Tidbit about this song: The lyrics were written by an author for a relatively short manga series also called Soranin (Solanin is a chemical toxin in things such as potatoes) The series is about a working early 20s couple who finished college, the boyfriend working as an illustrator who belongs to a band of friends from college that hasnt made any success, the girlfriend working as a typical "office lady". both are unsatisfied with their lifes and begin to try and head towards a more fun future, the guy trying to write a succesfull song. This is one of the songs he wrote (the only one named and with lyrics). The series leans really heavily towards trying to pursue your dreams even if you fail. Heavy recommendation. For the live action movie (which is good too), AKFG got asked to make a real song out of this, which is played in the movie ( a different version for the movie only has the bass playing the main riff, the rythym guitar and drums being the same, as the band in the series only has 3 members). Light spoiler: the song was mistaken as a break-up song, but is actually meant to be a goodbye song to your own old self.
