I was surprised at how busy the matteson IL JCPenney was despite being all by its lonesome by the torn down Lincoln mall and vacant target. JCP is still viable on a lot of areas. Save the penneys. Always sad to see vacant toys r us stores. I will always be a toys r us kid.

Could it be this is one location that is going to come back as a TRU 2.0? It's a good building for the stores you mentioned. Sorry you could not get inside the store; you could have made an awesome video. What is disappointing is that people would just come in, take the signs and other items and made a fast $$$ off. I consider that disrespecting a once great chain. Maybe it's the curse of Century III The negativity and the sadness and bad vibes of that nearly dead mall is spreading to all those retailers nearby, forcing them to shut down. Crazy idea I know. Well my two stores Syracuse New York and great northern mall Clay New York are both well one is abandoned and the other was turned into some greater outdoor RV store. They’re starting to pop up all over the place now there’s a factory over there on I think England Boulevard next to the Coca-Cola place behind the Dunkin’ Donuts that they built a couple years ago and it got torn down RVs used to be stored in there so I wonder if that RV store to go over that place and is renovating the place for the RVs saying it was an abandoned factory. I think it was the PNC grocery store factory cops never needed it so they abandon it when tops
You know what drives me nuts? The old TrU near my house has had the lights on since the chain shut down. Same thing with the 7-11 that closed almost three years ago. If this waste isn't contributing to climate change, I'll eat my hat.

I had 2 local Toys R Us Stores.One turned in to a Furniture Fair, and one is being constructed into a Bob’s Furniture.
