Don't you think the engineers have thought about that? The V.A.G 1.9tdi and it's stock turbo don't care. Maybe, if you where on a long road trip and had the foot to the floor the entire time, then wait for 30 sec before turning off the engine. Big turbo/high hp is another story.

@@ludikure479 sound. If there is no other tuning you won't gain any power. Some say it might give you better throttle response, but I doubt. Maybe it gives you few additional HP with chip tuning or evry mod, but I have seen that many tuners are making a mistake when they install these. You need to have heat shield and it needs to get "fresh air".
Only thing a K&N filter will do for a stock car is letting in more dust particles into the engine. If you gain anything by changing to a K&N, it's because the old filter was dirty. The original filter from V.A.G is the best and will flow good up to 300hp ish.
