The drawing is absolutely amazing ofcourse, but you know what's even better? The story you told. Really touching. You don't seem like that big of a selfish person to me.
Thanks for making me smile every time Will, and please, never stop making videos cause you are definitely the best art channel on youtube :)

Ive had the worst artist block this last couple months but I had a commission I had to do tonight. So I turned your videos on and put it on shuffle and listened to some inspiring words to keep me going to finish the piece. So thank you for inspiring and help full words! You have honestly opened my eyes and have made me see art for more than just a hobby.

I discovered your videos about a year ago, when I was in high school, and I am so glad I did. I didn't actually have an official art class dedicated towards drawing until I started going to the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. I consider you one of my first teachers. You may not have been guiding through a 5hr drawing class, but your advice on drawing and life in general was invaluable. You helped me realize so much about improving as an artist and how to stay positive even though it doesn't feel like I am improving. I love listening to you commentary as you draw when I am working on stuff for class. I really appreciate being able to see your sketchbooks and your process. Thank you so much, Will Terrell! I love your art and I can't wait to see more of your content!

From my perspective what you've done is you've romantacized being artist as a way of life, as an expression of not just one's artistic abilities, but as an expression of one's character as well. In your videos you often reference a sense of community among artists through helping and befriending them, sharing experiences with the people around you, how you were once prideful and refused to grow until you realized what was most important and essential to being a decent person, which in turn bettered yourself as an artist. And especially to me I enjoy how you carry alot of positivity and friendliness when showing people how to become better artists, and how you remind us why we love to draw in the first place. Perhaps it's a contrast to the intense environment and the high standards of the art industry and how everything seems to be moving towards fierce competition and bitter rivalries. At least from my experience as an art school student.

Another great video, thanks for sharing. I'm 26 years old and a lot of the stuff you've talked about in this video and other videos, I've actually been in a process of changing as well for the past couple of years. Figuring out the correct outlook on life for myself has definitely helped me overcome a lot of the issues I've struggled with, especially depression. Sometimes I'm having a not so great day and I'm feeling a bit lost in the haze of that depressive cloud, I stumble on one of your videos and its helps me remember what I already know deep down, gives me that little slap in the head saying "wake up!". So thank you for that! What comes from the heart, reaches the heart!

I picture a bunch of little ones following you around wearing caps and beards! lol Congrats on all the subscriptions. That's awesome. I for one subscribed because you're so talented but also because you are very real and honest. I enjoy videos like this where you talk about life and give us all inspiration to be better artists and better people. Thank you for this channel. Don't change things too much, we all watch and think your amazing just the way you are. I like the morning gratitude list idea too. I've thought about why what you say stick so much for me, and what i found out is the big difference between you and other ppl I go to for knowlege is that you always make me feel good afterwards.
My whole life I bought books, talked to ppl, tried to learn "the secret of being a good artist" and it never worked. Infact I always feel worse of and more confused after going trough tutorials and what not, I feel like what I do is worthless compared, and I can try to copy, what they do, but it's just a worthless copy. I never been inspired to try to work on my techniques, and to learn outside of trying to draw a finished drawing from scratch to finish. Your videos make me wanna forget everything and just paractice, damn if it looks good or not. They make me wanna expierience it instead of just dreaming of how good of an result I can get.
    Thank you!

That bit about vulnerability and magnetism is really applicable to people and relationships.
I feel like the more you open yourself up to others, like really earnestly and sincerely create that kind of atmosphere, then they will feel more comfortable and ready to open up as well, or at least appreciate the gesture.
Gah, well anyway, your videos are good life-lesson material. Thanks for uploading (and sharing)!

I just lost my job, and it's the first job I was really taking seriously. Though I didn't take it seriously. I told the universe I would go to work every day and do my hardest but I stopped going to work every day because of my own shortcomings.

I'm so in awe of these sketch books, you're really diverse in your style and approach to drawing. Recently I finished a moleskine in just under 2 weeks and I just felt like I was on top of the world because previously it would take me about a year to finish a sketchbook. I'm so committed to drawing now and I've been doing people sketching for 2 weeks now too because of you. It's my new favourite thing to do and I can't thank you enough for inspiring me! This story makes me think of a few years back in school, I had to switch buildings and I didn't know anyone there. I became arrogant because I felt like I was better than everyone there. So I had no friends, I did no homework and I just waited to go home again every day, which was pretty depressing (but of course, my own fault). I managed to keep it up for half a year until my parents talked to the teachers about my grades, and they weren't, well.. all that bad, but they certainly weren't the best, because I simply didn't do anything or speak to anyone or whatever. So my father got mad at me and I began to realize that this school could give me so much, if I would do the same for them.
My dad told me, not completely serious but still as a statement: "You know what I think you should do? I think you owe an apology to every single teacher in school." And I thought about it and then took it serious, made a list with all the teachers' names and I began randomly apologizing, like explaining what I did wrong (it was a different story for every class) and what I would do right from now on.
And I just felt the gratitude from their side, and then from myself whenever I got into class, and I started working again, got very supportive friends and improved my drawing skills every day. And thankfully, I made it through that year and it helped me a lot to get further in life.
Now I'm just very grateful for what that school gave me :)

I'm glad you've been having a good experience with the white gel pen, I bought the same exact one and it feels like it gets clogged every time I try to use it. I generally have to scribble on my hand a little to get it going.
    Anywho, great video, Will!

Thanks for being vulnerable and sharing the things you have learned/been taught. It takes a lot of courage to be yourself. :-)

So Will Terrel used to be a grumpy ungrateful egotist. You'd never know it. He tells you how he changed into a generous and grateful person while laughing and showing how to make hilarious drawings. Thank you Will. I think your getting the idea of just how many people you help and inspire.

Thanks for another great video, you allways manage to cheer me up when I'm feeling down. I think you should do a live people sketching episode, then you could interact with your fans and answer questions :)
