That's cool, a great addition to the truck. If you do have trouble getting it to work I wonder if it would be cheaper to use winch control boards to get all to work. That could all be put in that box. Buying all there radios could get dear.
Well it seems that it will only work with their specific radio. Its £48 from banggood. We shall see if it works. I am rather also fancying the hg p801 8x8 truck. Ideally I want a mammoth but over a £1000. I just cant do that. I keep watching mammoth videos every day.
@@antrc That is not radio not bad for the price. But it means having 2 radio's out with you because the esc I bet will not work with it. The single connection means a multi signal goes down it that's why it will not work a standard radio. But if the radio does not work take all out of it bar the motors and like I said use winch controllers to the motors. Each one will plug into a channel on a radio and all should work. The great thing winch controllers left/right with a off in the middle.
Thanks for the info mal. I assume I just plug an esc or bec into the rx when it arrives. Then plug the crane into the pow socket. There is a special pow port on the rx for the crane. I cannot imagine it will just function. That would be too easy. I will let you know. I will get Andrew to carry the radio on his mc8 lol.
Wow looks great, looking forward for the running video. You might have a trick you can use without an 8 CH radio. You have a DX5C right? Well get a second Spektrum receiver and bind it to the crane as a different model in memory from the MC6. To use the crane switch model (be sure your fail safe is set correctly for the MC6 first!). Might work but it can be awkward to control the crane with a pistol grip radio.
Mhm nope probably not, seems the communication protocol between the receiver and the crane is some proprietary thingy that would require quite some reverse engineering and a micro-controller to let it work with any standard radio. Disappointing :(
Thanks for the message. I am currently waiting for the proper radio gear from banggood. Hopefully it will arrive soon. 🤞 as soon as it does a running video will be uploaded.
Hi there I’ve had mine for about a month and only just got it working today, I have learnt a lot on the way like this will only work with their own 8 channel receiver this will not work with the 16 channel receiver, I have two of the p408 Hummers that come fitted with the 16 channel receivers and sure enough they didn’t work when I tried them, so I got in touch with the company I got it from they have been really helpful and they spoke to the manufacturer who said, it was only compatible with their own 8 channel receiver and controller. My one is fitted to a p902,There transmitters and receivers appear to be unique the truck starts off working conventionally and then ends up with steering and acceleration all off of one joystick. Hope that some of this info is helpful I’m certainly no expert but if I can help in anyway even if that’s just copies of the original trucks manuals please just message me. Good luck keep up the great content
Brilliant thank you very much. I have ordered the specific radio today from banggood. It's the 16 channel joy stick radio and the 8 channel reciever. So what did you do to get it working? Just plug the crane into the pow socket on the reciever? Did you have to set to all the radio functions or did it just work? Thanks.
AnT R/C hi yes had to wait some time for the receiver to arrive in the UK, but once I figured out what order the plug everything in the crane was as simple as plugging into the power port. Everything just worked from there
Ok that's good to know. Trouble I have got is that I do not have a hg p truck. I wonder whether you have to have a truck plugged into the rx for the crane to work. I intend to plug a spare esc or bec into the rx to give it power. Then hopping the crane will work just by plugging it into the pow port.
I received my crane and 16ch transmitter but unfortunately after activating the transmitter and receiver my crane does not respond, what could be the problem? Try to explain. Can connect the transmitter and receiver, so all functions work as well. I connect a servo and it works as it should. The transmitter gives a beep every time I switch, that's a bit strange. An LED flashes in the turning part of the lifting arm, but nothing else happened. I try to get in touch with the supplier but they don't respond. Is there a manual for this YK002 other than supplied, explaining all the functions?
Hi Rien, sorry for the delayed response. I had a lot of issues trying to even get the transmitter and reciever to bind. The instruction manual that comes with the transmitter is really bad. I managed to bind them by watching a youtube video. I did a random search. However, if you have managed to bind them and you are getting no ressponse from the crane, that is strange. I assume you have the servo lead from the crane plugged into the POW channel on the reciever? Other than that, I can only assume that there is something wrong with the crane. I would get in contact with the supplier. I would maybe try to see if you can unbind the radio gear and then re try just in case. Thanks.
Hi there Ivan, sorry for the late reply. This crane is not being used on the M983. It is being used on my MC6. Please if you have time check out the run videos on the channel. Green was the only colour that was available at the time of purchase. Thanks for waching.
My crane has problems with the base rotation where it just started clicking. Took the base apart to look at the plastic gears and found noting broken and reinstalled it. Worked for a little while but then started just making clicking sounds without rotating. Just stumped as to why this is happening and how to fix it.
This is going to look truly amazing looking forward to seeing it all in working action 👍
T this thing looks awesome. Really looking forward to seeing this working.
Amazing. Thanks for review
Glad you liked it

Too late Mal, Tel's already been at the piggyback again I fear. A

If the first option fails mal I may be picking your brains as I really want it to work.

AnT R/C after the children’s bedtime I’ll have a look and see what I can figure out for you
You are a star. Cheers.
Awesome :)
Yeah it's a pretty good bit of kit. A bit slow in operation - scale maybe - but looks and weight-wise it hits the spot
Is there a desert yellow color?
Haven't seen one mate, keep your eye on Banggood etc.

Well, most p802 (M983-tractor) are in khaki color. Why green color for the crane?
That's how they come new, but HG's trucks are also green so maybe that is why.

Yeah, tricky. We haven't had ours to bits yet. If was a drive train issue I'd say a pinion may be loose.
Wonderful little crane but sadly enough sooo sloooow that it can't be used .
Yes it is far more a prop than a tool. Hopefully any v2 of it will have decent motors.
its been over 9 hrs is it working yet?
😂 sadly not no. Waiting for the transmitter. China post
@@antrc watching with baited breath, would love to see it, I want one on my 10x10
Wrong colour
It is the colour it came in, so 🤷♂️
