It would be worth investing in one to really improve the condition of your hair. There are many different kinds; you can either purchase the 'Portable Table Top Hood Dryer' or you can opt for the 'Portable Hood Dryer - Hairdryer Attachment'. However, if money is an issue, then maybe you can just cover your hair with a warm towel, although this method isn't as effective as using a bonnet or hooded dryer.
aww....thank you :) I use the World of Curls as a moisturiser and the week before I relax my hair, I continue to use the same moisturisers; World of curls and Organics Shea Butter and Tea Tree moisturiser. Good luck!
Hi I have long hair like yourself. From 16 years old I did all sorts of nonsense to my hair, cutting fringes, having layers, dyeing it, I was a hairdressers dream. It ended up with my hair being cut into a bob as it was so damaged. For the past two years my hair has grown back to how it was 18 years ago. I have been maintaining my hair at the salon and I only stick to my stylist and the only other person I trust with my hair is my mum or myself. I will continue as I have run out of space.
Yes I relaxed my hair throughout my pregnancy. I air-dry the majority of the time and only blow dry (twice) every 2 months. Air-drying is best. Less heat the better. I got the curls using Bendy rollers and left them in over night. I prefer them to rollers. Good luck :)
Thanks for posting, I'm a believer and a subscriber! All of your videos are inspiring! I am starting a hair journey of my own using your regime. I'm trying to get similar products but a little scared I might be getting the wrong stuff. For example you use world of curls spray as a moisturizer or to give you the wet look when you do you ponytail protective style? After blow drying your hair a week before a relaxer, what products do you use until the relaxer?
I'm back, I have a few questions for you..... I am 19 weeks pregnant and have relaxed my hair once so far so good. Did you relax your hair throughout your pregnancy? I noticed that you do a mixture of air drying and blow drying which is better and how often do you blowdry? How did you get those lovely loose curls that I saw you with at the Afro Hair and Beauty Show? I too will continue to keep it simple so it keeps on being healthy, no more dyeing (unless I go grey tho) and no more braids. x
@keedaomen By the way, I'm not sure if you've seen my 'My Top 10 Hair Growth Tips video (Part one & two), but I show the products I use on my hair there. I have used Apoghee in the past, but haven't used it in a long time now.
I only blow dry once a month. With the moisture and protein balance, you apply protein one week and moisture the other week. Some people apply both at the same time, but I prefer to do it separately.
+Healthy Afro Hair Hi, your vids are very inspiring. If you only blow dry once every 3 months, what do you do the other times you wash your hair? Roller set?
How often do you blow dry your hair? Also I don't understand the protein moisturizing balance concept. Do you mix two separate products one that's protein and one that's moisturizing? Or use protein one week and moisture next week?
Hi please reply im a complete noob, and idk whether to go to salon or try this myself my hair has only been pressed or straightened, im scared to do this relaxer process. The organic shea product seems to be discontinued what do you now use - if it's not where do you get it from? I'm from the UK. Thanks in advance, Tish
Are you talking about blow drying your hair yourself? Or relaxing it? If you've never done either before and your unsure of what to do, then it's always best to have someone you can trust (and who knows what they're doing), to do it for you. I use the Cantu Shea Butter Moisturiser.
Haha blow drying!! Nah I meant relaxing, im so reluctant to do it everyone keeps telling me not to because loads of people have done it and their hair is pretty crap now. And yeah I've been wanting to do it for years just never really had the courage/time. And thanks for the moisturiser :)
Girl you and I are going in the opposite direction. I have NEVER had a relaxer before. I am 30 years old with virgin hair. I've decided to relax my hair and I'm watching your old videos for research. Wish me luck!
how long did it take you to grow your hair out that long? where was it before?how much did your hair grow averagely each month? how much hair did you lose? lot of questions but yea very curious
I have to agree with HeathyAfroHair. While it is prefered not to comb or brush hair while it is wet, thicker hair can be hard to detangle without combing but a wide tooth comb and combing up from the roots help prevent breakage in the way that she is doing it. Also, for those who might think that finger combing is a good alternative; it does not alway an affective way to get all the detangling done either.
Hi! I would like to know; after relaxing my hair; can I air dry it or should this be the one time when I use heat and bow dry and flat iron it? I'm really trying to stay away from heat. Thank you.
Thank you! I just recently did a video on my hair growth regime, so have a look if you haven't already done so. I also have a number of videos showing how I maintain my hair and the methods I use for washing, conditioning, air drying etc. If you start from the; 'How I wash my hair video' and then watch the rest (in order) you will find full details on exactly what I do.
Your hair is so nice, Can you put a video up of how you've grown it x And to make it less notty, Comb it whilst it's conditioning, or justbefore you put the clingfilm onto your hair x
@JNaritchie Thank you very much. Yes some say it's not good to relax while pregnant because of the chemicals contained within the relaxer which could may penetrate into the body and become harmful to the baby. But then on the other hand, you hear that it's ok if not done too often. But thanks for your concern :)
do you use Organic Root Stimulator No-Lye Hair Relaxer Kit, Olive Oil, Normal or Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Relaxer, Extra Strength - 8 piece kit for hair that is not natural
It took me 3 years and 8 months to grow it. Have you seen; 'My Hair Growth Journey video'? If not, take a look. It shows where I started out and how long it took me. My hair grows just over 1/2 an inch per month and I haven't really lost much.
@keedaomen Thank you :) Yeah these tips are very simple and anyone can do it. I think the hardest part for most people is consistency. Yes I sleep with a silk satin head scarf. I'll try and see if I can do a video on my daily and nightly regimes.
I wear protective hairstyles 90% of the time, so it's only straighten/flat iron on relaxer days (or sometimes on special occassions), making it a lot easier to manage. The rest of the time it's tucked away, so I don't have to worry about it staying straight so much.
@healthyafrohair, *thanks Jesus Christ on bare knees for finding this channel* im so happy i found you! Also wanted to know, after conditioning, u just washed it with water without shampooing or? Thanks
If you're detangling your hair when wet, it's best to use a detangling hair spray. Mane n Tail have a really good one. It's called the Knots & Tangles Solution. However, if you can't get access to that, then use a Leave in conditioner and apply the hair moisturiser when you hair is slighter dry, rather than wet.
@socute64 Our hair does grow, we just need to apply the correct hair care methods. If you give it a go and consistently keep going, you may be surprised.
Thanks for the videos they are very helpful and informative :-). I just started my hair care Journey. Now that I'm pregnant I want to take advantage of the fast hair growth lol. I see that you're expecting too congratulations! :-D
I cowash my hair every sunday and I shampoo it every 2 or 3 weeks. After, I always deep condition for 45 minutes, air dry, moisturize, detangle, seal and bun the hair. I try to remoisturize every 2 days between wash days.
Yes, I was pregnant at the time. Have a look at my video; Pregnancy & Hair Growth, as I answer some questions about relaxing hair during pregnancy; ruclips.net/video/3Dn2aUj7kvU/видео.html
if you try and avoid combing or brushing your hair while wet, it'll help prevent any snapping or breaking cuz hair is weaker when wet and it'll grow even quicker :)
I can answer that question 4 u JNaritchie. The reason why is because the chemical that are in your hair also go into your body and can affect the pregnancy especially when the body's own chemical are not the same during pregnancy; everything that goes into the body during pregnancy will also go into the unborn baby's body.
Did you wash the relaxer out properly? How is your hair now?
Do you live in the UK? because all prices are based in Pound sterling!
Thank you and your welcome! Just get started on your journey and continue going! Good luck!
Yes I flat iron my hair once every 2 months. Oils are not moisturisers, but can be used to seal moisture into the hair.
It's entirely up to you. I always use heat mainly for length checking on relaxer days, but other than that, I air dry my hair.
aww....thank you :) I use the World of Curls as a moisturiser and the week before I relax my hair, I continue to use the same moisturisers; World of curls and Organics Shea Butter and Tea Tree moisturiser. Good luck!

awww....! :) That's correct. I shampoo my hair at the start, so there's no need to re-shampoo after conditioning.
It's impossible for me not to comb it when wet, otherwise when I blow dry my hair, it will be full of tangles. So I need to detangle beforehand.
Hi thanks for your videos they r so simple to follow , my question is I don't have a Byblos hair dry what do I do?
Yes I relaxed my hair throughout my pregnancy. I air-dry the majority of the time and only blow dry (twice) every 2 months. Air-drying is best. Less heat the better. I got the curls using Bendy rollers and left them in over night. I prefer them to rollers. Good luck :)

love how you got all these segments lol I'm following you girl...because I wanna know what's next

I love how simple ur regime is. Simple and efficient :) Thank u 4 the videos
I'm back, I have a few questions for you.....

I don't care for the hair tutorial,i just like listening to your accent, love it.is that bad?
+TheTails63 No problem, thanks 😄
would you please put a reference of the products that you use thank you it's really helpful
I see your expecting. Congratulations! Your method before blow drying is very good, thanks for showing it.
Hi, yes, I always apply heat protectants before blow drying or flat ironing my hair.
Hi! This was very useful, thank you so much! But I'm just wondering ... How many times a week do you wash and blow dry your hair?
Hey you're welcome, glad you liked it. I wash weekly and only blow dry once every 3 months and sometimes on special occasions.
+Healthy Afro Hair Hi, your vids are very inspiring. If you only blow dry once every 3 months, what do you do the other times you wash your hair? Roller set?

When you don't comb your hair on the regular basis ...won't it get maddened ? Plz respond
Girl you and I are going in the opposite direction. I have NEVER had a relaxer before. I am 30 years old with virgin hair. I've decided to relax my hair and I'm watching your old videos for research. Wish me luck!
Ahh! I hope my videos have been useful! Good luck, not like you need it ☺️
how long did it take you to grow your hair out that long? where was it before?how much did your hair grow averagely each month? how much hair did you lose? lot of questions but yea very curious
Yay, another Brit with relaxed hair on YT, I'm now subbing, thanx 4 the vids, v informative.

From a shop that sells hair products for black women. You can also purchase them online.
Thank you! I just recently did a video on my hair growth regime, so have a look if you haven't already done so. Even though I'm natural....I still love ur hair!!! Its very pretty :)
Awww...thank you :)
Do you flat iron your hair? & would you recommend grapeseed oil as a moisturizer?(:
Your hair is so nice, Can you put a video up of how you've grown it x
And to make it less notty, Comb it whilst it's conditioning, or justbefore you put the
clingfilm onto your hair x

Congrats on the little one. I am a recent subscriber and I didnt notice until now.
hi thanks so much for the vids, do you use vitamins as well?
You're welcome. I was taking biotin & zinc, but stopped once I fell pregnant with my 2nd child.
do you use Organic Root Stimulator No-Lye Hair Relaxer Kit, Olive Oil, Normal or
Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Relaxer, Extra Strength - 8 piece kit for hair that is not natural
+Kisten Williams I was using the first one.
so you use Organic Root Stimulator No-Lye Hair Relaxer Kit, Olive Oil, Normal
+Kisten Williams That's correct. But I'm transitioning now, so no longer relaxing my hair.
oh because i wash my hair regularly it feels dry like a paper balled up it just dont feel soft so what do you use to wash your hair
u motivate me i have trying to go on a hair journey but am like whats the point it will never grow but u motivate me
I actually had my baby in Feb! ;)
It took me 3 years and 8 months to grow it. Have you seen; 'My Hair Growth Journey video'? If not, take a look. It shows where I started out and how long it took me. My hair grows just over 1/2 an inch per month and I haven't really lost much.
that part has been there for a while did you always have a part or did you comb it that way?
Because I had previously sectioned my hair and parted it down the middle, the parting naturally stays that way. So yes, I parted it.
is it okay to air dry after washing the conditioner at cause I don't really use heat
Yes, that's fine. I tend to air dry most of the time now and it's healthier for the hair.
what do you do when hair sheds?
ooooooh congrads on the baby. no wonder your skin is so pretty. have that baby on my bday FEB 5,
@keedaomen Thank you :) Yeah these tips are very simple and anyone can do it. I think the hardest part for most people is consistency. Yes I sleep with a silk satin head scarf. I'll try and see if I can do a video on my daily and nightly regimes.
@IndianNaturalCurly awww....thank you and thanks for subscribing! :)
I was at the time. My son is almost 10 months old now.
How do you keep you hair straight if you only flat iron it once every two months? I really struggle with this during winter, my hair frizzes up!
Thanks
It is easier to comb wet hair after relaxing it but when you stretch your relaxer it is easier to comb your hair in the shower after the conditioner
How do u make ur hair grow longer
Love your voice 😊nice video thanks for sharing
Thank you 😊 and you're welcome!
Just wondering will your book be available in the US?
I know this is 2years ago but after detangling the hair out is it also okay to use ethier tea tree oil of olive oil hair lotion?
Are these products hair oils? or hair moisturisers?
Healthy Afro Hair the olive oil hair lotion is moisturisers and the tee tree oil is the hair oils
If you give it a go and consistently keep going, you may be surprised.
are you still on hear I've not seen you since this video, how old is your baby now at lease two. I love all of you videos.
+Lillian Herbert Thanks! My son is 5 years old now 😀
wow! i'm looking forward to seeing your new hair journey, I could never go natural.Good luck
Hey,,! You know with all your products; could you include the price? So for me..I can know if it is reasonable for me to get :) Nice video's btw
@MsJude49 Yes, it will be available in the US.
Every week!
What protein and moisture do you use one and then the next?
Did you wash the conditioner out
can you use argan oil leave in conditioner spray instead of the polisher?
Yes, you can use any preferred leave in conditioner of your choice.
Thank you and I will do.
Thanks for the videos they are very helpful and informative :-). I just started my hair care Journey. Now that I'm pregnant I want to take advantage of the fast hair growth lol. I see that you're expecting too congratulations! :-D
hey I don't have afro hair, but i love to see your videos, its really good !!! oxoxoxoxo
I try to start combing from the ends and work my way up, but the comb still has lots of hair in it
What is your current hair regime?
I cowash my hair every sunday and I shampoo it every 2 or 3 weeks. After, I always deep condition for 45 minutes, air dry, moisturize, detangle, seal and bun the hair. I try to remoisturize every 2 days between wash days.
Sounds like a good hair regime. Have you noticed any benefits?
@itskena awww....thank you :) I'm due in Feb.
@TwistyPeggy Your welcome and thanks for subbing!
Do you use hair dyes? Is it safe?
No, I don't use hair dyes, but yes they are safe to use. However, the correct before and aftercare is vital, to prevent damage.
what if i don't have a dryer for the conditioning?
shes pregnant... is it safe to relax your hair?
Yes, I was pregnant at the time. Have a look at my video; Pregnancy & Hair Growth, as I answer some questions about relaxing hair during pregnancy; ruclips.net/video/3Dn2aUj7kvU/видео.html
if you try and avoid combing or brushing your hair while wet, it'll help prevent any snapping or breaking cuz hair is weaker when wet and it'll grow even quicker :)
You have such lovely long hair, I want mine to grow to that length one day
Thank you! I'm sure it's achievable. You just need to follow a strict and thorough hair care regime.
is your hair naturally parted in the middle? :D
@sinnet12345 I've just finished doing a video which will be posted shortly.
Thank you.
@tamoniva12 Yes I am expecting my 1st child :) Thank you very much for your message and your welcome.
awww...thanks sooo much! :)
You have excellent bone structure.
I learnt from this video well done , wish u all the best with your pregnancy x
Great to hear and thank you 😊
Thanks and keep inspiring x
@Joce61586 You are welcome :) Thanks and congrats to you too!
@LANDIZA1 Thank you and your welcome! :)
Thank you :)
@tonijenkins2 Yes I did.
can u do a video baout baggin method please!!??
I can answer that question 4 u JNaritchie. The reason why is because the chemical that are in your hair also go into your body and can affect the pregnancy especially when the body's own chemical are not the same during pregnancy; everything that goes into the body during pregnancy will also go into the unborn baby's body.
awww....thanks a lot! ;)
I just now noticed she's pregnant, in this video
@ChazzmyneBadassbyrd Thanks
@Kimsalley21 Thank you. Your birthday is 2 days before mine :)
Just seen this message :)
most hair dressers Dont tease the hair when combing they jus comb straight down
+Jody-Ann Marriott I tease my hair to prevent breakage, as combing straight down, can tear it out, especially if there's knots & tangles.
love it.
Thank you :)
@missindependent610 Yes I am pregnant! :)
