    Had to go look up who was that grey. Turns out he won the overall liberty Championship. Maddox Van Ryad (stallion). Got a perfect score of 50 from each of the 3 judges. His champ run is on Vimeo.
    He seems to be as a stud at Gemini Acres Arabians.

    I think the Grey is just more showy. Depending on the Pedigree, arab's tail set's vary.

    beauty horses!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @victoriasheffield7137
    @victoriasheffield7137 11 лет назад +2

    Why do they shave the first horse's eyelids?! It looks quite stupid if you ask me...I think it's supposed to make their eyes stand out, but it doesn't work from a distance like this, because the horse's eyes are almost as dark as its skin.

    • @ashleyfoster9370
      @ashleyfoster9370 10 лет назад +1

      Shaving the eyes is pretty standard in the Arabian show ring. Arabians typically have large eyes that 'pop' out, and this enhances it. While it may not do a whole lot for liberty horses, keep in mind that most horses in liberty also show under saddle or in halter classes, where this would really be more important.

    • @lauriesain7466
      @lauriesain7466 6 лет назад +1

      Because natural beauty no longer makes it in the Arabian show ring. Which makes the horses look ridiculous. They can't help it: it's the owners doing it for a ribbon.

    Lets see...No chest. Both front legs come out the same hole. No well sprung ribcage the cation was high and poppy but not at all floaty or long strided which an Arabian stride is supposed to be. Tell me this isn't what happened to my beloved Arabian. Skinny chicken legged things. Any body remember Fadjur? Bask? Khemosabi? None of them are skinny side slabbed Arabians.

    • @gwenmartinsen3979

      I'm totally in love with Fadjur. Wish I could have known him!

      I remember. *Bask was the example of what an Arab was supposed to be. Lasma Arabians, Gene Lacroix. What a time. *Khemosabi another beautiful bay. *Cometego.

    Well yeah, and so is the next horse. Look at the difference between the first two horses. The second one just looks more natural then the first, it looks like they maybe did something to keep the tail up so awkwardly like that.

      Cody fidler.you obviously don't know Arabs.The 1st one was an amazing show horse.The 2nd was way too calm,they are supposed to have way more energy in the arena,like the 1st.

    • @lauriesain7466
      @lauriesain7466 6 лет назад +1

      Actually, the first one had ginger put in his anus to keep his tail up.

  • @efan4ever

    They greys tail was gingered. His ass end hurt probably what caused him to have a shortened stride. The bay didn't look conditioned however the movement wasn't near as stilted.

      I can't believe these are the best of the current Arab population. Their confirmations are mediocre at best, they don't really seem very energetic, and I wouldn't take any of them as a gift.

    Boing, boing, boing. What happened to the classic Arabian extended trot??? Our roping horse can move better while hobbled if she really feels like it.

    • @vangogham209
      @vangogham209 6 лет назад

      Danee Rudy I agree, for the first one. My liberty horse, also for halter class, had an amazing extended trot

    • @marysutherland8236
      @marysutherland8236 6 лет назад

      The trot you are referring to is called a daisy cutter trot.

    • @marysutherland8236

      Hobbling horses is so outdated and horrible accidents resulted from hobbles.

  • @РегинаНемцова

    Dislike. Horses are awesome but music spoils everything. Arabian tunes would be much more appropriate.
