    I am ruminating so much about the life I had before the symptoms.. sometimes I completely lose my self in the loop of memories when everything was better. Need to stop with that and start thinking and imagining how wonderful and symptom free the future will be

    Such great, practical wisdom as always, with a practical solution. Recognise rumination, and decide not to partake. It’s just not a healthy thing to do. Love the reminder and advice. Many thanks♥️

    Thank you for this reminder! Rumination on what the symptoms “mean” and how I ended up here has been hard for me to let go of. I’m working on letting go of the stories I tell myself. I appreciate your videos so much!

      You’re adding second fear to fear. Claire weeks. I did it and do it and have to catch myself. It just keeps doubling up the fear and symptoms. Catastrophizing. You’re going to be ok. Walk. I’ve just gotten over tonsillitis too. It’s triggering to be poorly on top of symptoms. But it will pass. Slow down. Breathe. We are all in this together and we will get out of it.

I do have tonsillitis but don't want any antibiotics. Maybe I need to just slow down for for a bit. Theres a rumination sentence 😂. Very apt video for me. Thanks. Yup, I'd probably win a award for how intense I used to ruminate 🤸‍♀️ I still do it, but I'm so soo much more aware of it now with learning about mind body stuff and also aware how much it's involved in keeping the whole cycle going. Such a important topic. I still do struggle with it when things are intense but making a super conscious effort to nip it in the bud as best i can before it spirals has helped hugely 👍🦄
    Ohh and i did the "i feel great" thing along with the video and it literally positively changed how i was feeling mentally and physically in the moment 👌 the power pose ideas is something ive been taught to do and that helps too👍

    Do you think that Dr. Schubiner's writing exercises and other exercises are necessary? Or, should I forget about all the little exercises and just follow the PainFreeYou Process Summary?

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  Год назад

      Some people like the writing. I find that people can get well without writing. I believe it's more a matter of safety messages. When the brain feels safe, the symptoms can turn off. Perceived danger causes symptoms. If writing makes you feel safer, great. Write. If not, don't spend time on that.

    What are your thoughts on hypnosis?

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  Год назад +1

      I am not aware of anyone using it to alleviate TMS/PDP symptoms. I guess it's possible, but the hypnotist would have to be very knowledgeable to instruct our subconscious in a way that is beneficial.

    It’s not the emotions and thoughts that is terrifying me right now although they do. It’s the sensations. Such as not being able to breathe. I think I made a mistake and went for a brisk walk up a couple hills when I was sick. I just thought it was TMS and my breathing is all weird. Although I’m not really unwell I just feel the phlegm and have a croaky throat now. My fear is linked to the sensation of breathing. How do I stop this ? It feels like I’m holding my breath and it’s more upper chest. It’s not fast. I also want to open my mouth and breathe but trying to nasal breath as it’s better and keep you healthier. Thanks 🙏

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  Год назад

      If your O2 is normal, then it is a sensation of not being able to breath more than actually not breathing. You can teach your brain that you are not in danger. To understand more, Watch my entire fast start video playlist to learn what's going on and what to do about it. DansFastStart.com

    Guilty. I have a marked disability and work way beyond what a person with my condition should do. It becomes a chicken and egg thing. What came first the pain or the thinking. I need to stop both the job and the thoughts.

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  Год назад

      We didn't think ourselves into pain. Often the perceived danger is subconscious. Once pain happens, the thinking gets involved and the perceived danger is kept going.

    Hey Dan, most of time when I eat food, not all the time but most, I experience an increase in heart rate and this triggers off my palpitation episodes.
    I’ve been keeping calm and not fearing them, following your advice, and they haven’t been lasting very long. They usually stop a few mins after eating and then my heart rate dials back down.
    I tend to enjoy my food (don’t we all) and I eat pretty fast but I don’t know why I rush my food. I feel like this is triggering to an adrenaline stress type of response for some reason and it’s causing me to have them.
    What’s your opinions on this. It’s the same with working out, when I strain heavy and put my body under intense brief stress it causes them.

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  Год назад

      It's the fear behind it. Subconscious fear. Obviously working out will increase your heart rate. The subconscious fear that means something is wrong may be triggering the palpitations. Keep doing what you are doing, it's working. The more consistent you are, the less you will feel them.

    • @Bait1official
      @Bait1official Год назад +2

      @@PainFreeYou yes, I’ve been continuing to workout despite the irregular beats and it does get hard at times because the fear creeps back in but I’m constantly remembering your words and calming my mind. I’ve had anxiety for most of my life I’m 25 now, but these palpitations just add to the whole stress of it all.
      Working out also spikes adrenaline which makes my heart beat even faster but when I distract myself my heart calms back down. Most certainly a fear response going on deep in my mind.
