He was forced to leave because he had hip surgery and couldn't wrestle anymore on a regular basis so they wanted to negotiate a contract based on him doing legends appearances now and again but he wanted more money. TK was willing to pay him what WWE used to pay him to do nothing so he went there, let's not pretend it was anything other than money. He wasn't worried about his promos or creative ideas because he knew after hip replacement he was done as far as major in ring runs.

In an ideal world, it would have been a spectacle if we could have had both in the ring at the same time and they would not even have to wrestle each other. Each of them had a very unique story. "Storylines" for a third string commentator/announcer who hasn't wrestled in almost 18 months? Tony Khan can't even book anything that makes sense for the people who are in the ring every week. He's had a combined 11m19s in the ring, over a total of four matches in AEW, so far. Three in '21, one in early '22. He's done as an in-ring performer.
His bump card was full long before he left WWE. He's 51 years old and has artificial joints. Do people want to see him die with wrestling boots on? Enough already!

The question was why? He had the next Andre the giant but more agile and symmetric. I just can guess that he is a yes sir kind of guy and Andre wasn’t. "LET'S WATCH A SPECIAL EFFECTS LADEN SERIALIZED MOVIE FRANCHISE WITH PEOPLE PRETENDING TO BE FROM SOME OTHER DYSTOPIAN REALITY SET IN SPACE WITH OVERTONES OF INCEST BETWEEN 2 OF THE MAIN CHARACTERS."
Or do you just say, let's watch Star Wars tonight? lol
Everyone knows what you mean when you say wrestling while talking about these videos because that's the reality they're meant to represent. Try just being a guy for a minute or two a day. lol
Let me guess, you're one of those people that feels the need to correct people's grammar constantly just to feel better about yourself, too, right? lol@@JohnDaubSuperfan369
And to be perfectly honest, I bet he was MUCH MORE effective at wrestling than most guys in the locker room because of exactly who he was. Try taking him down or try getting out of a hold if he actually shoots on you with a real wrestling move. In a real wrestling match you only have so much mat area to survive against this guy and his size and power is gonna get you. Try putting a hold on him and letting him get those giant mitts on you. lol THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU'RE SAYING BEFORE YOU TRY BEING SUCH A SMARTAZZ IN THE FUTURE. lol
Cuz "YOURE" comment was wrong on every level once you do think about it.

Big Show is another classic example of how Mr. McMahon overlooks potential and lets its splinter away instead of giving it the environment to flourish. In the Attitude Era, Big Show would have been an excellent addition to the top tier performers of Austin, Rock, HHH, Taker, Foley, Michaels, Angle, Jericho etc. He obviously had the size, he was good on the mic and would have gotten better had he been given the time to develop, and he could wrestle in the ring as well. It just seems like once McMahon has an image of you, he will almost never change it. After the Attitude Era, I think of guys like Ziggler, Rusev, etc who had everything you needed to become a top performer but we're never properly developed.

When they first signed him he was put on a massive long deal. What did he do? Turn up out of shape and then lacked motivation and fitness for recurrent spells throughout what should have been his prime years.

His body, his hips to his ankles, look bad and nobody wants to see someone as genuine and kind as White get hurt unnecessarily. This man doesn't have a damn thing left to prove to anyone. I like White in AEW because it gives him a chance to work with big guys like Lance Archer or Big Bill. Maybe even help a monster like Brian Cage, Rush or Keith Lee. White is hella entertaining, put him on a mic backstage interviewing the guys, asking the real questions or at the desk delivering his expertise when the big guys fight. Big show was done in WWE. It was clear in his performances that he didn't have it in him anymore and didn't give his all. That's why people kept chanting "please retire". It was just a cringe display and needed to end. Big show has a lot to complain about over how his career went, and the truth is, it's all his own fault. He could have been more, much more, but it's him that never pushed to be more. Just look at how even Cena was disappointed in him not working on his physique. And only then did Show react and that was way too late in his career. Big show used his size as a crudge, and that was his fatal flaw.

Now that he is in aew.its fresh new matches and an opportunity for him to teach this to talent not ruined by the wwe machine.

i thought big show had to quit because he wasn't "performing" with guys like Edge and his high acrobatics off the top ropes, summersaults, 360s.
plus big show's signature move was too much like kane's move which was also the choke slam

The reality is Big Show contract was higher then his worth as he is pass his prime. AEW is willing to overpay so WWE let him go. This is a win for both WWE & Paul, but not sure about AEW.

The Big Show was a great in ring performer and will go down as one of the best no doubt.
