i hate the c189, i've worked on my buddies extensively, not tough not designed to crash not easy easy to work on and really doesn't fly very well at all. I really appreciate your videos and demonstrates that you really need to know what you're doing to mess with these toy grade birds, not the other way around
I remember that flight. Up up and away! I cant believe you got it back. I ordered the flybarless controller for my MD500 450 today. Since I fly all my helis on my Spektrum I ordered their controller. I also ordered another heli. A Blade Infusion 180. I'm addicted like you my friend. LOL
I've been watching your video productions for some time and you made me want to buy the MD500. I have never had so much fun with this little helicopter compared to the models I tried 20 years ago and more. Bought on Aliexpress about 3 months ago, I haven't faced the problem of losing control.
that's the way to do it I keep telling my buddy for sure you need to have a high-quality hobby grade bird underneath the pretty canopy. high-performance choppers are what you need to have even if you're just trying to scale fly, otherwise you're going crazy trying to figure out toys
Well I tested mine and Maidened it in my garage today without any fly up issues. Seems ok. Took a few Left Trims and Forward Trim Clicks. Then it sat still 30” off the floor. Mine is Robotic on the right Stick Cyclic. Agility is set too high even on Speed 1. Still want to try a Boxer on it. Tune down the Rates. Add Expo. 😊
Observing my new one and others on videos, it seems the FBL has too high of Head Gain on it. Causes robotic jerks on Cyclic moves. Question is, can this be tuned out using a Radiomaster Boxer or TX16S by creating a New Model with 3 Rates and Adjusting Gains?
Thanks for your feedback about this heli. Is it possible to add a S-BUS or DSMX receiver on the FC? Would like to fly this heli with ELRS protocol by example.
I ran the battery to low on my bell 206 and tried taking off in GPS mode and it went on a fly away and I had to toggle the stop button and it came down hard. No damage though , very lucky. Thinking of it later I think once I left the ground it went into return home mode possibly. I know it’s not related to that problem, just letting you know.
I would think the Gimbal on the Cyclic would be causing the jerky action. My Eachine Radio is Terrible in the same way. I’ve seen my E120 flown on a TX16S and it is much improved because you can set the Rates lower and add Expo.
The EC135 flies very smoothly. That heli is always in 6g mode, the only thing you can turn off is optical flow sensor - in that case the heli can fly faster and higher but there’s no full manual mode on that helicopter. The EC135 heli has too small max banking angle in my opinion otherwise it’s a smooth flying machine.
This issue in the flight controller could have really bad consequences and is very unsafe. Imagine you would have tried to fly it in your room when it shot up! I remeber your video with the shocking rocket takeoff into the stratoshere :D . The discribed issue with the robotic cyclic control when if you give very smooth inputs is even worst for me. Especially knowing that you really are a very good and skilled pilot as I have seen in videos with the OMP M2 and other much better performing helis. It's sad that the flightcontroller makes it so difficult to love this good loking heli. Best greetings from Poland!

Can you tell me your favorite brand that best fits these requirements? I fly planes/gliders/F3A and don’t use stabilization if that matters. Thank you so much!

I got two from the new batch. I have no issue with contorl.I would of hit the land button if it happen to me not the stop button. you didnt try that in your video..check my video under brad yates rc rea md500 c189 get to the chopper productions.
new edition (batch) how do you know? where is that? on the box? I ordered on banggood 3 weeks ago. Flown twice...no problems. always Gyro calibrate and also “secret calibration” like Mr. Sturm.😊
@@travisedmiston8001 I haven't had any problems so far. (10 flights) I'm glad things are going well for you too. Important note: Do not fly in mode 1 when it is windy. and I suspect that an empty or defective battery can also be to blame if there are malfunctions.

With the exception of OMP and Goosky, all these RC helicopters are is Chinese junk. They knew that there was something wrong with the flight controller, but they decided to put it out to market anyway. That’s just the way they do business. Flywing, XK, Yuxiang, RC Era etc., I’ve owned and flew them all.
@@AndrejSturm when it comes to business practices, R&D and QC the Chinese are absolutely ruthless. The worst RC helicopter experience I’ve ever had was with Flywing. The stories would blow your mind away. I could write an entire book. I never had any issues with Koyosho, Hirobo, back in the day. Today a quality helicopter is OMP, Goosky, Tron, SAB.

I’m trying to find an adapter plug so I can use my NX8 to fly my flywing helicopters. Hard to find it seems, always out of stock wherever I check.

Mine won't fly after crashing. I fix the rotor blade. The issue is lack of thrust to lift up. Pls help to fix the issue. Thanks

The first thing I did on all of my Flywing helicopters is turning OFF the "low battery RTH", to prevent such unwanted surprises.
