It's far better than I ever anticipated, given that its only a 1 axis gimbal. Its far less stabilised in the goggles, but leagues ahead of bolting a Runcam to the frame of a quad and piping that through an analogue VTX!
The Avata 2 is just about having a blast. Whilst I'd mega impressed with how good the video quality is off it, it will never be cinematic like other DJI drones, so it's purely a big boy's toy for having a giggle :)
Maverick, practicing for Top Gun 3. Certainly got low with that thing and you nearly scored a try. Still not sure about those drones, despite using a VR Headset I'm not sure if I would manage with one of those.
I was worried about it due to my tendency to motion sickness and associated dizziness. I've flown my home made FPV's before - I only got into DJI during the lockdowns - but was concerned that I wouldn't be about to use this £1000 drone for more than a few minutes. But I seem OK so far, especially if I sit or kneel. There motion sickness aside, the Avata 2 is dead easy to fly with the DJI "love stick" (Motion Controller)
