This video is so rad!!! So nice to watch a video without having someone say “that was insane” every time they hook into something! Again great video really gave a good insight into how it is over there. I have been wanting to do a trip out there and stay on one of the chikees forever. This just light a fire to plan a trip. Thanks!
I've done a lot of camping out of Flamingo. Quite a bit further south but it's basically the same exact environment. You guys have some steel ones camping in the summer. We usually waited till the first cold front. Fishing slowed just ever so slightly but the bugs were 100% gone. Great video
We go to flamingo pretty often as well. Next weekend we are going to be staying there. Probably going to fish snake night and cape sable. It is a pretty rough go in the summer months man. I can't wait for the cooler days. Thanks!
@@SandFlea_Adventures Also try the mouth of the Little Shark. There is a mud bank on the last turn that use to produce a lot of fish on the change. SUmmertime, I cna't do that anymore. Way too brutal but good luck, I look forward to that video
I'll have some content on that one day in the future. I came into little shark river inlet one day with 4 ft swells, coming north from flamingo. Was very scary to say the least. They were over the poling platform when looking backwards.
Cool vid! We have our smaller bass boats rigged to sleep on when we do the rivers. I've learned to do without alot of things, but that outhouse was a luxury I'd get used to really quick. Also, your tents look killer-built for what you're doing. We've been using the handheld size ThermaCell's, and they work incredibly well in our screened tents! We try to stay out in deeper water away from shore, but hey, it's Michigan. We've been to "bug college" a long time ago, lol. The "Cluster flies" in the Upper Peninsula will make you file a UFO report! (~new sub)
Thanks man!! The bugs are something serious. What I don't have a video of is how bad the deer flies get in the creeks. The come straight for the kill. We are actually picking up a couple thermacell here soon. I've never used them but hear they are great! Glad you enjoyed the video.
@@SandFlea_Adventures You need to be near to them and set them low, they don't work well when you're hiking or moving around much, but sitting in an area around 12-15 feet, they rock. (Just for mosquitos.) Hardly any smoke with very little odor, you forget about them. Best with a light breeze. The butane lasts at least 12 hours per cylinder, and the pads for 4 hours, about what they claim. $40.00 for the bulk box, but worth every cent. Some cats are refilling the butane, and off brand pads can be found online cheap. We love them.
@@SandFlea_Adventures nowhere worth fishing for epic afternoons is easy to get to. I spend winter time fishing a lot of NMZ…it’s a ding to dong day….. that takes a day to prepare and a day to recoup😂
@@brendang5814 Not at the moment, But I might join one to help some people out. We built this out of dyvinycell foam board. Boat turned out amazing. Thanks again
No way 😂 I used to have one. I didn’t look that nice. I literally didn’t recognize it. Job well done 👍🏻 The wife and we’re watching your vid and I kept talking about how nice of a little skiff it was. Said looked like something i would have had before kids. Turns out we did have one😂 Check out my boat I designed and built
Love your content with exception to two things..... while running boat at a pretty good clip, your partner should probably be setting a better example and maybe have a pfd on, just a good example for those who watch and secondly.... your kill switch is supposed to on your wrist for your safety as well as example...... again thank you for your time and content.
@@SandFlea_Adventures I was referring to the beautiful spot you have there. I’d be afraid it would be like sharing your favorite honey hole, and finding it occupied forever after that. I had no idea those camp spots were available down there. (Found some up around the Mobile Bay area along the river trail, but I know a guy who lost a dog off one to a gator overnight, so not going to try those!)
@@driftless1870 Gotcha. I guess I will see in the coming future. There are multiple camps through out the Everglades national park. Hopefully not everyone just floods only this camp. I will keep this in mind for my future videos. Thanks.
@@SandFlea_Adventures Loved your video. Looking forward to seeing more. We do hope to get down there sometime. Don’t know if we will spend the night on the water unless we can get farther offshore. Those mosquitoes looked pretty serious.

Awesome video! Got some sick shots of a true Florida experience
Really enjoyed watching u guys. When I was young I would have loved to do that. Good luck guys with fishing.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you

Awesome video. Where can i find one of those seat cushions for the yeti?
Its Eric Estrada art. I had to buy mine second hand because they were a limited edition. Thanks for watching glad you enjoyed it.
Great video bzzzzzzzz, no where to run 😎🇺🇸
Thanks man we appreciate it. No running out here only swatting.
Dang, that’s quite a run. Plate creek is 20+mi.
Yeah it's a jog. A fun one though. Thanks for watching.

Hey the adventures half the fun right!!
Such a sick boat.
What’s that thing run for mph?
Man this means more than you know as Chuck and myself built the boat. The hull is a 1973 Johnson. She goes about 35mph.
I have a 1998 johnsen skiff!
Are you on any social media sites too talk boats?

Nice little skiff you got any info on it? I tried searching and couldn’t find anything about it

Can you leave your stuff at the chikkeee when ur fishing for the day
Yes, the clips where you see the boat loaded were to and from the chikee. We just make our reservations with the park and go set up.
I live in Key Biscayne n I've switched 2 Nite Fishing due to this nasty heat wave..it drains n Fatigues me
I can understand that. The heat this year has been unbearable. Thanks for watching!

Spray your tent with permethrin. You won't see any skeeters!
