Hi there! You may apply as a parent of Canadian citizen when they turn 18. Before that, you might want to look into other immigration programs like Express Entry.

Hello, First of all, thank you for the nice content and videos. I wonder if there has been an update on the next of kin? For example; Can an aunt who is a Canadian citizen become a sponsor?
Hi there. I would need to clarify that this particular program is NOT a sponsorship. If you have close relatives who are Canadian residents or citizens and you apply through this program, your relatives do it carry any financial obligations towards you while you’re in Canada, as opposed to sponsorship. In terms of your aunt, unfortunately, for this program aunts and uncles or cousins are not considered qualifying relatives. Do you have other family members in Canada?

I am Ukranian citizenship and my husband has Ukranian permanent residence, my parents in law have Canadian permanent residence, is it possible to apply under this program to get Canadian permanent?I saw that parents qualify and what about parents in law?
Hi there. Your case has several technicalities that are not on the surface. First, the program is aimed for Ukrainian citizens. Which you are, but your husband is not. Second, Canadian family members list do not include in-laws. So if you’re looking black and white, your case won’t qualify for this program. But I would still suggest to address it with immigration specialist or lawyers who have experience working on cases like yours which are not straight forwards Good luck! And let us know how it goes for you!
Hi. My girlfriend is a ukrainian citizen with a canadian PR. Her younger sister (16 Yrs Old - Minor) is coming to Canada on a study permit. Can a minor apply under this program?
Hi there. One of the requirements for PR application is age - the main applicant needs to be at least 18 years old. So in your case, your girlfriend's sister can't apply as a main applicant. One of the ways for her to apply is through another applicant, for example, her parents.
