I think Marc's including Verlander as much as possible just to call him a fine wine
True but he definitely deserves to make this list
Nate Wolfe naw Tyler Alabama Skaggs does
And cause Verlander is better than everyone on this list
Adam Wainwright at least honorable mention
Brent 4 I know wainwright should’ve been an honorable mention along with Jon Lester.
Only had 3 good seasons the entire decades. Would've made it without the injuries though.
Arguably the 2nd best pitcher in the league from around 2009-2014
As a Cubs fan, i agree
Think he could be argued to be better than Cueto for the decade.
it’s crazy to think that kershaw really could be the greatest pitcher ever if he was great in october
Honestly if he was good in the playoffs he'd easily be regarded as at least one of the top 3 of all time. Guess he'll just have to settle for like top 5 lmao
Not even great at least just decent
@@abelvidales5874 yeah like a 3.50 ERA even
He still has time to bring it down with how good the dodgers are gonna be until he retire tho
Everyone who talks about him being bad it the postseason is clearly not a baseball fan it is so tuff to pitch in that kind of pressure and he wasn’t even that bad also say like going into the hof they don’t take postseason it to perspective because not all players make the postseason so he is easily one of the greatest pitchers of all time
Fine Wine gonna be on the top ten without even watching this.
Well no duh
He’s In the thumbnail
Damn right
Prediction: Marc will say verlander is like a fine wine
When you don’t put one clip of degrom with his long hair
Because when he lost the hair he gained the super powers
Do the fastest player from each team
Jacob Mahn good idea
The slowest from each team
kiermaier
Jacob Mahn what about the fatest
Ocasio-Cortez4prez2022 being fast doesn’t necessarily equal being able to steal bases.
Felix should’ve had 2 Cy young’s this decade. Can’t be left out
He should have won in 2014
Putting Johnny Cueto in front of him is straight up disrespectful
Because Yeah like a five era or six the last 3 years and pitching is so loaded
But he is a 11 spot
If you make a hoodie saying “ he’s like a fine wine “ and you have Justin Verlander I will buy one from you
Reds fan here: I clicked on this video just to see if Cueto made it ... didn’t take long to answer my question ... where would reds be if they signed cueto and not Bailey?smh
I am a giants fan and I clicked on this video to see if Cueto was here
When you think about 2014 Reds. All those amazing player in their prime. Phillis. Cueto, Chapman. Votto. Not a Red fan but it was my first year with the MLB package and i watch lot of the game. A really fun team.
Note Cueto's numbers tht season could be best pitchers season in Reds history.
Not quite top 10 guys, but good honorable mentions:
Jon Lester
Adam Wianwright
Matt Cain
Jose Fernandez
C.C Sabathia
Gio Gonzalez
Anibal Sanchez
Zack Haselius and bartolo colon
I would add Porcello
Alexander Sandoval you would add Rick Porcello? The guy that has exactly two seasons of below 4 ERA thie decade?
Alexander Sandoval I mean, maybe if he didn’t become absolute trash this year. Every time seeing him on the mound as a Sox fan was painful.
Zack Haselius yeah he only was good in 2016, which was the year he won the Cy Young Award. He went 22-4 with a 3.15 ERA. While he had his best year and definitely was good, I think Justin Verlander deserved it more. The only thing Verlander didn’t do was win as many games. In every other category he was better than Porcello.
Kershaw has the lowest starter ERA of the live ball era which covers A TON of ground. Top 10 ever and easily 1 on here.
Sad Brewers Fan did you look at his ERA IN THE PLAYOFFS THO? KErRCHOKE!!!
Adonnis Colindres even if you include his playoff era in his total stats, he STILL has the lowest era of the 2010s
He would be the goat If not for Pedro Martinez
DM56488 kershaw is better than martinez....
Calling it, Marc says Justin Verlander is like a fine wine
FINALLY SOME RESPECT FOR MY MANS KERSH
Jack Prendergast lol
Ummmm nlds game five, 2 pitches, 2 home runs...... wow.
So you’re gonna base his skill off of 2 pitches in an inning?
Without watching Marc's gonna say Verlander's like a fine wine
Ur not wrong LMAO
Nope doesn’t say it
Ravinder Nandikanti yes he does 😂
Matt Lower when
Never mind found it
Marc: "He is without a doubt the best pitcher of the 2010's, I will not allow anyone to argue with me on that one"
Also Marc: Argue with me below
8:07 anyone notice how there’s a clip of bumgarner striking out bartolo
that's how good he is
nwolfemets do you mean 8:07
Yes I do no idea how I got 12:27
Ha
If Jose Fernandez was alive bro probably would be at least an honorable mention
kershaw and bumgarner have been the best pitchers in the last decade, the mileage they both have on their arms is insane
Regular Ker and Postseason Bum
@@ejayliao00 lol i used to think of that put the two together and its unstoppable
Daniel Franco if only Kershaw pitches like Postseason Bumgarner
I am a giants fan and I think kershaw is good in the regular season but mad bum is better in the postseason
Scott Anderson well yea obviously, can’t compare kershaw to the best postseason pitcher of all time 😂😂
1- Kershaw
2- Scherzer
3- Verlander
4- Bumgarner
5- Sale
6- DeGrom
7- Cole
8- Lester
9- Cueto
10- Price
Kershaw down imo. I mean you need you pitchers the most in the postseason. And that is where he lets his team down every time. Good list
Yea hes bad in postseason but this year hes not doing so bad
marc has the same exact argument i have for #1 i literally sound along the lines of what he said for clayton kershaw 😂
Loss angeLes dodgers
You should rank the World Series winners of the 2010’s
I love your shirt bro! Showing some Cali love to go along with Kershaw.
Kersh is just missing that ring 😭😭
@@clevelandfan24 lol
Clayton. Kershaw.
Sam Scherer ok
Post. Season
Kershaw has had a few fantastic postseason games. At least he has a world series win...
Sam Scherer who?
Great video 👍🏼
Love the list! Only change I would make is Verlander to #3, and Mad Bum to #5.
Imagine if The freak stayed healthy his whole career 😳
Great content as always!!!
This list was on point marc!
Tim Lincecum as a honorable mention
Oh ya, he was one I almost forgot about also, for about 4 years he was like top 3 with a few CY's...longer stretch than Degrom has done these last few years
And had 2 no hitters
Wait A Second where’s Nolan Ryan I swear his million year career is still going on?
Alex IsTired him and Jamie Moyer.
@Ocasio-Cortez4prez2022 couple years ago he threw the first pitch at like 91 or something
Great video enjoy I really enjoy watching your channel
Solid list. Love the In-N-Out t-shirt.
Top pitchers who choke in the playoffs
1. Kershaw
2. Verlander
Verlander chokes in the World Series but in the rest of the playoffs he is pretty good.
Alex Shim Wrong. Verlander only chokes in the World Series. He’s actually 14-5 with a 2.83 ERA outside of the World Series, which is pretty damn good. But also don’t forget he big won a World Series In 2017. Kershaw, on the other hand just sucks all around in the playoffs.
And JV has a ring.😉
Water Kershaw is actually good in the playoffs despite popular belief. In the pre-Dave Roberts day, Kershaw would only allow 1-2 runs until the seventh inning. He was just left in for too long which caused his ERA to sky rocket whenever he gave up a seventh inning home run. He has just been overused in the years 2013-2016. In 2017 he had really good games however he a really bad game where he gave up a four run lead in the WS but overall he was pretty good that year. In 2018 he did decent. He didn’t dominate or do bad he just did decent. In 2019, he absolutely choked and there is no excuse. I just think that people poke fun at Kershaw in his prime years when they must realize that the guy led the league in innings pitched and he was pitching until the 7th inning. Kershaw wouldn’t be taken out whenever it was apparent that he was based and he would give up a homerun that tied or gave up the lead.
Michael Lepe kershaw has had good games in the postseason, but when it comes down to it he sucks ass and gives up game defining hits. If he didn’t give up those hits I guarantee he’d have a ring by now
Great video bro.
U nailed that list
Do players that had amazing years then next season they were bad. Hey, keep up your good work!
Honestly this is the only baseball related top ten list I have seen that I completely agree with
Who else is rewatching this after Marc uploaded the top 10 first basemen of the 2010’s
Me
me
I thought you were gonna put sale as an honorable mention.
But when I heard up to 6 I said, nope he is not even in this vid
But 4!! Thx Marc
This was a great video idea can’t wait to see the rest of the positions (Donaldson and Bautista better be in top 10 in there respective positions)
Just subscribed 💪🏽🔥
Marc: I'm going to bump Bumgarner up to #3 because of his postseason success.
Also Marc: Kershaw is obviously #1
Banger after banger after banger🔥🔥🔥
Describing the Astros on the bench or these videos?
MadBum/Verlander really should’ve been 1 and 2 imo. Dominant and extremely big players in their roles. Yes Scherzer and Kershaw were and are great, but MadBum and JV are just cemented as untouchable legends.
Verlander chokes in the Series. Mad Max is clearly a better pitcher
@@Squall576582 if we’re being fair
Verlander is a very good postseason pitcher with some fantastic stretches and moments that can’t be ignored.
Like 2012, even though him in game 1 of the World Series is remembered as being the Pablo Sandoval game.
He still went 3-0 with a 0.75 ERA in that AL playoffs to lead the tigers to the World Series.
And the next year in 2013 he had a 0.39 ERA in the post season and his tigers were 2 games away from going to the World Series again.
Or we’re he went 2-0 in the ALCS with a 0.56 ERA against the Yankees in 2017 including that 7 inning shutout in game 6 forcing a game 7 leading to the Astros championship.
@@bondsgoat25 maybe his Alcs stats are good but he’s lost all his World Series starts
@@maxwall2512 sure but wins can be misleading as remember
Even if ur pitching a good game and the score is tied, even if it’s 0-0, if ur team scores the winning run after your taken out then the reliever will get the win not the starter, which sucks cuz the starter did the heavy lifting,
such as max scherzer earlier this year who pitched like 7+ shutout innings against the cardinals but unfortunately the Mets put up zero runs and after he got taken out they finally score and the reliever got the dub even though scherzer clearly won that game for the Mets.
I figured Lester would be an honorable mention
Totally agree with #1!! Huge Dodgers fan (me and my dad) and my dad and I are HUGE Clayton Kershaw fans!!
im so happy you included kluber
Great video please do all positions
I like how you added Bartolo Colon striking out because he is such a great hitter
You could be a millionaire if you made "fine wine" merch
Marc's trolling with the #1 pick, do not take the bait. Excellent poker face, Marc.
adam wainwright?!
dude was rock solid from 2010-2017
then pretty good from 2017 to now
ur joking right? had 3 good seasons this decade and the rest pretty trash, makes sense since he’s old
Says playoff performances boost bumgarner to 3 and then has Kershaw number 1
Kershaw has the regular season though. Not a great postseason pitcher but he's been by far the greatest in the regular season
The ultimate pitcher will be regular season kersh and postseason bum 🔥
@@unclerico5751 stop. The man doesn't exist. Don't give us hope
What are your thoughts on the Padres new uniforms?
I also think maybe Roy Halliday but he maybe didn't play enough R.I.P Roy
Can you imagine having Scherzer and Verlander on the same team and not winning the World Series? That'd be insane! I'm gonna go cry now.
Detroit Fan?
@@luislimon427 yup lol
1. Clayton Kershaw
2. Max Scherzer
3. Justin Verlander
4. Chris Sale
5. Jacob DeGrom
6. Craig Kimbrel
7. Yu Darvish
8. Aroldis Chapman
9. Zack Grienke
10. David Price
Just my personal list.
Not much to argue with this. Good ranking.
It’s test Tuesday Marc!!!!!!
The real list
1. Bartolo
2. Bartolo
3. Bartolo
4. Bartolo
5. Bartolo
6. Bartolo
7. Bartolo
8. Bartolo
9. Bartolo
10. Bartolo
Video Suggestion : Greatest pitchers to never win Cy Young award!!!
Btw im new here and like your material. Thanks man!
Who would more likely win the AL Cy Young Award between Cole and Verlander?
Like=Justin Verlander
Response=Probably Gerrit Cole
Adam Wainwright?????? honorable mention
At one point the Detroit tigers had 3 of these guys in their rotation at the same time. Including triple crown winner Miguel Cabrera and still couldn’t win a WS. Verlander, Scherzer, and Price
Got swept
Without looking at the vid. My personal top 10 (regular season) would be
1. Kershaw
2. Scherzer
3. Verlander
4. Sale
5. DeGrom
6. Bumgarner
7. Kluber
8.Greinke
9. Wainwright
10. Stras
Just my opinion ofc
Edit: I’m surprised how similar our lists are 😂.
Marc for my upcoming fantasy baseball draft who would you draft first in the late rounds Joey votto or tommy la stella?
This was perfect
Jacob Degrom should be a little higher
A couple pitchers you missed:
1. Adam Wainwright
2. Jon Lester
3. Jake Arrieta
4. Dallas Keuchel
5. Jered Weaver
6. CC Sabathia
I might be missing some
How the f is Kluber ranked better than Greinke?
Water 2 cy young’s for climber while greinke’s was in 2009 clearly stated at the beginning of the video that prior years doesn’t count.
@@awesomesauce4144 greinke has been good almost every year except 2016 whatchu talking about
You gotta have Lester in the top 10 when talking about postseason credit as well.
10. Degrom
9. Price
8. Lester
7. Strasburg
6. Grienke
5. Bumgarner
4. Sale
3. Verlander
2. Kershaw
1. Mad Max
What made you rank Mad Max over Kershaw?
Me personally I would have liked to see Aaron Nola, Noah Syndergaard, and Walker Behuler as honorable mentions.
I still marvel at the thought that JV and Scherzer were on the same team
love the shirt
Do top 5 pitchers of each year of the decade
Jon Lester deserves at least an honorable mention
Adam wainwright???
Good job.
The Freak should also be in honorables.
Oh I completely forgot about Lincecum! Dude was great in his primes.
Jon Lester needs to be on the list, at least an honorable mention
I SWEAR if Big sexy is not on this list I’m unsubscribing
Look at the degrom highlights the Mets never scored 😂😂
Im going to guess Kershaw, Verlander, Scherzer, Greinke, Sale, DeGrom, Felix Hernandez, Kluber, Price, and Sabathia will be on this list. Keuchel, Wainwright, Porcello, and Arrieta as honorable mentions.
Edit: I completely forgot about Strasburg. MadBum I left off because i didn't think we were counting postseason performance.
Alexander Sandoval yikes.
Strasburg did not play enough games
Adiv Goldberg he pitched more games than Jacob Degrom
Pitched more then degrom
Adiv Goldberg Strasburg is injury prone, but when he’s healthy he’s as good as anyone else on this list. His numbers speak for themselves.
My Top 5
1.Mr Postseason blow
2.Mad Max
3.The fine Wine
4.Girl from Sanfran
5.A Ship is saleing
Sale is 3rd for me pretty easily, if I could pick any pitching stat to be the all time leader in k/w's is a nice one
I think it was a great list but Lincecum and Wainwright should be a honourable mention.
Marc was obviously not counting Kershaw's postseason performance in this but I gotta agree, he's been the most dominant regular season pitcher of this decade
I would love to see this for the 2000's as well. (I would like to see where Mark Buehrle falls in this list)
I feel like Mad Max Probably should have taken number one, but I’m a biased nats fan.
Kershaw's numbers are so far superior to max. Still love that crazy dude
Jacob Rowan congrats on your team getting a title man. Happy for the Nationals.
I would have to agree. Although it would be a tough one for me. I have to say Verlander takes the number 1 spot, and Scherzer is 2. But still a tough decision, nonetheless
mmmmmmtoesmmmmmmm yeah in regular season nobody comes close, but he can’t deliver in the playoffs, unlike Verlander and Scherzer who have pitched very well.
@@eastwest42286 Verlander was terrible in the world series as has always been. He is just OK in the playoffs. Scherzer is just ok in the playoffs so it doesn't boost his ranking like Madbums insanity in October does
I don’t care about the Red Sox unless the Indians are playing against them in the postseason, but I really want to see Chris Sale turn himself back around after 2019.
what about roy halladay the dude was a monster and should at least be on the list if not top 5
I feel kinda bad for kershaw when he pitches in the playoffs. He just cannot do well there and I’m really not sure why, since he’s such a good pitcher overall. I feel like Giants fans may be able to rub it into the Dodgers faces that they had an amazing playoff pitcher in bumgarner who led them to 3 World Series whereas kershaw arguably has been a reason why the dodgers haven’t won yet. Hopefully kershaw can get over his playoff demons to show everyone that that is not who he is
-A Cubs fan
Kyle Hendricks is so incredibly underrated. He should at least be an honorable mention, even though he only debuted in 2014. deGrom debuted in 2014 as well and I agree that he deserves to be on the list but Hendricks should be an honorable mention. He’s not as flashy as deGrom but his era is just barely over 3 in 6 seasons, which is incredibly good, and somehow he still has no awards or recognitions to show for it.
Imagine if Marc didn’t put Bartolo Colon at number 1
Verlander should have been number 3. He is one of the only pitchers who has more or less kept his velocity and nasty movement, so deserves to at least be higher than Sale.
Great list but I would have to add CC Sabathia but other than that I really can’t argue
I’d take Kershaw off the number one simply based off his post season performance...but that’s my opinion. If we’re talking regular season only, then yes he’s easily #1
Can we all realize how stupid the tigers are ( Verlander, Scherzer)
ViralWGM stupid how?
