    I like that you show the reference photo, which many RUclips artists do not. So important so we can see how you are interpreting it.

    The likeness is amazing. It must be very difficult, though you make it look easy! The way you use the blue on the shadow side of the face is very brave. What a talented artist you are!

    A very nice example of warm and cool, painted thickly with excellent brush strokes. Think of Zorn and Sorolla.

      I suggest to mix odorless thinner (like Gamsol) with stand linseed oil, it's a very good medium.

    Hi..What materials do u use while painting to make colors dry out quickly? when adding color on top of another color they mix and melt and then you will be in trouble of coloring... Help.

    • @SergeyGusevArtist
      @SergeyGusevArtist  5 лет назад +1

      Hi, I actually don't use any medium to speed drying process up, maybe you have too much oil in your paints?

    • @winterahmed1
      @winterahmed1 5 лет назад

      @@SergeyGusevArtist I really don’t know that I mess my paints too many times... I use kerosine to dry ground color quickly, it takes like 2 days, then while doing the paint I mess it up many times and I get in trouble when adding color on top of another, I try to do like what u do and then I get wrong work and not good paint, what do u think I should do?

    • @SergeyGusevArtist
      @SergeyGusevArtist  5 лет назад +1

      @@winterahmed1 Maybe dry each layer before applying a new one, so nothing mixes up.

    click on the gear icon t bottom right to allow captions in English.
    After reading a few sentences of the captions, though, I must say that the automatic translation isn’t very good.
