Now that was an excellent Phantom/Raoul voice team. Bronson makes an amazingly powerful Phantom in voice (albeit he’s a bit stiff in motion) and this Raoul had a great voice and stage presence. Having Raoul slump on the bar, stagger around and clumsily knock over chairs made for a believable scene.
I totally agree! I kind of wished the Phantom would have choked Raoul a bit later in the music but still has his hands like a viper. And before crowds realize his hand is on Raoul’s throat! I especially love how the Phantom threw the chair around but I do feel bad for the chairs. I wonder how many they broke doing this scene🤔🤔🤔🤔 hmmm
I think it’s a choice he’s making somehow bc every Phantom is different and uses different techniques and movements to make the Phantom they envision come to life with their unique performances
More physically imposing and explosively violent than Karimloo's version, certainly, but to me the way he's so easily provoked by Raoul makes him seem more insecure. Karimloo's version (also on youtube, if you haven't seen it) faces Raoul unmasked and finds his flailing amusing, which makes him seem much more confident of his abilities and in his inevitable victory.
Those two are intense. Just what I was looking for in this scene. Never expected Phantom to throw away a chair first in anger. I love the way they held their stares at each other like they truly meant the words. Raoul here makes me believe he's truly drunk. 💯🫶
not to "well actually" on a youtube comment but he called the Phantom "Mephistopheles" in reference to the devil character from the Faust legend/opera. "Mistoffelees" from Eliot's poems/Cats the Musical was named after this same trickster.
@@TheWanderlustWolf Ah, I see. I've listened to Faust in the past, and I know it's interwoven with PotO's lore, but I don't know a lick of French to help me understand the story. Thanks for the lesson.
If they did a movie adaption of this with the Emmy Rossum, Gerard butler, and Patrick Wilson. I think it would be good. It’s been 17 years since Gerard butler sang in phantom In the 2004 movie. Would he still have a voice? You have to keep singing and vocalizing even after all these years. He would have to start singing again and have a brilliant voice teacher to bring his voice back. I’m really worried he would ruin what I love about his voice in the 2004 film.
The story of this show: 😲🤷🤦
The music of this show: 🔥🤩🔥

This phantom feels dangerous

Perhaps most gigglimade "hi" that I've ever heard) 😂

I know, right?! I'm so loving the intensity of anger between the two men, especially the Phantom! *fans oneself*
🔥😍
Hot damn, the intensity! 🔥🔥🤯🤯
Raoul - why does she love me?
Me - well,
1. Ur a bad husband
2. Ur a bad father
3. U drink all the time
4. Ur careless
What more do I need to say?
She doesnt love you Raoul!
@Meg Giry I'm not wrong!!

@Meg Giry (on what happened in the comment?)
@Christine Daaé So, I said she doesn't love you Raoul (she implying you) and Meg was like DUDE
This is the first time I've heard Bronson Norris Murphy sing, and I have to say, he's not bad.
He's intimidating, and I _love_ it
7:00 Start of DTTHM
Maravilhoso!🎩🎶💀
Sean boy be killing it damn boiii

Are we all ignoring we heard Raoul called Phantom Mistofelees...?

What's wrong with it?)
I know this opinion may not be popular, but I prefer Bronson over Ben Lewis. Borson's not bad. His voice suits Phantom
That's logical opinion.

Ben Lewis makes a commanding phantom, so authoritative that Raoul is scared of him.
This is Bronson Murphy though
Yo stop throwing the chairs people work there you know
Luckily none of the chairs hit the crowd 🤣🤣🤣
Not bad, but I prefer Ben Lewis or Ramin Karimloo as the Phantom.. 😀
Same, love the LND Australian production
Bronson Murphy got the voice, but dang it, gotta work on emoting rather than being stiffer than a board.
