STELLAN GIOS' LIGHTSABER-An Eloquent Weapon During The High Republic-Stellan Gios was a human male Jedi Master who was part of the Jedi Order during the High Republic Era. At one point, Vernestra Rwoh was his Jedi Padawan before she was promoted to Jedi Knight, and he was stationed at the Jedi outpost on the planet Caragon-Viner. Stellan had risen through the ranks of the Order along with Avar Kriss and when they worked together they were seen as immense powerhouses on missions for the Order and the Galactic Republic. Gios was formerly the Padawan of Master Rana Kant, and formed close bonds with Kriss and Elzar Mann during their time as apprentices, often serving as a voice of reason in the trio. Stellan Gios's lightsaber was a blue-bladed crossguard lightsaber owned by Jedi Master Stellan Gios. The lightsaber had a cylindrical silver-and-black hilt with golden accents. Just below the blade emitters, a physical crossguard was mounted, which was pushed out to support the smaller quillon beams when the lightsaber was ignited, but collapsed when the weapon was deactivated for greater portability. In 232 BBY, Gios attended the dedication of the Starlight Beacon. During the ceremony, Gios and many other Jedi drew their lightsabers and raised them to the stars, producing a bright light that symbolized the hope the Beacon would spread across the Republic. Around 231 BBY, Gios participated, and claimed victory, in a mock duel with Jedi Knight Nib Assek aboard the Coruscant Dawn as a demonstration for GoNet reporter Rhil Dairo's all-inclusive report on the upcoming Valo Republic Fair. he High Republic is set centuries prior to the events of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, where the High Republic Jedi Order is at their prime. The High Republic is a multi-platform publishing initiative with books and comics, and the stories of The High Republic introduce new heroes to cheer on, new worlds to explore, and new threats to face. The High Republic is a time of peace and prosperity in the galaxy far, far away. During The High Republic, the Republic is thriving and the Jedi Order is at its zenith, with individual Force wielders and their students exploring the galactic frontier and keeping the peace during The High Republic. But The High Republic is not without its conflicts. The High Republic Era was a period of time that lasted for around two hundred years between approximately 300 BBY and 82 BBY, in which the Galactic Republic was said to be at its height. The High Republic was also a golden age for the Jedi, who were significantly more active throughout the galaxy, and a time of expansion and exploration in the Outer Rim Territories.

I love the design of his saber, in general I love the design of the sabers and clothing of the Jedis of this time, that Convention of white and gold in their tunics and brown with gold in their combat suits and all the details that They show that glory of their best times, it fascinates me, oh and Vernestra when she was little is very adorable, hopefully in phase 3 we will see in flashbacks more of her time as a padawan of Stellan Gios.

Cross guards are decorative only. I mean they would be wonderful against a non-saber opponent but other than that

At that time the siht were supposedly destroyed hundreds of years ago, they mostly fight enemies with blasters or melee weapons made of solid materials, so for that time it is very useful, since the only combat between sabers would be in training.

Would have been cool if this was the style of light saber Rey had at the end of The Rise Of Skywalker. Kind of like her version of her true love's Kylo Rens, but for the Jedi.
