Did track 2 get blocked (For Your Life)? You mentioned that you did it.
The precision rhythm on this track is ridiculous. I went by the Royal Orleans hotel in the French quarter and visited the Rib Room last time I was there. Also had a drink at the Absinthe House bar, which is depicted on the cover of In Through the Out Door. Lots of Zeppelin references in New Orleans, You can see why they like it there.

‘Nobody’s Fault but Mine’ and ‘Hots On for Nowhere’ are the next best songs in your queue-they rock as well as any song from earlier albums. ‘Candy Store Rock’ is different for Zep but creative nonetheless, and ‘Tea for One’ is slow and very bluesy, a less attractive cousin to ‘Since I’ve Been Loving You.’ An underrated Zeppelin album that has some great, great songs.

For Your Life is mine from this album and them doing it for the first time at the Reunion at the O2 back in late 2007 is just good as the studio version with Jason on drums.

Zeppelin is one of the greatest of all time. Their songs are funky as a pot of chitterlings. Bonham's triplets and beats were the backbone.

This song was Robert taking the mickey out of John Paul Jones. When they went to New Orleans on tour, they would stay at the Royal Orleans Hotel and they loved going to gay bars to watch drag shows, etc., because they wouldn't get hassled there like they would going to regular clubs. In the song, the lyrics imply someone bringing back a girl - with whiskers. John Paul Jones said it wasn't him, that he'd never brought back a guy, thinking they were a girl. He did, however, tell another story how during one tour, one of the drag queens joined him in his hotel room to smoke some pot. They both passed out and accidentally set the room on fire. No one was hurt but it was embarrassing. This story matches the lyric "fire preceded water". The "John Cameron" mentioned was a rival of Jonesy's from his session days. Also, I think you skipped the song before this one called For Your Life - at least it's not up on your channel, did it get blocked?

Yep that’s right. As a New Oleanian in my late teens, we all knew that was home base for the Zeppelin tribe, when in town. Would see them all over town, they could chill in any bar in or out of the Quarter, as the town was and is, full of musicians and libations which they enjoyed. Had seen three tours here and tickets in hand for the 77 show, if memory serves, the band was hanging in town when Robert got the dreadful news of his sons’ passing. Packed and gone. Never saw the full band again. Did catch Roberts’ 2 tours here supporting his 1st two solo albums. He was in good form, and those albums still hold up quite well for me. Still listen to all eight studio offerings, Still have some bootlegs from the 70’s as well. Btw, N.O. was the perfect town for everyone who was into music in the 70’s. That vibe was real, and almost every group loved being in town, with the exception of “The Grateful Dead.” Ran across a police chief trying to make a name for himself.

Umm this song has nothing to do with comment except Royal Orleans Motel
Story goes one night of debauchery, Supposedly Robert Plant said to a female
"How would YOUR red snapper like to meet THIS red snapper. !.🤣 It's backed up by members of Vanilla Fudge on Zeppelin's 1st tour of America backing Vanilla Fudge back in '69 . Practically everyone knows how that went over

@@robs.6891 I don't know what you're saying the song Royal Orleans has nothing to do with but John Paul Jones confirmed the drag queens and hotel room fire in this interview: In an interview he gave to Mojo magazine in 2007, Jones clarified the reliability of this rumour, stating:
The transvestites were actually friends of Richard Cole's; normal friendly people and we were all at some bar. That I mistook a transvestite for a girl is rubbish; that happened in another country to somebody else ... Anyway 'Stephanie' ended up in my room and we rolled a joint or two and I fell asleep and set fire to the hotel room, as you do, ha ha, and when I woke up it was full of firemen!

BIZ... I'M DISAPPOINTED... lol, nah all's good, but I was really looking forward to you breaking down the lyrics to this song and giving us a good laugh. It's a song with a life lesson... make sure the 'girl' you're strolling home with doesn't have five o'clock shadow or a voice like Barry White.

Did "For Your Life" get blocked? Page has some nasty licks in that song. Presence is his favorite Led Zeppelin record and I've always been in the same boat. It's Zeppelin at their rawest, warts and all.

Good but not great. 2.5 / 5 stars. No wonder Achilles Last Stand was the first track on Presence because it was all downhill after that. The start of LZ's slow descent. Although to Plant's credit he sang this entire album from in a wheelchair after the car wreck he and his wife had in Morocco in '75 while on vacation..
