  • The story of the nativity is actually a blend of both the gospels of Luke and Matthew. They reveal the significance of the gifts carried by the three kings, as well as clues to their origins and symbolism.

These gifts are of significant purpose, because of their value they were going to be needed as safe hiding from King Herod and passage back it was extremely dangerous for Joseph, Mary and Jesus...Jesus was being hunted! "The sign of the invisible heaven must needs be revealed in the person of that perfect man who, before each Manifestation appeareth, educateth, and prepareth the souls of men for the advent of the divine Luminary, the Light of the unity of God amongst men." - Baha’u’llah, The Book of Certitude

Funny how we only spread the symbolism as far as we understand it. As an aspiring astrologer i see the 3 kings as the 3 stars on Orion belt that seem to follow the northern start every Christmas towards the sun. Next Christmas go look up during early sun rise! Watch the 3 kings follow a bright star leading them seemingly in to the sun. And The gifts being very symbolic of giving what is needed in life thru to death. After learning ancient astrology the bible reads like a different book. It reads more like Stories of what happends while/when the Sun goes through Galilee...the wheel.

The simple reason Luke and Matthew differ is because both refer to events of different years. Luke referenced the birth of Jesus titled Christ. The shepherds came the night Christ was born. It was a year later when the Magi came, because the baby boys killed by Herod were "two years old or less". In other words, Matthew indicated the star the Magi had seen, appeared from a year before.

At 0:06, this Smithsonian video makes a deliberately misleading statement, "But Matthew tells a very different story," implying that the account of Matthew contradicts that of Luke's account (of shepherds in the field). There is no contradiction; the two accounts are of two separate events: the Nativity, and the arrival of the kings from the east, months later. Neither the accounts of Luke or Matthew conflate or juxtapose these two separate events. Now unprofessional of Smithsonian.

They went back to where they came from. They did not live there, nor did they want to. That is why they went back home. It would be no different than for you to go to Disneyland in California, say, and then you go back home. Why would you want to stay and live there. Your life/job, and all your relatives and friends are back home. As far as why they didn't go back, that was 33 years later, and many of them, or all, could have died. Or they could have been too old to travel. It was hundreds of miles from their homes.

without assumptions, it is widely accepted not every account was written in the compiled scriptures making up the Bible. What remains recorded were apparently so due to the direct link they had to explain certain events. So, they might have returned or might not have ever returned, but then we have no record of that. Their return was necessary considering they simply explored for the reason to come worship one whose star they saw. Seeing him and the dream they had not to report back to Herod was enough reason to have news to share back at home with friends and family members they left at home.

They’re not Persians. Nor were they Iranians/Parthians. Zoroastrianism doesn’t believe in Jesus. However, it does preach belief in a messiah figure called the Saoshyant who will renovate the world & perfect it but this figure is prophesied to come from the blood/seed of Zoroaster and Jesus was Jewish, not Indo-Iranian.
The Bible does say they are kings. They came from the Orient/Far East (which the Bible refers to as “the ends of the earth), specifically the Philippines (which the Bible refers to as “the isles” or “Ophir, Sheba and Tarshish,” the 3 main islands. They were Hebrews, sons of Joktan (from the line of Eber, Salah, Arpachshad, Shem) who came back to their homeland to pay homage to their Messiah.
Read Psalm 72 KJV and you’ll find the answer.
...8 He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth. 9 They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust. 10 The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba shall offer gifts...”
Why the Massacre of the Innocents (2 year olds)? Because Yahusha Jesus was already 2 when they finally arrived.
They came by way of the ships of Tarshish. They traveled by sea for the first leg of the journey, which takes a year and a half from the isles to the port in Ezion-Geber. From there they rode camels and traveled by land.
This is the same route that the Queen of Sheba took when she journeyed from Sheba to visit Solomon and gave him gold to build the temple.

Because they started to travel once they heard about king being born. I dont know why chruch wants us to believe they were there at Christ birth. . Anyways it took them very much time to find him. I mean location where he was. But later on in New Testament why then Holy Spirit didint allow to apostoles to spread God word there. So they were either from Africa or Persia. Or which kingdom at that time was strong.

The Wise men were first mentioned in Daniel 2 wherein their necks were saved by Daniel by interpreting the forgotten dream of Nebuchadnezzar during his 2nd year as King of Babylon. The golden i,mage that Nebuchadnezzar dreamed was the Timeline of the Times of the Gentile dominion over the holy site of in Jerusalem. Babylon captured Jerusalem in 597 BC but the rise of Nebuchadneesar was 11 years earlier in 618 BC. The total Gentile Dominion over Jerusalem will be 66 times 40 years or 2640 years. The Gentile Dominion will end on December 11, 2023 before the start of the Millennium Reign of Christ Jesus.
On October 24, 620 BC, there was this triple conjunction of Jupiter with Regulus and the Magi attributed this great conjunctions to Nebuchadnezzar. After Daniel saved the Magi, Daniel became the head of the Magis. Maybe, Daniel corrected their interpreation of the Jupiter-Regulus triple conjunction to the coming of the Messiah. After 12 years, the 2nd part of the triple conjunction of Jupiter came on September 22, 608 BC and the dream of Nebuchadnezzar was in 603 BC. This was the 40th two-part conjunctions and Daniel gave them another 7 more conjunction before the Messiah will be born. The 47th part 1 was on October 5, 15 BC and the part 2 was on September 14, 3 BC, three days after Jesus was born and 600 years after Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. The 2nd conjunction was on February 17, 2 BC and 3rd conjunction was on May 9, 2 BC. On August 31, 2 BC, Tishri 1, at Jesus 1st birthday, the Magi left the Persian court where they work as astrologers and King's adviser and took a 112-day or 16 Sabbaths caravan journey to Jerusalem. They arrived in Jerusalem at the start of the Festival of Light, Hanukkah on December 23rd, 2 BC. They were invited to Herod's Palace on December 24, 2 BC. On the first Christmas, the Magis presented their gifts of gold for wealth, myrrh for good health and frankincense for offering to Yahweh to the First Family. At this time, Jesus was already one year and 3 months old. They dressed up like Magi and escaped to Egypt at their caravan on December 26th. On December 28, 2 BC, on the New Moon, was the killing of all 2 year and under kids in Bethlehem, from the rising of Jupiter at sunrise on on July 20, 3 BC. Unto this day, December 28 is called Ninos Inocentes.
On December 24th, 2 BC, the rising of Jupiter in the east was at 10:15 pm and the Magi saw its rising and they were glad as they step outside the palace of Herod. By 5 AM, Jupiter was on its peak mid-point in the sky and it started to go to southwest position. By the dawn of sunrise at 5:30 AM, Jupiter started to go down towards the south-west direction and if you plot its position to the horizon, it points directly to the Bethlehem area where Jesus was born. It was the first Christmas on December 25, 2 BC.
As a young man born of fornication, Jesus Bar Mitzvah was at 12 year old, like the Jewish girls today. When it was the turn of the kids from Bethlehem were called, he was all alone. And yet, even while alone with the scribes and Pharisees, Jesus got lots of questions to them. He was not like John the Baptist who was born with the holy spirit already on him, so as a young boy of body and soul, he was allowed to ask question at the time of Bar Mitzvah. This was how the Levites in the Temple knew that this was the boy that the killing of two-year olds was done in Bethlehem at Hanukkah 2 BC. Jesus was all alone but still his parents got tired waiting for him and eventually, they were carried with their religious obligations and they had forgotten who was taking care of Jesus.

What might be more important to realize, is that frankincense and myrrh are potent, naturopathic medicine. The wise men, were drawn to, what indians consider a brahmin. His ascribed miracles, are that of a priest of old: a healer, astronomer, arbitrator, a memory the autocratic Romans erased. Hence the dark ages.

The three wise men were buddhist monks from Tibet area (way east), looking for the next "dalai lama". The items they brought are typical of buddhist praying. They were philosophical therefore appeared very wise. You never see three kings traveling together. Only one king for one kingdom. And kings would not make that kind of trip to anoint an unknown child, they would send people. Jesus then learned from the monks, hence his teachings are closer to buddhist teachings than judaism. And maybe, just maybe, the red robe of jesus is the same as those of the Tibetan monks'

No it wasn't. This being the Eastern Roman Empire at the time the language used to describe it in the texts is ancient Greek (Ptolemaic) is "ινδικό κύπειρο." Which means Indian (Hindi) Cypress. It was never referred to as gold beyond anecdotal accounts of it being described as being gold in color. Not in comparison.

The wise men undoubtedly were Ethiopians because Ethiopians were the only people who accepted the Old Testament way earlier than birth of the Christ. It was the time most people in the world were idolatry. In fact there was idolatry in Ethiopia too, but most dominantly Ethiopians would believe in God and would worship him in adherence with Torah(mosaic law). And who else do you think could they be? Egyptians? Indians? Chinese? Romans? Persians? Arabians? Or who? All of these were idolatry back then, but Ethiopians have a long history of worshiping God. Even the ancient Old Testament temples do still exist today; in fact some of them have been transformed to the New Testament Churches for example we can mention Axum Zion of Saint Mary Church which is believed to be where Ark of the covenant dwells in.
Furthermore, Ethiopia or East Africa is where there is abundance of frankincense, Myrrh and Gold. Especially frankincense is what Ethiopians still use in their day to day life. It is also a present every one gives especially to churches.
    Psalm 68:31
Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God.

This video excerpt is interesting, but still misrepresents & misinforms. Like Frankincense, Myrrh isn't an herb; maybe there are varieties extracted or cultivated from herbal species, but they would be mislabeled since genuine products are actually derived from tree resins, such as, respectively, the Boswellia & Commiphora genera. The entomology is also dubious & during that era they would not be called such since "Frankincense" is an European derivation (likely altered through the Bible's history & interpretation); the English word Frankincense derives from the Old French expression '"franc encens", meaning "high-quality incense". The word franc in Old French meant "noble" or "pure", I believe the vid alludes to that. Also, in the vid the items presented as Frankincense & Myrrh were obviously processed since using dye for coloration that provides further appeal for market; chemical additives in processing is a prevalent issue, maybe at times benign but can be deceptive & harmful, especially in food.

Luke does not tell a “very different story” (presumedly implying non-truths). In contrast to the stable in which Jesus was born (Luke 2), Jesus’ family now lived in a house. This shows that the magi visited Jesus after the visit of the shepherds described by Luke.

The bible says that a sacrifice is a sweet smelling aroma to God and without blood there can be no forgiveness of sin. When Jesus was born, the Maggi brought him Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh. These last two are taken by injuring a tree and using the sap that oozes. In the same way Jesus was beaten beyond recognition. He was bruised and His blood that was spilled is the seal of a new covenant in which God will forgive men their many sins. In order for men to be able to live forever, God instituted a law and anyone who broke the law should be put to death. God cannot go back on his law. So, how does a loving God show mercy to his creation? He punishes one for the sins of many and thereby whoever takes on the name of Jesus has already been punished for his sins. The sacrifice that Jesus went through on our behalf was done on His own free will. This is the proof oh how much He loves us and does not wish for any to perish but have eternal life. His sacrifice, like Frankincense and Myrrh is a sweet smelling aroma to God.
