
I was 1 year old when the Jets last won their one and only Super bowl I hope and pray one of these days they win.
I guess I didn’t read the video description thoroughly because I SWORE this game was the AFC Championship, I knew something was off when Brad Smith scored on the opening kickoff because I don’t remember that in the AFC Championship, and now it came backs to me, I remember the Jets beating them in the regular season before the playoff loss, snow was coming down and I remember Jason Taylor getting the safety
I miss this jets team so much
God I miss this jets team hopefully Sam brings us back to this!
Nope, maybe t law
@@Dino-tz8rb now you gotta hope it’s Zach Wilson
This was back when the New York Jets were talent-laden and even had Jason Taylor on the roster, who had a key safety in the game. Troy Polamalu, the defensive player of 2010, not playing was the main factor in the Jets victory.
Mendenhall gives me PTSD. Jets team should have thrown more in AFCCG. That 2010 team was so good
Powerful hits yeahhh
Super show
Post Dallas vs Philly from 2008 where birds destroyed them 44-6!
Dam ... smh these was the days
Thank you for not putting the afc championship game and making us jets fans relive that game.
ken boyd it was an almost epic comeback. Down 24-0 in the first half, lost 24-19
Hi NFL Throwback. Please do a Titans-Saints classic game highlight.
Squellers got their revenge in the 2010 AFCCG
Ah, what's a squeller???? You Doofus!
@@Thomas-wx4ti Shittsburgh Squellers unless you are big fan.
Lmao
I remember being at this game. As soon as the opening kickoff was over, I was sure the Steelers would lose the game. It just had that feeling.
They couldn't get the job in the afc championship at the goaline that year
Did they have flex scheduling in 2010? I’m surprised this wasn’t moved to Sunday Night.
What the hell happened to mark Sánchez??? He was descent QB
I cried after this game lol
Sunday 12.19.2010
Should’ve posted the 2004 divisional game
That's the game I wanted too.
If the Jets were on the Steelers' schedule this year, could you imagine how big the point differential spread would be?
💪
Thought that was Dez in the thumbnail
11:06 Clear block in the back by Wallace, right in front of the ref on the sideline....
I'm a greenbay fan but to be honest the jets had a good ass defense then
13:40 we'll play again. They did and the Steelers won it in the AFC championship game
Jets 2010 🔥
Rex was sooooo conservative, punting twice from opponents 40 yard line, Ben made him pay the first time and he does it again in 4th, when Rex was coach with buff in a home game against Miami we needed to win to keep playoff hopes alive he chose to punt on 4th and 4 in OT under 2mins so a tie eliminates you and we lost game cuz jay ajayi punched us in the mouth
Can you imagine if this was the AFC championship game that season? That means the Jets would have went to the Superbowl by beating Manning, Brady and Big Ben all on the road in the playoffs.
It was the AFC title game that year
@@thomascrowley9122 I'm saying the outcome.
MRTUPAC 28 and Rogers
These uniforms are so much better and professional looking than the garbage they have on now.
Ground and pound....
Jets fans have had it rough this decade maybe they will do better in the 2020s.
Jets were really 2 more Brett Favre years from maybe even reaching a Super Bowl
That Steelers receiver corps tho
Damn, Steve Weatherford was dropping those punts inside the 10, what a game for him. The Steelers special teams was predictably trash, of course.
We should've beaten those guys in the title game. Defense flopped in the 1st half.
What happened a month later?
Plax!!!
This was the same day of the Miracle at the New Meadowlands.
At least one New York team didn't blow it.
I feel bad for Jets fans
Smart Kid Jimmy thanks for your sympathy
15 years of misery but thank you
Steelers wrecked them when it counted in AFC Championship game.
Get ready for Sunday. We’re gonna have a massive 20-17 upset and the Steelers will officially be exposed as the non-playoff team they are.
@Ryan Irwin- Diehl Truth
@Ryan Irwin- Diehl I am certain that Sean McDermott in Buffalo and Kyle Shanahan will get more attention for coach of the year.
But Mike Tomlin is down to his third QB, 3 or 4th WR, 3rd and 4th RB- who knows whom else. Duck Hodges is running a reduced, patched together playbook of an offense designed for Ben Roethlisberger. I have no idea how The Steelers are 8-6. Okay-the defense has been fantastic-but 8-6 from this squad is absurd.
If there is an justice, Mike Tomlin is Coach of The Year.
The fact that the Steelers are even in the playoff hunt at all is a miracle lol they were 1-4 with literally no one on the offensive side. You’re a clown man
We never expected to be playoff contenders. At 8-6 they have exceeded 2019 expectations big time. That's what good coaching does, something the Jets never have. With the Bill's playing as good as they r this year, the Jets r the Bengals of the AFC East.. You Jets fans need to watch a real coach like Tomlin, even with our 4th string QB, and banged up RBs we r playing well beyond expectations and have never yet experienced a losing season, unlike u guys however.....
Heath N Yeah I'm definitely not a Jets fan
That Steelers O Line was atrocious in 2010. Jonathon Scott #72 had no business being a Left Tackle. Brings back bad memories yuck lol.
And then................. you know what I mean.
The Jets really fk'd up changing these iconic uniforms.. Teams need to stop nike from ruining their classic uni's..
Jets
Jets a ganar
We Jets played good but you can tell the Steelers for better
If there's a nfl throwback why not a cfb throwback
Jets ganamos
Ok good win for the Jets but why couldn't the Jets beat the Steelers in the AFC Championship Game that season. 🤔. It should of been Packers vs Jets Super Bowl 45 but the Steelers play differently in the playoffs its like they elevate in the post season or use to.I like the Jets and I am not from New York but it would be cool if they wun a Super Bowl in the future.
New York Jets was member AFC East Division from 1970 through 1993 and Pittsburgh Steelers was member AFC Central Division from 1970 through 1993 era
Jeffery Robertson YOUR EVERYWHERE
William Wright I'm old school NFL from 1970 through 1993 era
I see you everywhere, you sound like a robot. You are like the 'Alexa' of RUclips comments...
The Steelers won the rematch only to lose in the Superbowl. 😀
Looking at those records at the bottom the NFL completely flipped
Jets only win in Pittsburgh
Until 2022 :(
I thought they won this game

God loves YOU!! He died for us so we can be saved and have eternal life!! And he wants a personal relationship with us!! How great is his love!! Have a great day!!
And still couldn’t make it to the super bowl..
First
Kinda miss Antonio Brown on the field
Nope. A lot of us don't. U can bet on that, right?
