- BeamNG v0.32 has just been released, and as with every update, there’s more than just the widely announced changes. Huge thanks to the BeamNG development team for granting me early access to the update, but keep in mind that the footage may not represent the final version. Anyway, here are 10 changes that you probably missed!

Might seem irrelevant to most people , but they finaly made the driveways in the residential area big enough to park a car without being on the sidewalk . This stupid detail has annoyed me for years and it's finally fixed.
Yeah, before there was a weird dip right in front of the garage that my car would always hit

crash cams gives me more burnout than need for speed vibes...
Thats why Most Wanted 2012 was mentioned. MW 12 is using Burnout related features such as the crash camera 🤷♂️

The 10 mentioned changes are the ones I expected to be less discussed than for example the BX Remaster..

i still really miss scratches on the cars, that would make smalle crashes way more realistic
I love how wcusa is updated every time recently, it almost shows the city’s progression, as the construction site has been updated too!

Cause its career map probably main focus atm all will get tweaked i bet though
another new thing is that now even uncompressable objects have buoyancy simulation and it doesn't have that rotation in water issue
Speed cameras? Crash cams? I am 95% sure they worked with the dude who ported Fairhaven over to BeamNG

One day BeamNG will overcome every single car related games, no matter if they are about trucks, racing, learning, offroad, drifting, customizing or something more - this product will be an ultimate car game sooner or later
Yep, people just need to realize its full potential and stop using it as a crashing simulator...
One small thing I like is the new VR controller beams that show where the controllers are so you can open the door/hood without guesswork

Beamng needs new antiailasing as a start, not everyone can run 4k
Bro I'm running it at 2K maxed out on a GTX1060 3GB and it's perfectly smooth. It's an easy game to run.

The most interesting detail I learned was the "Logs have almost no drag" part. The log jet ski clips were amusing.

I love this game sm, I wonder what it would look like in years from now.
I like the new BX rework, but the default configs are very tepid us usual. I immediately fixed that by creating a rally config with 600hp, and a racer config with 1200hp Twin Turbo V8. BTW the new Inline 4 Turbo sounds great ! I only wish they made the V8 sounds more aggressive and raw, at current pace maybe in 10 years they will get around to it.
They should add a corvette or mustang and replace or add a new V8 sound (similar to when they added the bastion)

No clue how I missed that, I played around with the water quite a bit... Thanks for sharing!
Seems they fixed Police Chase scenarios, because in 0.31 there were empty stretches with no traffic and no police, but now they spawn all the time, which makes Police Chase scenarios lot of fun again. Unfortunately they didn't fix the bug they introduced in 0.31 where car lights are shining through the bodywork, which ruins the entire lightning system.
They also fixed police traffic AI on modded maps, now one won't randomly glitch out and spam console errors.

I only get access to the updates 1-2 weeks before the release so no, not really. Didn’t have the time to make one though for this update haha

@@RallyElite I am under NDA, that's correct. The devs don't share more information than what's relevant for the upcoming update though, so something that's not said is obviously not under NDA :)
Although the update was cool I was a bit disappointed with the bx remaster, they used so many aspects from skylines and it would have been awesome if like the Covet they had introduced a new drive train for the Diane as well as an inline 6. I worry that we may never get the chance to see a car like that now as the devs might not want to go back and make a skyline inspired car again

If you have the new front end in the bx with the drift suspension and I4 engine, the force feedback goes crazy. And the front bumper trim is named rear bumper trim. But other than that no major bugs I've found

Another one is there is new horns and some horns where changed
I need a virtual rear mirror. I know there is one ui app for that, but that's more than just broken.

Would love a SBR4 remake
There are intercoolers for the SBR's engine in the files. For these to be actually useable, the SBR's body would have to undergo some changes, hinting at a remaster/remake some day :D

In the bottom right corner of the map selector you should see an 'include auxiliary debug content' checkbox. Check that and some previously hidden maps should be displayed, including the showroom :)
I have to play the game in 720p, and the ui looks more like 1080p now. Looks good, but messes with performance

What affordable (700-1000 dollar range) gaming laptop can run beamng smoothly at good graphics?
Sorry for the late reply, but I’d advise checking the *recommended* requirements on BeamNG’s steam page. The *minimum* requirements are outdated so I’d recommend slightly higher specs. At the moment the game is very CPU-intensive so definitely make sure the laptop has a good CPU as well at least 16GB (preferably 32 GB or more) of RAM. The GPU isn’t that important currently for running BeamNG.
Every time the devs just overtake our imagination, being the best devs in the world, making this game the BEST in the world, and not only in its category.

When selecting the map for free roam, tick the ‘include auxiliary debug content checkbox’ ;)
