1080p is still the best case resolution for pretty much all movies and TV shows. Most people don't realize that. Some people watch "4k" TV shows being broadcast live but don't realize that it is actually 1080p being upscaled to 4k. My flagship phone from 2021 records 4k video and it looks great on its 1080p display since many phones can record 4k video but can't show the full resolution. My phone has a 1080p display but the quality of its display is so good that of the many people that really liked this phone, none of them realized that the beautiful screen was just 1080p.

I never had the D7000 but owned the D7100 & D7200 and gotta say they were GREAT! the low light image clarity, the controls, the battery life, ergonomics! The only down side with ALL Nikon DSLRs was the video recording due to the terrible continuous auto focus or lack of, But for photos they the D7XXX range was amazing!

Nikon D7000 is a good camera. I bought it last year. My cell phone is an iPhone SE2, so I often use the d7000 to take commemorative family photos these days.
The soft depiction of the d-type lens is also good, and the AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G provides very sharp photos. I will use it carefully until it breaks.

I've owned my D7000 for over 10 years now and it's been a great camera. I'm by no means a pro photographer or even pretend to be one but I found the D7000 so easy to use with everything I need. I was up until recently using it as my primary camera for everything photo wise but I never used it as a Video camera as I never liked it's low res video. It's only been packed away for the last year or so because I upgraded my phone to an iPhone 15max and I got to say it's the only thing that I found that could take the same quality photos as the D7000 and have the advantage of good video quality and instant upload to the internet. I will still use the D7000 for all the pro photos like family weddings etc. It looks more professional at functions like this than sticking a mobile phone out in front of you.

Still own this camera. Wanted to upgrade to a full frame to get better low-light performace. But instead tried to shoot RAW files on iso above 800, and process the raw files in dxo pureraw software. As a result, I can safely shoot low-light portraits with fine skin detail up to iso 5000. And anything else up to 25600. In jpeg, I would not dare to go above iso 1250-1600. So I received kind of software upgrade and this camera is still with me.

Had 2 of these camera and have to say looking at getting a 3rd one since I gave the other 2 away years ago. The dual card slots, weatherization, picture quality and pro build make this a Must have for travel. The smartphones can do only so much but for high res photos and this price point well not many other cameras can deliver. I would suggest 2 lenses if you are into filming subjects at a distance and a wide aperture lens for those dark environments. I took some pretty sweet Milkyway pics on this device with an F1.4 Sigma 16mm lens. I like the Sony A6000 series but they are not weatherized and too delicate. Drop the Sony and it is game over if it hits dirt from 6ft up but his camera is a tank.

Place an object at 45° angle.
Make the focus on the middle and take the picture at maximum aperture.
You will be able to assess if you have front or back focus.
Make adjustments until you get it right.
You can compare with pictures taken in "live view".
The auto-focus is slower but it's right because it's done by the sensor.
      Good luck.
