My 2 favs were omitted. FART - fabric acquisition road trip ( usually includes quilty friends and a lunch out ), SABLE -Stash Acquired Beyond Life Expectancy. I'm so guilty of this one. 😂
I limited the list to 20 - and tried to include those that would be most often listed in a pattern that could be confusing to new quilters. Thanks for watching!
When I took my first quilting class in 2018, the instructor did not explain any of these and I have had to learn along the way. This video would be a super introduction for beginner quilters. Very clear examples of each quilting code. A must see!
Thank you so much! That was my intention - it really is difficult when we approach a pattern without understanding all of the "code words". Thank you for watching!
This is great information, Mary, especially for newer quilters. However, some of us who have been quilting for a while, can learn from this too as the acronyms seem to keep multiplying. A healthy and happy 2024 to all!
Thank you Mary! So very helpful! I knew a couple of them. Pray you and yours have a wonderful, blessed, healthy New Year! Looking forward to al you have for us!
I have collected the severe cold or upper respiratory virus going through all my family….. so I do recognize some of them but this severe headache and just broke my fever. Maybe when I am better I need to read this again. lol I tried this morning when I was still awake and just couldn’t grasp all the letters. 😂😂😂😂
I absolutely hate acronyms. It’s like a secret code for only those who know it. There are ALWAYS beginners with any craft. Just share knowledge without all the secret language.
Easier said than done, Vanessa. The acronyms are already well-established in the quilting world. My purpose was to explain them to any quilters who aren't familiar with them.
