The Benz310 is a great campervan. Although the 310 in my channel is not 4x4, it is beautiful enough to take me on general roads for long-term outdoor trips. I am very happy that you have come to Taiwan. One day we will meet each other^ __^

What a great truck. The design is excellent, especially where you manage to incorporate 2 uses for things like a seat and a bed with a cooker that can be on a sink or one of your many dropdown shelves. Love your shower / toilet setup - excellent ideas. i have a land rover 110 with a camping trailer and a 130 like Grizly & Bear but mine is fixed and has a lifting roof. I hope you do not mind if I use some of your ideas.
Wow! How cool are the cameras at the outer mirrors! Perfect for parking issues! I haven't seen such a setup anywhere. I'm intrigued to set up something like this for myself, though I guess I would need to buy the parts separately because I haven't seen this as a kit yet.
Finally you have found a qualtiy car ! A fantastic machine, great expansion, I am real impressed, I think nearly for etenity, means the defender is at that time history:-)
Mercedes parts cost isn't that bad, I own an '84 Toyota Landcruiser and parts are more expensive than eighties Mercedes vans and the generic models. Also the parts availability for Mercedes is incredible, almost all parts are still available as a factory part.
@@svenvanwesterloo173 that is a very fair point! And if I'm honest I mainly compared G-wagons to defenders and land cruisers in my very short googling spree a few years back. So you are completely correct, I have very limited knowledge on this specific mercedes van, and I believe sprinters are incredibly popular overland vehicles, which probably means they aren't that expensive. Mercedes ofcourse also has the benifit of reliability, comfort and great coverage worldwide.

Sprinters are indeed becoming loved overland vehicles but they are very expensive, but they have exactly the advantages which you mentioned. They are well built, comfortable, great parts coverage. Also, they are available as an automatic, 4wd etc. etc. If only money wasn't an issue. ;-)

There are many types of hot springs in Taiwan, I've only been to a few, one near La La Shan, in a river bed was amazing. Enjoy and have fun.

This Merc. is an impressively nice build! And a very expensive one: I would assume at least ~25 -30.000$ when done w/o labor costs and the Car itself.
For a very well conditioned 4WD!! T1 you will have to pay this just for the base. No conversion into a camper yet. 2WD are the far cheaper choice.
