Digging deeper into the categories of your working food pantry will keep you organized, stocked, and aware of your usage. I can think of even more ways to categorize your pantry like lunch, breakfast, snacks, etc. It's up to you to determine what works best for your pantry. I hope this has helped spark that journey. Thanks for watching!

One more group? Cleaning and Hygiene. Cleaning would be broken down into: Kitchen, Bathroom, Laundry, and, of course, Personal Hygiene. Whatcha’ think?

Yes! Absolutely! Maybe I should do a video on the non foods. Thank you.

@@HeartFilledHomemaking great, I am currently (well, I’ll be honest, for the last 30 years) been looking for a way to tame the abyss under the kitchen and bathroom sinks... 😉

Excellent video. You were so right about getting overwhelmed with food preps. I know I am. But I am such a stickler for rotating that I have to keep my pantry in order. I haven't had a chance to view the videos that you recently did on various food storage. But I guarantee I will. Now for something a little more personal. Is that a Moosehead maple dining room set? I live in Maine and that is where this furniture was made. They made the best furniture. They are no longer in business, but the furniture will be around a long time. I have a set very similar to that, purchased back in the 70s. I gave it to my daughter. Mine has the duxbury chairs like you have. My table is a drop leaf. I also saw the Maine blueberry jam from Stonewall. I've actually been to one of their facilities. Of course couldn't leave without buying some.

Thank you! I just finished videoing another video on how to rotate your preps. Lord willing, it should be out next week! The hutch is one that was bought by my mother at a locally owned "unfinished" furniture store. She stained it and a table. She passed away 6 years ago and that's when i became its new owner. My dad is still using the matching table. My table was bought at an estate sale with 2 additional leaves and 6 chairs. I'm not sure of its origination or history. Thanks for watching! Btw- blueberry and elderberry are my absolute FAVORITE jellies.

Love the organization. It must be a lady thing. My wife does things very similarly. I wish I was that organized. And I think grits is its own category!!! Lol. Love grits. Cheese grits, fish and grits, shrimp and grits, eggs over easy and grits. 😆

One thing that I have found that helps me is dating each can with a sharply marker. I also inventory any new additions when I purchase something. I go to my list when I am cooking and pull out the oldest can and use it first. It has eliminated a lot of wasted food.

Thank you. I keep my working pantry in my kitchen, and the short and long term items share space in the laundry room. If I had my way, I'd get a stackable washer and dryer and reorganize the rest of the space. My husband and his mother hyperventilated at the suggestion so this is unlikely to happen in the foreseeable future!

Lol. I know how you feel. I've had the same thought about my laundry room, as well as a few other places. Over time I've had to realize that I'm just gonna need to work with what I've got. Which is hard sometimes

@@HeartFilledHomemaking - quite welcome! I’m a native Texan (7th-generation) & have been working on different parts of my pantry / other supplies for awhile now. I’ve also shared vids I thought might be helpful to my peeps, especially as we’ve all finally gotten through this most recent winter storm after almost a year of pandemic craziness.
The more people who are better prepared to take care of themselves, the better off we all are. Love your very organized & logical way of showing why / how / where you keep your different items. 😊

I see u have olives. I read about olives trees being destroyed by disease. They may be hard to find or really expensive soon. Just FYI.
