@@ravine8845 I have sliding doors. They don't need to go into the walls. There are twin parallel runner tracks in the floor. Left door slides on one runner and the right door runs on the other runner. When you open one door, it slides to the other side either to the front of or the back of the other door. Yes basically, you can only have one side open at a time.
Firstly this design didn't save any space. Secondly, using sliding doors for wardrobes prevents moisture and dust from getting into clothes. Curtains are a cheaper option, yes. Lastly, the platform construction is expensive and is of no real benefit, infact more inconvenient. It may look a bit stylish but totally without any function though. Lastly, the side table, on the left of the bed, could easily be converted into a make up mirror with table hence there is absolutely no need to spend more on a separate one!
It has a light underneath it. I assume you would turn it on when you got up. But I agree it's not needed unless they used it to put drawers in it or something.
Aren't beds supposed be slept in? I'm not trying to be rude, but that's honestly what most people I know use their beds for. Come to think of it, I've only seen two beds with things stored underneath them my entire life. Though I guess it does make sense in smaller bedrooms.
I don’t prefer this option. Mirrors should be kept minimal in our personal and private rooms as they will make us self-conscious and depressed. It’s scary to be looking at oneself all the time and seeing every move.
I would also use mirror doors. Personally I prefer having a full body mirror to be able to look at myself and decide what looks good before I leave the house..
@@EveryonesADude The doors are still better ... The curtains are fine, if washed 1x / week, to avoid dust mites, and worse sometimes, insects. That all professional interventions fail, because these larvae are hiding everywhere, eating everything, wood and textiles, cellulose ... And all the money spent. ... In the end, almost nothing works, except buying a new house, because of all the natural treatments or pesticides that trigger allergies, asthma...😔
Bifold doors are the best in this situation. Curtains look tacky, aren’t good for insulation, and just annoying to open and close. Bifold gives you several surfacing to use for flat decor, mirrors, or a storage rack on the outer door
The bedroom is a good size already, so space doesn’t really need to be utilized. The only thing I would say is the closet is quite small, I would’ve liked to see something bigger or perhaps a side dresser somewhere in the room
Hmm...it looks OK until you start to look at the practicality of it..1) Wire racks? That actually cheapens any space that you may have given the fact that they are very cheap and not as durable as wooden shelves. I know this because I've lived in apartments with the same wire racks..you put too much weight on them and they will break. 2) if you had more space to begin with you wouldn't need to add a wardrobe closet, space for a desk and a sitting bench 3) Having the bed elevated like that is an accident waiting to happen. Imagine going to the bathroom or being woke up in the middle of the night and you trip because you forgot that your bed is elevated..
I like that you can get to both sides of the bed. But why that little platform that I'm gonna trip on when I go to the bathroom in the middle of the night? It doesn't save any space. And if I'm lucky enough to not fall I'm gonna at least stub my toes
When I see raised floors I think of all those midnight toe stubbings after you come back from the bathroom. Also you lose all that space because under bed storage is a good thing.
When your old, having to get up with your knees are a pain so the bed next to the floor is a no no and not good if there is a draft come winter time. A bed should be setting right below your crotch. You want to be able to get out the bed 🛌 without help of anyone and/or devices. Once getting out of the bed you don't want any steps like that low platform to cause tripping. You having to remember to step 🚶♀️ up or down is very inconvenient for your body and mind. Worrying about not tripping to get in or out of bed is a no no for what your bedroom represents relaxation. That platform robes you of that.
I don't know if I'm crazy about the closet curtains, but I do like the masculinity of the rest of the room. It looks versatile, and maybe great for a high end hotel
The platform under the bed adds little value besides aesthetics and perhaps a little edge to sit on. It actually takes space away from the room and creates a barrier.
In Florida, good luck trying to find a handyman or carpenter period. To find one that will build that platform for less than a fortune is impossible. And you do the animation so fast that one doesn’t get to fully appreciate how much money you have spent on custom made furniture which just isn’t by possible except for painfully high amounts of money. It took 3 years of searching for a carpenter and over $7,800 to have water damage to my closet replaced with a whole new closet almost exactly like the one before. And I feel so grateful that someone was finally recommended to me by a chance encounter. You have to take into account living in the real world.
I mean, you can literally fit the closet, the window nook and the dresser all in the exact same areas even without the elevated platform. Am I missing something 'cause I just don't see how the platform adds any value (especially in space saving) except maybe aesthetically.
Doesn't saving space means the entire bed would be above the study area, and there'd be seating/entertainment area in the middle, and/or even kitchenette or mini bar at the corner of the room? The empty space above the bed is totally usable.
I feel like door should of been used as well as the bed staying though it is nice those can get uncomfortable oh and the bed by the window could of been a really cool cubby space
Remember to maintain the beauty of your wooden design by using a moisture absorber. It's a simple yet effective way to protect your furniture and keep it looking the best.
I would use a storage ottoman and use the window seat into storage as well, with sliding compartments. If I were to use curtains, I could add a pop of color to the room.
In the USA, spaces like that usually have sliding doors, or folding doors, from the ceiling to the floor. It's standard and expected, when renting a place or buying a home
The only good thing is the window seat. Table is better than empty corner but does not have any storage for cosmetics, curtains and the platform are plainly a change for the worse.
As someone who put a platform in her bedroom, DON’T!!! It’s a headache and costs $ to remove when you need to remodel in future because the platform interferes with rearrangement of furniture.
It's nice designed but with some innovation...dnt like bed steps can b minus...as stepping is issue fr us fr zadu pocha...rest doors in wardrobe. It can also b made without step up bed with same designs.
What's the point of the platform if not including drawers under? And, a "normal" (tall) dresser would provide much more storage than those low, single drawers along and under the window.
And those drawers could then be much deeper without the useless platform under them. I just don't understand the platform? It doesn't help in any way. The mattress is literally on the floor. Yuck. And I really want to know where space was saved lol
