A little bit of German here, a little bit of Italian (-- my language -- for music terms) there. And such a beautiful composition was born... and I have been so stupid to ignoring this song until today.

I know, right! But actually, in the lyrics booklet and in several printings of the actual play, it's written "eingestehn".
We chose to preserve it since it was reflected in copies of the quoted play. I don't know why this is! But it is. :)

@@ciel2634 "Eingestehn" is the shortened form of "eingestehen", it's more or less a "sloppier" version of the verb. (A somewhat similar occurrence in English is shortening a verb, like going from saying to sayin') This is generally used in non-serious contexts where people don't really care about grammatical correctness. In Evatrice's case, this is more or less meant to express her assertiveness and dismissiveness of the situation, fitting with the more "aggressive" tone of the song and vocals.

@@nuclearidiot280 Oh, that's very interesting! We didn't hit that in our research, so I'm glad you could supply some extra information about it. It's interesting that the play itself was printed with that... Maybe a character choice in there, as well. :p

@@ciel2634 Glad to have been of assistance! German has a lot of small quirks that are only really recognized by its speakers and not really colloquial dictionaries and such, so researching some of these things can really be a pain sometimes. It actually kind of surprised me to see that they chose to print it with that! Functionally, the pronunciation of "eingestehen" and "eingestehn" is pretty much identical that can only be heard if you have a *really* heavy native accent and with the accent of the vocals here, the difference would be completely unnoticeable. Still, they chose to add this, which I personally think is a really nice touch that helps with setting the tone and shows more awareness of the details of the language than I expected. My apologies for rambling, I just find this small bit a very interesting choice!
