Air Disasters Compilation #5 - Besiege

TAM 3054 was a commercial passenger flight from Porto Alegre, Brazil to São Paulo, Brazil on July 17th, 2007 carrying 187 people. The plane was an A320-200 registered PR-MBK.
Crash:
It was extremely rainy in São Paulo at the time and the runways in São Paulo were extremely wet and slippery, the 4 runways were also undergoing a resurface but this took the grooves off of the runway making it harder to stop. The plane's right engine's thrust reverser hadn't been operational for the past 4 days due to a jam so the plane had to land without it, when the plane landed it was unable to stop, the aircraft veered left across the runway and over a busy highway before slamming into a TAM airlines building. All 187 people on the plane were killed and 12 people on the ground died, this is the deadliest aviation accident in Brazilian history.
Investigation:
The right engine's throttle had been kept in the climb power position, this caused the right engine to increase speed and the left engine to decrease in speed keeping the plane from stopping, the position of the right throttle also prevented the spoilers from deploying not to mention the slippery runway and conditions at the time.
Manx2 7100 was a commercial passenger flight from Belfast, United Kingdom to Cork, Ireland on February 10th, 2011 carrying 12 people.
The plane was a Fairchild SA 227-BC Metro III Registered EC-ITP.
Crash:
The plane made 2 go-arounds at 2 different airports before deciding to land at Shannon airport, as the plane descended to 100 feet in severe fog it suddenly rolled left before rolling right, the plane's right wing disintegrated as the aircraft rolled over on it's back and caught on fire before coming to a rest killing 6 out of the 12 people.
Investigation:
The First Officer was giving the controls over to the Captain when he reduced power and rolled a little left, the Captain was about to make a 3rd go-around so applied go-around power and rolled right, the pilots lost total control of the plane and it crashed in the fog.
Hawaiian Airlines 118 was a commercial passenger flight from Honolulu, Hawaii to Kona, Hawaii on May 12th, 2015 carrying 78 people. The plane was a 717 but I could not find the registration.
Incident:
Halfway through the flight, the pilots heard a loud bang, the left engine was making an unusual noise so the pilots shut it down, the crew decided to make an emergency landing at Kahului on the Island of Maui. The emergency landing was successful and everyone on board survived.
Investigation:
The left engine began surging and partially failed in-flight and it was smoking up until it was shut down at Kahului, I was unable to find why the engine surged but it was most likely an electrical issue.
Cathay Pacific 780 was a commercial passenger flight from Surabaya, Indonesia to Hong Kong on April 13th, 2010 carrying 322 people. The plane was an A330 registered B-HLL.
Incident:
As the plane was flying through 39,000 feet the pilots received warnings about engine No.2, while descending through 8,000 feet they started receiving warnings about engine No.1 signifying a compressor stall, when the crew tried to reduce engine No.1's speed they realized the speed wouldn't decrease past 74% while engine No.2 was at 17%. The crew performed an emergency landing at Hong Kong while flying Overspeed, everyone survived but 57 people were injured.
Investigation:
The plane's fuel and systems were filled with spherical particles that had entered the tanks during refueling at Surabaya, the particles had clogged the systems causing the loss of thrust control.
Faucett 251 was a commercial passenger flight from Lima, Peru to Tacna, Peru with a stopover in Arequipa, Peru on February 29th, 1996 carrying 123 people. The plane was a 737-200 registered OB-1451
Crash:
The plane was approaching runway 9 at Arequipa in the rain in the middle of the night, visibility was low and the pilots could barely see. The plane crashed into a hill at 8,200 feet 1.1 nautical miles short of the runway killing everyone on board. The elevation of the airport is 8,500 feet.
Investigation:
The pilots had received an outdated altimeter setting later than they should have meaning the pilots descended past the glideslope by about 1,000 feet, the crew thought they were at 9,500 feet when they hit the hill when they were really at 8,200 feet.
