I hit 93 miles on the odometer today, it’s a great bike overall I don’t have a talaria or surron to compare it to but its always able to take me where I need to go and back, with still enough battery to ride around more. I usually just be cruisin on it but if you want that power it’s Lowkey got it. We will have to see what type of parts they come out with for the bike in the next year or so.
@@nbcursed1552 yeah! I think too many people hyper focus on the few reviews who got less than 30 miles per charge on sport. Well to be fair it’s probably not that useful anyway, just minor adjustments that would be hard go notice. But they definitely should email customers and tell them not to use it rather than just putting a little notice on the product page.

Hey Pat, I have been looking into getting a RAWRR Mantis X or another kind of e moto for a while now, however I'm not sure how I can maintain it. I don't know whether I need oil or to change chains, so if you could give me a few pointers that would be much help. Thanks.
The mantis X requires the gearbox fluid to be changed every 500-600 miles. Very low maintenance otherwise, adjusting chain slack every couple rides, full bolt checks on the suspension and brake components every few months, swapping out brake pads periodically (depending how aggressively you ride), changing brake fluid every other year.. very similar maintenance to a regular mountain bike besides the addition of brake fluid. My Talaria XXX or Surron - I just have to check the belt tension to the motor every few months.
hi! what would you recommend the mantis X or the XXX? i’m in the market for a ebike for around that price and I want to know which one i should purchase
The XXX is better suited for street riding and has a slightly lower seat height, has more options for aftermarket modifications (as of this time.) The Mantis X is just a bit faster, more capable off-road, cheaper, more comfortable suspension, but has limited options for upgrades (for now.) It’s hard to answer that question without knowing what you (specifically) are planning on using the bike for.
@@PatOutdoors I’m mostly using the bike for street riding but maybe i’ll do a little light off roading on a trail but I could always get hybrid tires for the xxx
