    I've been using JBCO for about 2/3 years since officially starting my hair journey and I have to say it has definitely made a difference to the thickness of my hair so many people have noticed. When I think about what I've used consistently since the beginning I have to put it down to that, my hair loves it! Great video xx

      Thank you and great to hear the JBCO has worked well for your hair 😊

      How do you apply the castor oil, or rather, what do you mix it with?

    • @herroyalstylenessa1307
      @herroyalstylenessa1307 9 лет назад +1

      Hey Shanelle Charles I mix it with a bit of peppermint oil and apply it using a plastic bottle with a nozzle cap attachment and massage it into my scalp :)

    thanks for the video!! do u think braiding your hair is bad while on the journey to grow it? During winter my hair at the back falls off and I was thinking of braiding it during that time.

    • @HealthyAfroHair
      @HealthyAfroHair  9 лет назад +1

      +Mbali Mambo Your welcome. No, braiding is fine, however, it depends on how it's done. For example, if it's done too tight, then it will eventually lead to breakage, especially around the edges, so just keep it loose.

    thank you so much for this. please when exactly should we apply these condiments? is it after washing or before washing?
    thank you

      +christy ojo You’re welcome. Some can be done before or after. The best thing would be to research the method you wish to apply, then take it from there.

    Great tips Julie! I did henna my hair once and it almost came out orange looking and I had to use indingo to correct it which in turn broke all my hair so,the best way to go with henna is Henna gloss (mixing with conditioner) and again this was my experience just be careful!

    Great video!!! Q: when you say honey, do you mean honey as a food and in cooking? And if so, can you really put that in your conditioner and your hair? Thank you in advance!!

    • @HealthyAfroHair
      @HealthyAfroHair  9 лет назад

      Thank you. Yes Honey, as in the food and many people do it all the time, mixed with oils, conditioners etc.

    I had very thick and shiny naturally more greasy hair in my teens. and now I have gotten thyroid problems. I now have half of the thick hair I was so proud of before!. . Will I EVER get my hair quality and thickness back?? thanks xx

    • @Hazelbazel483
      @Hazelbazel483 8 лет назад

      @shockingeyes777 I know I'm very late, but yes you can. There are many people who have. Look up Iodine deficiency related to thyroid problems. I promise you this is not a scam or anything. Iodine deficiency plays a HUGE role in thyroid problems. Once you fix that underlining problem everything else will fall into place.

    Very useful information thanks for it. I was wondering about my daughter's hair it doesn't look healthy. she's 10 shall I use the same method to her as well?

    • @HealthyAfroHair
      @HealthyAfroHair  9 лет назад

      Thanks, glad to hear it! :) She's still quite young, so I'd say not to carry out the Henna treatments and definitely not give her the Biotin tablets, but she can get biotin via foods (as mentioned).

    With the biotin really want to try it but I don't know the basis.As a beginner should I use the 1000mg or 5000mg?

    • @HealthyAfroHair
      @HealthyAfroHair  7 лет назад

      I'd suggest starting with a smaller dosage and seeing how it goes. But if you don't know much about biotin, then get some advice from staff in your local pharmacy. Another thing, if you do decide to take it, make sure you drink plenty of water, as it's known to cause breakouts.

    Is the smell of the onion juice completely removed after i wash it ?

  • @farronsapp3453
    @farronsapp3453 8 лет назад

    With the onion juice, can we put it in our shampoo or condition or we have to drink it?

    • @HealthyAfroHair
      @HealthyAfroHair  8 лет назад +1

      You can definitely drink the onion juice, if you like. But if you want to add it to your hair, then I'd suggest following the methods mentioned in my video, which was to massage it into your roots, leave it on for about 30 mins, then rinse off. You can use a shampoo to wash it out and then follow it up with a conditioning treatment.

    I braid my hair basically every night for waves, and I'm afraid I have very bad split ends. Is it ok to braid my hair, because I half no clue what to do besides that, I don't like my natural hair!

    • @HealthyAfroHair
      @HealthyAfroHair  9 лет назад

      You're welcome! Too much manipulation can lead to breakage, so I would recommend that you give your hair a break from doing this everyday. Maybe try to preserve the style, so that you don't have to do it on a daily basis. As for your split ends, avoid braiding your hair all the way to the ends (as they're very fragile) and might be the reason for the damaged ends.

    Did you wear your real hair in the beginning of your hair growth.. My hair is so damaged and I don't want to wear my really hair :/

    • @HealthyAfroHair
      @HealthyAfroHair  9 лет назад

      Yes, I've worn my real hair throughout my hair journey. But if you don't want to wear yours, you can always wear protective hairstyles such as; braids, weaves, half & full wigs etc.

    • @235baller

      Healthy Afro Hair thank you! I was planning on getting a wig soon they are really nice. And when you wore your natural hair howx you style it because I don't wanna flat iron it

    Doesn't the henna change your hair color?

    • @HealthyAfroHair
      @HealthyAfroHair  9 лет назад

      Apparently it can make it darker or add a reddish colour in some areas, which is from where the damaged cuticles have been filled. But I believe the colour is suttle and only really noticeable in sunlight.

      I’ve not tried it, so not sure. But I’d assume once you applied other products it would mask the smell.
