I’d love to see your take on Fire Emblem Awakening, this has been a surprisingly in-depth and fun series, it would be great to see you take this to other titles

You know the only required unit for the tower that has staff access is Micaiah. I often find myself bringing an extra mage or two just for the extra staves. Mages really aren’t that great in this game especially in the tower but an extra staff bot can be helpful depending on your team comp. If you’re comfy with just Micaiah that’s obviously fine.

Hi, I hope you read messages from old videos. Im almost finishing this game and let me tell you. Broom and Nephe A support its really good and playing with them near its like playing with the Greil Mercenaries, So get Broom tier 3 with a support playing near nephe and you will see. Also Rolf surpass Shinoo by A LOT if you train him and get him to tier 3.

On Nailah, she has a skill called Glare that is infinitely useful for training the Dawn Brigade. Because of staves work in Radiant Dawn, they passively their holder every turn, she can petrify a priest thereby raising their defense and creating a perfect training dummy for weak DB units. Do be aware that it does have a low hit chance and petrified units count as dead from the rout maps, but proper use of her petrify skill and bronze weapons will make a huge difference in training units.
I managed to get Meg to tier 3 using this method.
Aran is a much tangier Nephenee. Marcia tends to be very fast with very high strength.
Fiona tier 3 is viable but the difficulty is getting her there. When she hits silver knight she becomes a self sustaining walking tank due to her absurd defense and her innate Renewal skill.
I'm a weird one who actually prefers Rolf over Shinon. If you can take the time to train him he becomes an absolute monster once he gets close to marksman

Personally, I've only ever used Edward and Nolan on the dawn brigade, Ike, Haar, and Neph on the mercs. Ed and nolan get a great support bonus together, and both boast fantastic growths in what they need. Coupled with bexp exploit and the insane amounts of exp laguz give in part 3, they have no trouble keeping up with the mercs, even beating them in part 3-13. Haar can join the mercs in tier 3 if you're quick enough in elincias' gambit and then sit back while Ike and neph clean house in the mercs section and max out their levels. Never a dull run with these 5

7:07 Edward is definitely the best growth reliant unit in Part 1 (arguably the whole game), however, he suffers the same weaknesses that every growth reliant unit does, as he starts out really weak and he's susceptible to get RNG screwed, specially on Hard Mode where he doesn't have Weapon Triangle Advantage over Axe enemies.
I usually use both Edward and Zihark simultaneously, but the one I end up bringing to the Tower is always Mia.

Eddie definitely takes alot of growing, and I've definitely had at least one playthrough where his defense gets cucked, but I find that by the time he hits his promotions, especially true blade he has great strength, skill and speed, and even defense/health end up not being a problem by the time goddess tower rolls by. I might be biased since Radiant Dawn was one of my childhood favourites, but I can def recommend him.

So a couple questions: how many times have you beaten RD? Do you tend to promote every dawn brigade unit to second tier?

    • @LC356
      @LC356  2 года назад

I've beaten it around 4-5 times. Also no typically I don't. Outside of the forced promotions of Sothe/Mic I only get Nolan/Ed to Tier 3 at the very most.

So I’m currently doing a second RD iron man (Hard/maniac, 2 losses, at attempt 3, and I haven’t played PoR lol) rn and here are my current thoughts:
-I maxed out Aran’s def and skill in part 1, so I would use him as a mini tank especially in part 3 to tank Laguz. But once I clear 3-13, I would drop him or let him die for goddess girl Nephenee.
-I think the problem with Leanne for me is that she’s too frail and I’m too scared to use her bc I’m afraid that her avoid rate would still get her killed even when transformed.
-Rolf this time around kept throwing out crits here and there and everytime I would have him chip for my other units to get kills, Rolf would crit at like the lowest percentages and I would be speechless.
Jill is kind of a weird one for me because in part 1, her biorhythm is wack and her growths were unlucky for me, so I had a hard time trying to grind her. I also spent a very frustrating time trying to get her to cap 1 stat (preferably skill or spd, or Str) and closest I end up getting is 19 spd for part 1, plus she had more misses than hits when trying to finish some units off (probably bc I’m having her use Hammer and take down armors) but even on non armors and a steel axe, she would miss. I’m pretty sure that Jill is supposedly good in the long run, but until I can reach part 4, I’ll just have to see.
You are absolutely right, Gatrie is a beast in this game and technically he can take 2 hits from mages except that he’s had great dodges against magic attacks and it’s just mind-blowing to me that blue Tauroneo exists.
For endgame, my strategy for endgame is use 2 or 3 Axe wielders, 1 mage, 2 healers, 1 or 2 Lance wielders, 1 archer, 2 sword users, and maybe 1 Laguz royal. If any of the broken units survive, my main line-up would be Haar, Jill, Nolan, Soren, Mist, Elincia, Nephenee, Shinon, Mia, Edward, and Tibarn. Substitutes would be Titania, Gatrie, Geoffrey, Rolf, Zihark, Pelleas bc why not, and Ranulf.
Those are my thoughts at the moment.

I'm glad someone at least understands my issues with Jill and the reasons why I use Aran.
Aran is one of the tankier units in the game. I'd even argue that by the time he gets to Halberdier, he's more defensively bulky than Tauruneo.
As for Jill, she's okay, but I think Haar does way better on his growths. He usually caps all the important stats, meanwhile Jill can struggle to cap strength.

    • @henryreturns1397
      @henryreturns1397 5 месяцев назад +1

@@ResurgentRaven Big difference between Haar and Jill and late reply :
      - Jill requires a lot of help , bonus exp , and more to be this super strong unit because "wyvern knights" in this game are broken
      - Not only that , the main reason Jill is chosen over Nolan or Aran who might have better caps and better growths is that they are "foot lock units"
      - Haar on the other hand comes as a complete package and he IS BROKEN. He is only a few levels from a 3rd tier promotion , and his availability is right there.
      - You slap there that his only weakness is "magic" , you give him pure water , and if you wanna just steamroll , just give him a speedwings , put him in the middle of enemy phase , go for a snack , and comeback for profit

Great video!! Agree with most said.
I know you didn’t cover Maniac mode, but it’s interesting to note that on that mode it’s almost a richer get richer scheme, where the great units become even better because of the lack of exp and higher cost of usage. Especially Haar.
I just can’t like Mia though, her low atk stat and locked to swords in a game where fliers and high defense are necessary (given that biorhythm affects dodging) just never worked for me personally. Even more exacerbated in maniac mode.

This is a Tier list for people that won't put enough work on thier characters. Yes, every character in this game can be made good with effort but i will talk about those that turn incredible and not just good.
Laura: is the only "mage" type unit that can be an offensive powerhouse without being made of glass like Micaiah.
Vika: avoid is the difference between reliable and not for me and she has plenty of that, one just have to grind her in the prison (for dozens of turns).
Rolf: I tend to use my archers behind a screen all the time and with the work and the Double Bow Rolf's high strength makes him an artillery piece for me.
Leane: in my opinion the best but not the most durable of the herons, her Galdr pattern fits perfectly with may play style and I use her allways.
