First, I named everything Link Strike, but that’s wrong. Some of these moves are called Blindside Link too. Both types are links anyway.
Link Strike happens when you parry an attack, while Blindside Link happens when you attack an enemy from behind.

Some side notes:
Note 1) Some Link Strikes/Blindside Strikes took me a lot time to record without glitching. The one with Noctis.Greatsword and Gladio.Shield (Blindside Link), for example, took me around 9 tryies to not glitch. The one with Noctis.Greatsword and Aranea.Polearm (Blindside Link) glitched all the 22 tryies (the one in the video is the one that least glitched… I could not find it working on the You Tube neither. All videos I’ve found were glitched too). It’s not a huge problem when the animations glitches. The problem is when you miss because of it. Even so, a lot of these animations change the camera angle depending on the situation. Some of them change a bit depending on where the enemy is. Square did an amazing job to make these animations work in the middle of the battle, no other game can offer this, right now.

Note2) TIPS TO DO IRIS AND CHOCOBO LINK STRIKES: Use Royal Arms!!! Igi, Promp and Gladi can’t Link Strike with Royal Arms, but Iris and Chocobos can! This means you will Link Strike with them easily!

Note3) The Iron Giant Link Strike took me 33 times to record it. On the 14 try, I triggered it, but it glitched… Noctis usually does the normal one instead. I wonder how many people triggered this Link Strike…

CHAPTER 14
--- Noctis - Ifrit
After you get the help of Bahamuth, the more you low Ifrit’s HP, the more stronger he will be, with new moves. On the last phase of Ifrit, if you make him extremely weak, you can perfume this “Link Strike” with the party. You will have to press the attack button (mine was Square on the PS4)

What I like about these Link-Strikes is the little gestures/ reactions between and after the animations. From fist bumps, nods, waving, high fives . . .etc. it really gives them that human element of these characters. Thanks for the upload.

Anyone else notice in 4:08, ignis's glasses fall off after the attack and he starts looking around for them, and then noct hands them to him. The animations and attention to detail are so sick.

I love how they can jump from the back of the Adamantoise and land safe and sound.
Gladio can even lift the sword of a Iron Giant and kill him with it.
Block blows from Titan without dying/having their arms broken/just being pushed down in the ground due to the force.
But when they try to push the car at the start of the game they can barely move it.
At this point Gladio should pick up those magitec robots and use them as a weapon, swinging them around furiously XD
They can do it because it looks cool. I bet if a Cactuar stole Ignis' glasses during the intro and rode away on the back of a Behemoth, Gladio could lift the car with everyone inside and run faster than the car can drive

Gladio can lift that big weapon it's because there are magic weapon , for example Noctis can block titan punch with a tiny sword , it's not Noctis strength to block that attack because human strength is impossible to do it , it's the power from the sword that he held to push away the punching from titan.

Let me Remind you Gladio can lift regular stone pillars and Iron Giant swords (no magic involved)
And block blows from TITAN.
By that standard, Gladio should be able to lift the car up with one hand and casually jog to the gass station.
Noct can warp thousands of feet instantly and survive a fall from that height but he still uses stairs and ladders and worries about falling off ledges.
This was great! I had never seen Iris jump in excitement after she heals Noctis. It's just the cutest thing ever.
I like seeing the link strikes with Noctis and Prompto, their little high fives and fist bumps are so cute

4:04 look very closely at this link strike. While Noctis and Ignis are in the middle of their link strike, Prompto slides between Notic's legs while shooting his enemy. In the Duscae demo they made this possible with all four simultaneously attaking one enemy..it sucks they took that feature out and broke it up into what link strikes are to this day :/

In Episode Descae, all link strikes were with 2 characters only, just like in the final game.
But in the demo there was that huge combo you could do with everybody that you said. That was a link attack too... But it had lots of glitches and it was stupid (because you get invicible for A LOT of time). The way it is in the game is much better in my opinion. Overwhelm from Igi is the closest thing you have in the main game that looks like those link attacks.
Maybe there could be Link Strikes with 3 or 4 characters in the main game, but I guess it would be super hard to do :\
Well the big full team link strike is a thing now! And it is pretty awesome when you wanna wreck a bosses health.

Asetoni FFXV When she is in your party, you can go to the streets wait for soldiers to come up, or you can go to Fort Vaulerey with a chocobo :)

Iris's Critical Link Strike seemed to only show more often against magitek soldiers. I tried with daemons but didn't work. And seeing that scene against Ifrit, now I wanna see it for myself in my 2nd run.

These link strikes are well enough to make it seem the game was worth getting. Btw Gladio picking up that giant ass sword and freaking throwing it, straight up impaling the ice giant is the most badass thing in the game.

How did you get that triple iron giant link strike ? jesus christ it was from Final Fantasy Versus 13 trailer, and i kinda pissed that i thought they didn`t included it in the game, but you proved me wrong
+Liquid Eli It is in my tutorial how to trigger it, you can check it on reddit.
But to trigger it, you have to be using the Greatsword, and you need to be lucky to trigger it. Everybody needs to be alive (maybe not Igi).
I tryied it like around 30 times... at the 15 try I did it, but it glitched because of the terrain.

Thanks so much for making this video! I love pulling these off in the game and I had hoped someone would make a compilation so I could watch them any time. The guests' Links are especially great to see since they're only around for a very short time. I saw the Prompto machinery blast animation the other day and it's so awesome there are two variations of it depending if you're standing behind him. Is that the only animation that has a variation? It's hard for me to tell since there are so many Links.

When you do jump with 2 polearms, Noctis keeps on the ground and look to Igi. I did not record it, I did not notice it :/
When Promp polidance on Noctis lance, Noctis claps to Promp if you dont move.
Did you randomly record animations while making this compilation or did you have a method? What method would you recommend to catch all the animations?
pointclicky I had a method.
I used my save when Gladio gets out of the party, so I had only Igi and Promp. Both were using only daggers and firearm.
After recording all animations, I made them use Polearm and Machine.
If you make the characters only use 1 weapon, it is easier to trigger all Link Strikes, because you will have less weapons to be randomly choosed by the game. After recording everything with the primary weapons, I made them use the secondary too.
Good tips! For Noctis's weapons, did you equip in a specific way to make keeping track of animations less confusing?
If I wanted to focus on capturing animation for a particular guy would I equip the F.Band on him only and not the others? Which dungeon is easiest to get a band?
pointclicky Use the weapon you want to see the Link. If you want links with Polearms, than use only the polearm in Noctis.
The easiest friendship band is probably the one in Glacial Grotto, that dungeon you do in chapter 3. And yep, using this acessory makes it easier to do a Link Strike with a specific character.
The ones with prompto are the sickest
Its weird, I've put so many hours into this game and there are a lot of these link strikes that i haven't even seen.
I get the same ones all the time.
Do you just unequip one of their weapons to limit the choice and narrow in on the link you want them to do?

But during the fight I let any Link Strike happen, specially because more weapons is better. But if you want to see more some types of Link Strikes, than yeah, limit their weapons.
1:20 the best one its been years and I still have only gotten this link maybe like 3-4 times its extremely rare to get this one for some reason..

Once u unlock all the teamwork abilities all these link strikes will become available it takes time so I advise u to play threw the game several time and each link is depends on the weapon u have during the link so the combinations are limitless
+Pablo Fresh Link Strikes are available since the beggining, dont need to unlock it :)
Also, you can do links with Sword, Greatsword and Polearms, only.
@@MemoriesLP oh I know I'm completely maxed out and did every link strike possible warp links wit almost every weapon and the more u upgrade and progress the more frequently u can perform links I'm sure u know that and I never said they wasn't available from the start of the game. especially on NG+

I have a LV 1 no Ascension run and Links work 100% the same. Dont need to progress at anything.
2:14 this! THIS!! I was able to only do this once andafter 100 hours of gameplay on ps4 and another 100 hours on pc I wasn't able to do it again! And it also happened during the first hour of my gameplay!
I have 1200+ hours in this game, and it was extremelly rare.
Of course I do many diferent things etc.
But even for recording, it took me a long time

Some Linkstrikes will not trigger anymore when u equip the secondary weapon on your friends! rly dissapointing
For example, i have NEVER seen 4:20 with Ignis. Because i equipped spear with him i mostly got Spear linkstrikes and not daggers.
+LwNickV I cant confirm it is IMPOSSIBLE, but yeah... For me to trigger these Link Strikes I unequiped some weapons so the chances for trigering them increases.
I even used the chapter where you have only Promp e Igi so I could trigger only their link strikes. I spent like 2 hours doing Link Strikes until I realised a patern.
Yea, i noticed it when i saw my friend play. He did that double forward Dash with Ignis very often... Then i tried doing it and it never worked... Then i unequipped spear and there it was, equipped spear again and it never happened again. Very weird design...
BTW... I literally spent hours trying to get the Triple Iron Giant Parry.. Pure RNG!!! why would they hide this cool animation behind such luck!
Did you read the reddit link from the description? Well, you don't need to. But there I say that I spent A LOT of time to trigger the Link Strike with the Iron Giant.
If I'm not mistaken, I got it on my 15 try, but it glitched because the terrain was not regular. So around my 30 try, I could trigger it without glitching the animation,
Stupid right? They make this awesome linkstrike only to make it trigger VERY rarely!!! There are not even any Iron Giants in the story... If you Always sleep at night your chances of doing this animation is 0... i rly don't understand this... pissed me off lol

2:12 Prompto spinning on the ground holding onto Noctis's spear. Looks like a blindside link. How is this triggered? Do some link strike animations work only without secondary arms?
I don't remember if it only works when you remove secondary, but doing that makes it easier to see them.

There were also link strikes in that one cross-over. I don't remember it was, but I think the character's name was Sarah?
I did videos for the dlcs and updates as they were released over time.
There are some blindside link strikes I wanted to do but how do you get them to do it? Like when noct put down his spear and prompto use that pole arm to swing around shooting enemies i only did that once and I have 150hours game time lol. And is there anyway we can choose who will blindside link with noct or it is just random?
+Mrpogi 20 some Link Strikes you have to unequip the secondary weapon.
So try unequiping Machine for Promp :)

Iron needs to be dying and you need to be using a heavy sword.
The ifrit one tells you to press the button near the end of the fight
i abuse link strikes in all the menace dungeons. friendship band works and is OP. especially the blindside Great sword with iggy. around 60-70k dmg lol

MemoriesLP 60-70k is total damage actually but yeh i find it better than Prompto rapid fire link strike with sword.
i actually use a pretty simple combo using link strikes given that I can parry the opponent. Parry with Polearm, linkstrike with prompto to STOP enemy. roll behind and switch to greatsword and blindside link strike(lucky if ignis with Flayer equipped with highest dmg link)

When I realised all internet videos were incomplete or not organized, I decided to do it myself.
Took around 9 hours I think, but with organization I could learn all of them.
I expected more screaming but these softboys show restraint. Impressive.

This combat is a HOT mess. While the idea is interesting the execution is weak. You can't exactly see them or how they function and the camera is atrocious. smh
You can understand everything about the combat if you pay more attention to it
Lmao Not really If your playing the game you know exactly what your doing since you have to position yourself in a certain way to do it or who to do it with and make it look cool. Game was pretty good when you can do it fluidly and make it look cool you just have no exection to do it😂🤷♂️
