    It's important when learning Pilates to ensure you get the right technique and move through the exercises slowly and with control.
    Stay persistent and over time you will develop a greater body and mind awareness for this unique exercise that will help you tone and strengthen muscles and create that lean look.
    Ensure you breathe fully and allow yourself to practice at least 3 days a week for maximum improvement and to feel the positive effects this workout will bring.

    I came back to this today after a month of following your advice to do five Pilates sessions a week, and it was almost TOO easy, so I must have made some progress! Apart from the mermaid stretch and the sitting back on your feet - my body just doesn't work that way, it seems - but everything else made me think, "Finally, I'm ready!"

I'll need to step it up a notch now 😉 Try the Intermediate and Advanced videos in the Pilates playlist and let me know if you feel a difference in challenge. So proud of you!! You are an excellent example of discipline and being open minded to learn and conquer something not easy at first. Yes you are right also with some poses there may always be a certain limitation so so not worry just so what you can with those.       @@Vanessabhealthtv Thank you! I've tried a couple of the Pilates videos and I'm inspired to commit to doing it regularly- mostly trying to build core strength and stronger shoulders and back. I am a pianist, and I have often heard about the need to be stable in the core and to have all movement flow from there.

    Thanks, that was a lot clearer and easier to follow. My only complete fails were the mermaid stretch - I just couldn't even get into the beginning position either with my legs or spine - and that one where you sat back on your heels and stretched your arms out to the side. Up until then, I was thinking, "I've got this,bi CAN go on to intermediate!".

    I’m sure this is an excellent video for people who have never ever ever ever done Pilates, but unless you want 10 minutes of explanation for every one second of exercise, skip it!
