But I never thought I needed to comment, upon watching this video and seeing how this is indeed a milestone in your life and indeed an emotional one I am moved to congratulate you. I, as a person love to be free, I love travelling alot and I have done this with our Nigerian passport and I do know the many challenges that comes along with travelling with a green passport. So yes I can imagine the joy and the excitement of having a blue passport and not having to face the many stress of visa applications. Go girl, you are a free bird, explore the whole world and the many opportunities that come with it.

Wow congrats. I applied April 29, 2023 and got my test invitation within home month and did my test this morning. I also did my fingerprint as I got that invitation too. Hopefully I get my citizenship soon

Congratulations. Wow your processing was very fast trust me. I applied since Nov 2021 and we didn't do our ceremony until May 16th 2023, Although it was originally scheduled for 25th April but got canceled due to the PSAC strike.
@@billie. the law is if you are married to a us citizen you can apply for a citizenship after 3 years of being together. But if you're not married to a us citizen you have to stay/be in America for at least 5 yrs upward before applying for a us citizenship. I applied when it's was 3 yrs I go married to my husband. So it took me 3 yrs to apply. And the whole citizenship process took me less than 3 months to become a us citizen. every one said I was lucky cause my was so fast. Well I think what really help me was I didn't have any criminal records, never being arrested or giving a traffic ticket ETC. (Totally clean) and also depends on the state-city that you live and how much the populations are ( I mean, how many people that applied the queue can be very long) that also determine how fast your process can be. I Have seen people who theirs took like 6 , 7, 8 months and even up to 2 years.

Unfortunately, the United Kingdom is not like Canada and i still have a long way to go before getting my ILR and subsequent citizenship. But it's all good.
