- Project Ember | Descending, story continues for my UE short film series. Check out the last 2 episodes here.
• "Lip Sync" | Unreal En...
• "Hello World" | Metahu...
Descending is the ACT 1 of a much bigger story, we will reveal the rest in the next coming months. A bit more behind the scene, animation was mostly done in maya + xsens. Facial all animated in Unreal (edit from iPhone capture).
Overall took about 7 weeks to finish. We are cooking something bigger scope, so stay tuned and feel free to reach out if you want to know more about our work, or need help with Unreal cinematic. (shapeshifterscr...)

Forget the engine. The asset quality is insane. Massive respect to the modelers/artists and art direction on this one. Of course everything else as well
Thank you! Super lucky to have great artists on the project! So talented!
How underrated could this possibly be!
Be great to see a tutorial on this. Sooooo many great optics going here. Love it
I agree.
It’s coming! I’m preparing some big transformation of the channel!
@@Unrealhan from us noobs, we salute you ;) x x x
@@Unrealhanshould we still be expectant? cause I’m interested.
There have been a few technologies that have been great democratizers of the arts. The DAW turned peoples bedrooms into full blown recording studios. The Cannon EOS (and shortly after its competitors) put cinema quality film into the hands of everyman. And now UE5 is doing that for CG. With Blender finally catching up to Maya , even the modellings becoming affordable (I believe Houdini even has a free for amateur use version of their stuff too). Its a brave new world. This stuff is amazing my dude.
Absolutely stunning!
Wow! Absolutely stunning! Cannot wait to see how you achieved this. I am getting a PC really soon and will be learning UE5 from the scratch. I want to do cinematics and watching your videos inspires me so much more to get into this. Can't wait to learn more and see more of your amazing work! Keep it up and congrats to the whole team 😁
Absolutely fantastic.
The facial animations are so cool on this !!
Incredible work! Very inspiring! This is the future of movie making and it is here today!
Honored to see this the moment it came out lmao
You truly are an inspiration man. Nice job! Its creators like you that get me excited to get into this space. I understand that it takes a lot of dedication and time to get to this level, but so worth it. It must be amazing to be able to create your own cinematic/content that you want and you want others to see. I have a long journey ahead of me, but subscribing to people like you will keep me motivated and going. Awesome job!
EMBERy awesome short film. I love it. I'm so inspired with your videos right now 😊
I am continually impressed with your work Han. I look forward to the next chapter and to seeing your techniques.
Great stuff! Loved the consistent visuals of all the technology, and the environment was great too
Wao. Amazing ! I love it. I wish i could to learn about your skill.I hope you will share your knowledge with everyone at a reasonable price.
sooo mutch work.. man you killed it =D need this skills ... love it!!!
Wow, quality stuff !
Beautifully crafted!
I love this
Wow🔥 This is really amazing I just want to watch more! Excellent work! 🔥
Holy shit. Love it. Full 2hour movie when?
Computer graphics have come a long way. As child I was stunned by the Final Fantasy movie. Now realtime is getting close to render quality.
The future of realtime film making. Love it.
How long did it "render"? Probably only days or even entierly realtime?
Gripping from the start, looking forward to the next installment. Congrats!
Absolutely terrifying! Awesome work and results. 2:20 of sweaty palms!
Thanks a lot’ there’s a lot more crazy stuff coming!
A new astronaut landing on Atropos looking for Selene in Returnal 2 coming to PS5/PC. Video looks beautiful great job.
Amazing work 😮😮😮
Nice to see Interstellar Suit
Its better then a lot of CG from the last 20 years
fucking amazing man way too underrated , You deserve way more subscribers and views .It's crazy how the world works
The best. Hats off!
Thanks man! love your work too!
Pfff.... always mind blowing great stuff!
Best thing ive ever seen rendered jesus.
Whoa!
Great job.
Great work, I look forward to continuing!👍👍👍
Wow! Stunning work!👌 I'll love some breakdown and workflow view!
Amazing. Great work all around. Congrats on a successful and beautiful project.
Character came out much more realistic. No uncanny valley here. Great build up with the soundtrack. Extremely good lightning and particle effects. Only the lightning of the last shot doesn't seem to fit. The planet had some light blue/red-ish tones to it that are much to saturated in the last shot. Takes this scene out of context i think.
Character is a Metahuman preset, with astrounaut body suit
Whaaaat!!??!!?? I am inspired... I am inspired.... I am inspired!!!! Thank you!!! Off to make something cool
Amazing! congrats to the team! 🔥
WOW great!!!!
Amazing! Looking for continue!
I love the interstellar like helmet
Awesome 🔥
That's amazing. I want to be able to create works with this kind of atmosphere someday too. Anyway, it is wonderful.
That's so good. Incredibly well directed, one of the best around. Good job!! :)
The rock looks amazing in this trailer 😁
Beautiful. I wish games start looking like this going into the future from now.
Look super epic!
Awesome work!
Woahh!
Excellent
...and another one!
Bravo!!
Absolutely Fantastic Work!!!!
So freaking cooll
This is the best
awesome men
superb ! Great work! respect !
The future of filmmaking is independent. This is an example that should have every bloated Hollywood Studio running scared. Fantastic visuals, animation, sound design, and editing. To learn that you used the iPhone facial cap app is astonishing. It would be great to see your workflow process capturing the realistic and authentic facial expressions animations with the iPhone capture setup. I will be watching your channel for more. Are you available for contract work? ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Absolutely insane. Would die to see a breakdown.
Stunning !!! Awesome work !
interesting project, to do something like this a few years ago would have cost a few hundred thousand dollars.
Excellent. Great job!
Masterpiece 🔥😳
Amazing ! You have created the most realistic motion ever in UE till now! Excellent work ! By the way, did you use a mocap suite ? also, how you captured facial animation ? en-light us please :)
Awesome! :D Would it be possible to do these kinds of projects solo? Was thinking of picking up a laptop for this kind of stuff (as desktop components are still overpriced here in Australia atm).
You can definitely do this kind of work solo. I would imagine you'd want to go with a pretty high-end laptop (desktop would be a better choice), but yes! It's totally possible to do short films like this all on your own with Unreal.
@@MirrorValley that’s amazing!!!
Beautiful work! Very inspiring. Were the fire and sparks done in Unreal or brought in from Maya?
all done in UE with marketplace assets + tweaks
@@Unrealhan Good to know - thanks!
@@Unrealhan So the final render was in UE5 right?
Wow !
great work !!
Great
super awesome. What is the technique that you use for lighting ?
Rock in a space movie.
Nice video👍 How long did it take you to make it and render it?
Looks like Houdini + Cinema 4D + Blender + Maya/3ds. Everything, but not the crappy UE 4/5 :)
How near is the possibility that this quality could be real time rendering? Not pre rendered in engine. Good quality
I was watching this and for some reason the character doesn't look natural and I was trying to figure out what it was and then I saw it: the pupils are waaaay too large, almost like an anime. Other than that, this is amazing.
Incredible. I really want to start doing these kind of animations so can you give an advice for a laptop to work with unreal engine? Can you give some info about the specs?
Mass effect 4 or at least the one we deserve since I don't even count Andromeda Mass Effect game 😁
How did you do motion capture? Was it some expensive tech or did you use free software and a webcam?
🔥🔥🔥🔥
It's very cool! Breakdown please!
충격 받고 CG 접는 사람이 속출하는 현장인 것 같습니다..
Is there a link to the mocap workflow card that shows up? Are there any cons about your mocap system? How are you animating the face? Nice work.
The rock
太带劲了吧!厉害👍!神一般的存在!
was this rendered with Path Tracer or Lumen? Also do you ever render any of your scenes with Path Tracer?
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🎞🎥🇧🇷
0:11 this beginning landscape shot is super beautiful. and spaceship and atmosphere, specially the character movements looks next level. would love to see a tutorial or breakdown of how you guys achieved this amazing look. congrats to you all 🔥🌸💜(✿◡‿◡)
Thanks! Breakdown is coming next week!
好棒
fk me that is incredible
The break down for the ship - was that rendered in maya or something else
The close up shot of the engine falling apart? How did you guys accomplish that in unreal engine
That was fantastic
All UE5, no need to render in Maya or other software anymore. You can also use Octane in UE.
@@AlessandroSchiassi that make sense - doubt the render was with octane because landscape was there - octane doesn’t render the landscapes yet - unless they updated it
So next question, when the ship engine was falling apart was that also rendered in UE?
Do you like the animation was done in maya and then import over to UE for final ?
@@AlessandroSchiassi I can make sense of everything except that the ship destruction parts
@@AnimeBadBoi The landscape could have been turned into a static mesh, so that could make Octane work. I didn't work on this video but I'm confident that the whole thing was rendered in UE5. Also the animation could have been done in UE5, especially if they used Chaos to simulate physics.
@@AlessandroSchiassi ok that make sense thanks for the insight - I’ll look more into this
Which Assets do you use??
Part 2 ?
How long did this take to make?
Hey mate this looks awesome, do you want to submit it to my space themed film festival?

is that the rock?
I see only a black screen 😢
