Ive been doing this for about 3 years. I used hot glue or elmers in a can adhesive. Which adhesive do you personally use?

I used spray on contact adhesive which is usually used in upholstery. Spray on both area and when it dry to the touch go on and stick them together it's quite therapeutic. Cheers!

If I put a sealant over it and painted it is there a way I could have it underwater but not sink and not float just stay there

Yes! I did that one with a crocodile but you have to use clear silicon rubber sealant to work best.
