We tested it a couple years back and the no wing tip fuel pods did give a performance boost. Maybe you could make a video testing to see if it's still true?

Well it should cause the drag would be more and the weight of the aircraft is more. I would the Italian f84g is the superior one
eh in maneuverability but you sacrifice energy retention. I do not like that at all. it feels too sluggish to me

I found with the .50 cals the tracer belts always did the job, could take pillboxes set fires every time and with the M3's people are more likely to panic when a wall of fire comes there way
The Italian F-84G was my first het in WT. I somehow managed to get an ace im my first battle, but naturally we still lost lol. Such a great jet

i would take the tracer belt over the ground belt
both can destroy light pill boxes
if you do remove the wing tips it does give a pretty big increase in performance
bc of the less weight and less drag the plane can hit its top speed relatively quickly
though at the same time it doesnt matter if u do or not
the performance increase is noticeable, but aint necessary considering u will be a support fighter and bomber interceptor
sure it can win battles, but i heavily recommend to take baits and boom and zoom during a furball
mainly bc its top speed aint something to boast about
how i usually play this plane
is take the rockets
fire them when taking off or when i spawn (air spawn)
then side climb and wait for the furball to begin or I will side climb then go after the mig 15's that are usually 1-2km below me (for some reason i like climbing to 7km)
then i will work my way down
either way you cant go wrong with this plane, but the repair cost is an issue
though when I first got the plane
i was able to fully spade the plane with 7 free repairs remaining but after u lose all that paying 17k per match if you die is a huge pain in the ass
Hence why I think I'll stick to the B26. Both have tiny tims and so should be able to remove their fuel tanks (haven't tested as I haven't gotten to the tims) but the 26 has a much lower repair and is 0.7 lower, and so only fights 8.0's in uptiers.
I love the B verion
it was my first jet and i usually had 1kill on props, the few games with the jet i had avg. of 5kills per game and hit an 8kil game on my 10th game.

That zoom climb was phenomenal, the Thunderjet just kept that speed so well. I do BnZ with the Sea Hawk FGA.6 but she doesn't seem as good as that.

My battle on USA f84 was ruin because gaijin released better f84 on italian tech tree many years ago. From that day i quit playing US F84
This plane slaps me whenever I take out my me262 lol
Since I'm a good boy I took my cronometer and made some measurements about having or not the fuel tank and the cameout is....without fuel tanks the airplane have a 0,5 second faster turn rate and a slightly better acceleration
it's only the uptiers i hate, when i don't get uptiered to 8.3 where there's missiles for Air RB, i do somewhat well. Thank you for the tips, i'll try and play this thing a bit more carefully
i think a f84 isn't a f84 without the wingtip fuel tanks, just my opinion of course. superb video i love the f84 so thx m8😄

Love your videos! I think you are hitting on a very important point for jets: Altitude doesn't confirm your safety, speed can. You don't have to be above everyone, you need to be going faster than most of them. Although an altitude of around 2-3 thousand feet doesn't hurt. (sometimes the map is just at a higher altitude, so try to go 2-3k feet above the elevation of the airfield)
But the wings when going over speed though 💀
I got the md450 as my first jet, it's decent but I honestly shouldve researched this first. the reason I didn't was cause I didn't want American planes cause if I did I would've played the American tech tree but I was wrong cause it is very good

Pro tip for f84 keep your speed above 600km/ph or like 400mph for international peoples and don’t dive all the time like let’s say there’s a me262 and a su 11 pick the su11 as he can catch you waaay easier if you chase the 262

Me-262 c2 is the best I think cause it can outspeed the Mig-15 for about 7 minutes with its rocket boosters, turns well enough, is low br, and has good cannons

real ones remember having to turn early jets around on runways like hokkaido to make them long enough to take off from
anybody know how to land this thing? I somehow keep dying once my plane hits the ground.
Can anyone give me tips on how to even use this thing I almost always get swamped with 4 planes on my tail and cant even do a simple turn or do any maneuvers without instantly losing all my energy. Even when I do it's so painfully slow I'm basically free sl and exp. I'm sure it's just stock syndrome but I feel like I'm doing something wrong with it

I remember when the best starting jet was P80, not because it was good but because it was absolute dogshit, especially in energy retention when turning and energy generation. It forced you to learn how to play jets. I also remember hokaido taking of. Unless you spalled the engine while breaking at the start, you would not make it...

IRL 2467,5 kgf (with afterburner .... ooops gaijin didnt remember allison has afterburner LoL .... it has 3265,8 kgf)
real rank: > tier 5 8.7 because has no guided missiles LoL
You know it's a fast plane when it's also in the Italian tech tree, and the whole point of the Italian mid and top tier is that if it's fast it's good
I think the best starter jet is the f80a5 and the f84
Great in RB, utterly horrible in Sim.
Context: Vehicles have different br in different types of battle mode, and the BR brackets are sim battles exclusive.
F-84G (US, Italy, France and China) are 7.7 in RB, but 8.0 in SB. For BR brackets, you can only get into [8.0 ~ 9.3] matches. There are no random +/- 1.0 Br matches, only [8.0 ~ 9.3] aircrafts, and yes, a 1.3 Br gap is normal in SB.
Now for rant:
F-84s (non F variant) are completely incapable of doing anything in this BR bracket.
Enemies you face are vastly superior. Planes like CL-13s, F-86K, G.91s, MiG-15s and F-86Fs (Japanese), you don't see them very often in RB either because of matchmaking limiting the top tier to 4 players per team or the BR gap is greater than 1.0.
In SB however, [8.0 ~ 9.3] are always flooded with these planes, especially the SB br 9.3 planes because usually they're the only ones that have missiles and have way superior flight performance.
In addition, F-84s (non F variant) are so slow that surveillance and 'bomber' AI aircrafts outfly them. Even in a best case scenario where you're flying a fully spaded, on the 'bombers' flight path and can dive, 3 AI kills is the maximum you can achieve per 'bomber' objective.
What about playing as their designated role "Strike Aircraft"? Rewards for destroying AI ground targets and bases are unfortunately still pretty pathetic after Sim EC economy changes. The lack of bomb sight or ballistic computer forces F-84s to fly low, but almost all SB engagements happen in low altitude and with missiles, the chance of getting to the objectives is very low, and next to impossible if you want to RTB to cover the spawn cost.
'Fun fact': F-84B at 7.3 in RB is at 8.0 in SB lol. In general, nearly all SB 8.0 aircrafts suffer from this over tiered issue, but I think nearly all F-84 variants suffer much worse.
'Another fun fact': Sagittario 2 at 9.0 in RB is at 8.0 in SB, and there are plenty of aircrafts having lower than RB br in SB.

Definitely a good jet but both the Su11 and Me262 C1A are better then the F84s.
I’d say it depends on the scenario, but yes. The lack of an air brake does hurt the 262. The F84G has better acceleration so it’s kind of a mig 21 vs a f104 scenario.
