The rhythm of this song is really nice, I think! Zakuro's performance has a lot of emotion in it too...It's pretty different from Natsuhi's song (the previous post) in every aspect, which is a lot of fun.

the song for me is exactly after R-prime, Rosa already in hell/purgatory having regrets forever. Notice Maria isn't with her anymore. Then here comes Beatrice and weaves episode 2. Rosa doesn't know about the explosion since she died from a bullet, but she follows the plan of the witch in order to "rewrite" the events.
“My coffee has become lukewarm and started to taste of futility.” Man, that’s a really great line. There’s a dismissive flippant attitude about it, but it’s also tinged with self pity; perfectly fitting of Rosa.

Rosa's character makes me want to cry. Even throughout her most horrid moments in Umineko, she was a character of pure tragedy. Nothing ever goes right for her.
*spoilers if you haven't read past Episode 4*
Constant childhood abuse from her father and adult siblings, accidentally killing the only possible friend she could have, and being an emotionally stunted adult that was impregnated and left by a man she thought would finally be here with her. In this song, she acknowledges Maria was the only happiness in life for her, but that black witch side of her could not come to terms with that. Her entire world is filled with hatred and contempt for herself and others.
I absolutely hated how she got brutally tortured in the meta 3 fucking times. Maybe 1 of them was deserved, but the afterlife was not kind to her like it was to others.

It was foreshadowed from the very first episode. The rose garden, the rose petals, the rose in Maria's hair, and most of all, the golden rose that falls on top of the catbox at the bottom of the sea. The 'heart' of this story was Rosa. It was her from the very beginning.
