    nice video. i do like how you demonstrate what's need to be done. so a job like this, about how much $$ this tow will cost ?

    i also think that the manufactures should have to design a quick disconnect where you don;t always have to pull drive shafts i know you can pull axle shaft but makes a mess. but the time saved if they would figure out a way to tow with driveshafts left in sure would would make your job faster and easier

    Those are "Press loc" fittings you were using your adjustable wrench on. Probably made by Parker Pneumatic.
    Thanks for a fun video.

    Great vid, nice sweet 16 too.....whats that device on the back wall of the cab, over your left shoulder? I subbed!

    • @MercifulTowing
      @MercifulTowing  Год назад +2

      Thanks for the sub.. that devise is a HAAS Alert. When we activate our light bars it sends a message to anybody using GPS thru Waze, Apple maps, or any gps built into a chrysler, jeep, dodge, fiat, ram, and says Slow Down and Move Over, Tow Truck on Scene Ahead. It also allows us to real time track our trucks. Its a great safety device.

    i know it works and must be safe because the whole industry uses them but it still scares me to know only 2 round pins going thru the adapter holds the weight it does. i think it was country boys towing showed a kit that plugged into the tow hook points that are on each side of the front and towed one and the other one that scares me is the one that slides over the stud of the spring mount on the rear. i commented one time about that and they said if its strong enough to hold axle to spring should be strong enough to tow big difference there are u ubolts each side total of 4 studs clamping the axle down big difference only using one of them pulling and stopping with just one slid in a hole. i don't do any heavy towing just watch know must be safe or so many wouldn't do it but still scares me. great job have a good week happy towing

      It is pretty crazy to think about for sure!

  • @joelwingate7994
    @joelwingate7994 Год назад +1

    At first I was like 3 Miles it would be way easier to grab it from the rear and then when you went to do the driveshaft then I seen the big forklift on the back like oh nevermind then lol

      @MercifulTowing  Год назад +2

      I wanted to grab it from the rear as well then I arrived and said the same thing! Lol throw that idea in the trash

    Have you ever towed a tractor with a sleeper with the 16 ton?

    • @MercifulTowing
      @MercifulTowing  Год назад +2

      Yes, It towed it with no issues, i was over 100psi on the air bags though so I doubt it would legally scale but the truck didnt give a crap

    Awesome vid. Do you need a cdl for medium trucks?

    • @MercifulTowing
      @MercifulTowing  7 месяцев назад +1

      You can get trucks under 26001 lbs that can tow med duty vehicles but this 16 ton is 33000 gvw so it does require CDL

  • @whitfinks1007

    Do you mark the driveshaft?

    • @MercifulTowing
      @MercifulTowing  10 месяцев назад

      not if we only pull the diff side. if we remove the shaft from the slip yolk then yes
