I met Richard a few years ago, he is by far one of the best people to interview on the music scene. He knows how to spin an amazing yarn and not take himself too seriously. He's also aged incredibly well!

First reaction was "Holy shit the guy from Filter's funny and endearing". And then it occurred to me how I miss those crazy interviews in the 90's with rock bands. Now it's either pop or hip hop.

His voice is beautiful. I'm not always the biggest fan of rock vocals but his is bloody sweet.
I went to a small concert in Michigan Filter put on and I was in the front row. Richard was at the edge of the stage singing I reached my hand up and he held it.💕 Will never forget it. It was a great concert.
The fact that his brother is the T-1000 makes a lot of sense.
Filter was sort of a underground band but I really enjoyed their music. So unique and progressive.

I think he might suffer from anxiety, especially interviewing people that are a big deal to him i get it. I've dealt with it all my life and when you're feeling that it is really, really hard to put it aside and fake a smile. I think Richard picked up on that. Being an addict/alcoholic typically means you suffer with mental issues. He probably understands better than most.

I took one of my previous girlfriends to see Filter in a small, underground bar in Redondo Beach, CA about seven years ago. The tickets were about 20 bucks. Richard Patrick was pretty crazy ranting about his voice and doctor or dentist or something; I could have sworn he was sloshed. I guess he's been clean for a while, just has a lot of energy and eccentricities.
Sure was an awesome show, though. I'd love to see Filter again. I have all their albums and Army of Anyone's.

I SOoo ❤ Richard’s fun personality. I would love hanging w/ him. And he’s not about the fame & fortune but enjoying the music & the enjoyment he gives his fans. He performed at The Scout Bar in Houston for the price I pay for two pizzas. And he has to pay his band & travel expenses (!) so that intimate concert was a GIFT - unlike other artists who charge $100s for a seat in the outfield/peanut gallery. Richard is the real deal, candidly owns his past which encourages others that there truly IS a way out if you’re committed. (Respect) He’s just an all around terrific guy, besides being a talented artist.
