Don't get me wrong. I'm a fan of Jello Biafra but it's funny to see such a clash of style and age. He's got his shirt neatly tucked in and if you compare this video to old DK footage, his movements (dance?) are exactly the same.
Somehow this is better than if he performed with the Kennedys. Heres why. He doesnt want to ressurect the Kennedys. Hes only do that performance to raise awareness for the charity groups they are donating money to. Hes doing it for the people who need help the most. Not for his wallet. Thats pretty noble.

I don't think they really suck, but they have really changed style. I do prefer their first three albums above the latest five albums, even though Americana would come in at a strong fourth place after Smash, Ignition, and the self-titled debut.

Nah I'm pretty sure that was in' flack. And I can justify by citing the man himself. "[They are not] marketing the Dead Kennedys in the spirit of what the band stood for." It's not his fault some label tries to slap the rock icon onto a shirt resell it for a coupla bucks. He might be a sellout now, but again, it was the band that matters, the band that did things. He was a god with the band.

There is no such thing as selling out. You make choices. If you charge people to see you play or for your cd (record), you are selling out to some degree. Either give it away, or charge people for it. If the artists wants to be heard, somebody's gonna pay. Creativity cost money. Its just a matter of degree.
