Hello, the ball bearing shown at 11:11, was that included in the seal kit HYG 73239? Or did you have to order that separately? Thank you for the video! I have to do this project on my gravely with the same ZT3400
Hey there. Pretty sure this is the one I used www.napaonline.com/en/p/BRG6203J I say at 15:58 that its part number 6203 which is a generic bearing number. I think any 6203 bearing that is not sealed will work. Good luck!
You could also call hydro-gear and ask for their part number if you want to be absolutely sure. Ive had pretty good luck getting support from them on the phone.
can i replace the orings on the flush end of the brake shaft on the opposite end of the link without a total teardown? will the shaft move out far enough if i remove the link and push it maybe an inch?
The hub actually broke off when I was using the puller. Only 4 lugs now. I just need to replace the seal behind it. But damn that hub is ridiculous to get off. I dont even know if hydrogear sells just a hub. Any advice?
@@PeckerheadFixesItmy new mower has 16 hours. I don’t cut grass for a living. I just cut my grass only. It’ll be many, many, many years before it sees 2,000 hours! I’ll be 40 this year and it should outlast me. I have a 2022 Hustler Fastrak SDX 60. It just made a year old. It has the ZT3400 transmissions.
Very interesting. Since there was metal in the unit and you had it all torn apart, why did you not clean the inside out?
I did

@@jw-bu8pr I’m pretty sure you can not do that but I have not tried
Watch starting at the 37 min mark. It looks like you might. Try to get a good grip on it and see if it will

Hydro gear should sell just the hub. You have to call them to get the part number and then buy it from one of their dealers. If not I might have one.
Same for me. I cut it off!
OMG pulling that hub was crazy ! I would have given up lol
It was worth saving $1000 avoiding buying a new one
How many hours was on the mower at the time the seal kit was installed?
I want to say less than 2000

Just make sure you change the oil in the transaxles periodically and you should be fine
@@PeckerheadFixesItat how many hours should I change the hydro oil & filters?
Hydro gear says first change after 100hrs and then every 400hrs after that.
