While UT2004 did include most of UT2003's assets (bringing back this track and the 2 maps it was used on), none of the new UT2004 maps used this track (or for that matter, pretty much the whole UT2003 ost). But no one talks about UT2003 anymore, so... Such a criminally underrated track.
Three, actually: CTF-Chrome, Phobos2 and DOM-ScorchedEarth. Quite ironic that a song called "Chemical Burn" isn't featured in any map featuring acid or (any other corrosive) pool.
Necto Ulin! You changed my life. I have just won top level tournament in my favourite board game. Thank you for rekindeling the emotion, dedication and adrenaline from days when I played UT & UT2004. Your versions were played in my headphones (and in my head as well) very often. While intro pumped me up, just before every game. "Your strength and brutality are legendary. Unreal Tournament 2003 and 2004's "Chemical Burn" was an interesting track. However, it was not my cup of tea when I first heard it. As you mastered and engineered this remix, your touches and extension to the track made it a worthy listen. I'd argue that your version of Chemical Burn now feels much more powerful, even the rather short snippets of guitar work made it strong! Can't wait to hear more of your Unreal grooves, as a long time fan of your work! I can't wait even more for your take on one of my favorite tracks from the game, Rankin!
When I was much younger, I really wasn't a huge fan of Chemical Burn. Nowadays, I absolutely adore it. Probably one of THE definitive tracks of UT2004. Hearing this remix is just absolutely fuckin' amazing. Outstanding work, man.

Necto still cooking in 2024 Damn I forgot that ost, it's being slept on so much, even by me, so I'm guilty too ... Even tho it may be the first one I've been accustomed to with UT2003. This one feels similar to the OG track but also has much better effects, all those effects that I thought were subtle in game are just so much better in here. Basically at this point it feels like a superior version, not just a remix. Huge work as always, Necto never miss 😎
Fantastic remix. If I have but one complaint, it is that when the main "melody" kicks in, it is a bit drowned out by all the background elements you have enhanced and buffed up otherwise. If you can find a way to make it hit that much harder when the main tune drops in, it will be more reminiscent of the original's feel.

Thank You much for Your interest! For this particular track I didn't use any original sounds at all, everything was picked\tweaked from similar instruments (the hardest part 1:14-1:24). I'll share "making of" video if I'll manage it till NY.
