I just got starter in ear monitors, so keeping a note about these for later on down the road, those ones do look awesome though and that control box is sex. 🤘
Also if you say it over and over with a beat pause in between, it makes a nifty drum beat. 🥁 twenty-two twenty-two twenty-two twenty-two andtwenty-two 🎶
GUITARISTS: Rob Scallon and Steve Terreberry (Stevie T) are both fantastic guitarists on RUclips! Also, Andrew Huang does a little bit of everything if you ever wanna check out his monster sphere of music bending reality 💙 OH YURR loving the videos dude
your answer for "games other than raid shadow legends" (around 10:47) reminded me of Tom Keifer of Cinderella responding: "well, we've been touring. we've been touring. and when we're not touring, we're touring. so...touring" to a question
HOLYSHIT!!!! ALLENTOWN PA THRASH AND BURN TOUR 2008!!! MY BAND AT THE TIME OPENED THAT TOUR!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IM JUST PUTTING TOGETHER THAT THAT WAS YOU!!! 🤯
I think the reason for the snare being so important is the fact that, usually, the snare (and kick) is the drum you hit most often. Therefore it has to sound very good. Think St. Anger. If it had an excellent snare but dodgy toms, would the drum sound have become a meme?
I am 61 years old, and I still am improving since I started at age 14. I have to find something difficult to challenge me. Now, Danny Carey challenges me.
After twenty years playing drums in original bands my personal biggest tip for recording drums is (ducks for cover).... Save the acoustic for the stage and get an ekit. I have spent an insane amount of time and money on billable studio hours and frustrating home hours trying to dial in acoustic drum sounds. Ekits are 'plug and play'.
I'd loved mesh heads on my acoustics. I recorded my kit, dumped those samples into my V-drum module, threw the mesh heads & triggers on & loved it in its own way.
The band: Drums: Samus Bass: Adam Neely Rhythm Guitar: Ola Englund Lead Guitar: TheDooo Vocals: Jared Dines Opening act: Guitar and backing vocals: Colin Scott Lead guitar: Stevie T Vocals: Anthony Vincent Drums: Fernando Lemus Bass: Davie504
For fun, I asked AI to summarize this video, and it came up with this: "The Number 22 The number 22 is frequently referenced. There is no specific reason for using the number 22 other than personal preference. The number 22 is one-third of 66."
For the musicians, definitely pick Andy Gillion on lead guitar ! He is easily above anyone else. Sad to hear he is not a member of Mors Principium Est anymore ! I think he is a very talented, hardworker musician. His solo album "Neverafter" is one of the best instrumental album I heard in a looong time. His leads and soli are musical, technical but serve the music, always. Oh and Samus did the drums... Yeah with few blasts yeah *SEX !!!*. You did awesome on this album GODAMNIT ! For bass : Nate Navarro is quite the guy you NEED !
I feel ya Sam, my buddy Hates splashes for some reason & "Frisbees" 1 at me everytime I walk into his shop (Pawn/Drum). He's like "What's the Point They're Too Small"! Ok, keep em comin my way brother, love me some splashes & my 8 in tom-tom thank u very much Also, the price of my kit changes cause I'm always upgrading something on it, & usually adding or scalin down according to the gigs & just simply how I'm feeling that day, & I'm proud to be a "Bah-thy"?! Lmao
I can't wait to see the mesh head video. I did an acoustic conversion for my kit, but I'm not a drummer! Curious if you actually "tune" the mesh or do the default crank it down method.
I read those old analog metronomes are not as accurate as the digital computer clicks we use today. Dunno how true that is, but when I try to make a click to some old metal covers like Megadeth it sometimes doesn't line up exactly
Also, knowing your strengths and lesser used areas. I don't say weaknesses, because the reasoning for saying it's a weakness, is because it's something you don't use a lot with your style of drumming. If you don't know a thing because it's not used a lot in your style, can that be called a weakness? No. Also, DemonDrive! The 2nd most important change in hardware I ever made. After 25 years of dw5002, to a long board direct drive, was game changing! The most significant change was going electronic. Not fully but in the studio and practice room.
question for a future FAQ- For those of us who aren't "drummers' but play/record drums (intermediate at best drummers) for their own music, do you have any advice on how to come up with more interesting beats?
Question for your next Q&A. Is there any drum stands that are specifically made to mount electronic drum pads and if so what brand would you recommend for a budget shopper. 22!!! Ohhh Yurrrrrr!!!!!
Sir Samus, your hair+beard style looks real similar to Egor Letov (late style) - one crazy musician from 1980-1990's)) I think all russians look at you and think "Wow, relatives!"
I remember the Hello Kitty guitar videos. I've been around since the Insane Drunk Drumming days (I think you may have posted that video on the Derek Roddy forum or something like that). So many good videos all over RUclips from a long time ago have been deleted and it's kinda sad
I was resisting requesting Archspire many times, and I totally understand it, though I kind of laughed recently when I was watching and older Lord Marco vid where he was doing the alternating hand technique on his high hat, and I was like holy shit that sounds like Spencer, and now I'm really curious what his own influences are. I guess I would say I feel like I'd still request Archspire because I want to give Olli, Toby, Dean, Jared, and Spencer as much attention as I can, I haven't had a band stir my childhood joy at listening to music like they have for me.
Have you thought about incorporating a pressure swivel in your kick technique like Krimh or Eugene Ryabchenko do, or are you happy with what you do now?
Hey brother, Mike the 1 legged drummer here, just wondering if you have ever checked out Scott Travis from Judas Priest. They dis a live version of Pain Killer. It's on RUclips on their self named channel. Lots of double bass work in that song. I think he could keep up with you as far as speed. But come on, you are you brother. Sex. You are a double bass master. You are a master beater. Lol SEX!! Keep the videos coming. Love you man. PEACE ✌
Hey good buddy, hope all is doing well, and your family as well. Question, could you please cover and explain 3 songs for me, all 3 by August Burns Red. #1 The Seventh Trumpet #2 Marianas Trench #3 The Escape Artist It would be so awesome if you could find the time to practice it. The Seventh Trumpet would be amazing if you did that one. I use to play the drums, I use to play shows etc. Now I am a paraplegic so I can no longer use my feet. I enjoy watching your videos, keep up the great work Sir. Cheers from Ontario 🇨🇦 🤘🤘

So just make second channel with your highlights from your Stream that is basicly ready really fast with minimum editing and you can upload after mostly any stream ! It will be good for people that want that outside your main channel and you will cut down on time for editing in general ! 22 :D
I’d expect Jules Conroy/FamilyJules to do guitar if you were in a band with RUclips musicians. Also, I’m all for the 2nd channel idea. And, please reupload the hello kitty guitar vids.

@@quadzmotooffroad2904 not to play drums in this Band thing question :D Later in the video there is a question where samus answers that he wants to meet him
Eloy Casagrande made some videos using an app called Moises which can remove some instruments and I guess it has a function who brings the song to metronome e "beeps" it for you, yuo should check it out

That lineup would actually be sick
Stevie T for leads. He is better than all of them. Nik is meh
Adam Neely for bass! I don’t know how much metal he has done, but dude is a shredder on bass and always knows the best part to fill the song

0:25 If you need a bass player, it will be a pleasure for me) Especially with Ola
Well, I just bought a bass a couple of months ago but I can't play shit. So, I'm voting for Kello for bass. He's your bass guy for sure! 🤘
