  • The Topont Vigor is 29.5" axle to axle compound bow. Draw length 26.5-30.5" weighs 4.6# with an IBO 350fps.
We look at what's included with the luxury kit and shoot the bow at 18meters and shoot over a chronograph.

Great review! Seems like a lot of people here are underestimating the accessories...I recently had to repurchase all of my gear after a theft, and its really easy to tack 700 usd on to a bow.
This looks to compete pricewise with the 500usd barebows, but seems much better engineered, and an easy purchase. Wish I had access to this brand for my backup and extra bows for my buddies to shoot! A diamond infinite edge plus a hardcase, cheap arrows, and upgrade to a micro adjustable sight would be the same price, and way inferior.

That was me comparing the bow madness to the vigor. Both maxed at 70lb. The difference was night and day as far as the satisfying whack into the target. I think the vigor was a lot easier to shoot and I feel like i'd get better groupings with it however its early day with the bow madness.

you can get it to 60 lbs by tweaking the cables and shorten the string by 1/4 inch. its probably close. I always change the strings and cables and shorten everything to put more prestress on the limbs. its amazing what a 1/4 inch will do.

I did put a set of custom strings from 60X in the U.S. on my Topoint Reliance and moved the cams right and the serious cam lean went away. I'm not sure why new strings (they're nice) and shimming helped but it did and I got it to shoot bullet holes through paper. I did need to send the original factory strings to 60X because they said Topoint wouldn't send them the string specs for servings and speed nocks, so that's something to think about. Also, my Reliance is a 50 pound rated bow but it only measures 45 pounds fully wound up.

350fps - 20fps for 60lbs, - 20fps for 28" draw = 310fps - 10fps for d-loop, peep, sight, etc = 300fps and it is only shooting 271fps. So great honest review for what it is shooting at. Not a fan of yoke systems. A PSE 60lb Stinger single cam shoots these arrows at 270fps and costs a lot less with great accuracy and easier maintenance.

If your in the states pick up a Pse stinger on sale for about $350 R.T.H. American made and customer service don't waist your money on a Chinese bow unless you have to. I got a Chinese bow for my kids and spent about the same as the Pse and it didn't last the summer with my kids. The Pse is over a year old and it's still solid!!!!

I think the cheap budget bows are all the same in relation to draw weight.
My PSE StingerX is suppose to be a 50lbs draw..Its fully wound up. When tested on multiple scales its 43lbs.

Every chance that it needs a few extra twists in the strings to bring up the poundage. PSE have rubbish strings on their lower end bows, a quality aftermarket string would fix it up nicely

Sounds like you suffered a bulged disc in your lumbar spine.
This happened to me about 8 years ago (one too many reps of squats with a little too heavy a weight) and when I aggravate it (i.e. lift something heavy incorrectly) it takes me about a week to get over it with the pain becoming slightly better each day (with mornings being the worst).
Moral of the story: get a lifting belt and use it during your squats and deadlifts, and make sure you bend your knees when you lift heavy items instead of hinging at your back.
Good luck and I hope you recover quickly.

Great review as always, but about your back, soz Stephen, it's what happens at our age, I've sneezed before now and nearly ended up on the floor in pain with my back, and all my school mates just nod and say "yeah, same here, don't cough when your turning round" etc. Keep taking the Ibuprofen.
Right, the hip pain. This is a trapped nerve, my other half has it, exactly the same symptoms. You don't feel the pain during the shot because that specific posture relieves pressure on the nerve, then you come out of that specific posture and BANG, the nerve gets impinged and instant pain. See your doctor ASAP, because it responds very well to physiotherapy.
    Take care mate.

People have killed deer and pigs with sub 200 fps recurves. These bows are starting to look like good options as rough treatment hunting bows. I know tossing an $800 bow into a ute is less stress than tossing a $1500 one.

Pleased don't do anymore squats. Squats injure a very high number of people, and it's a dangerous movement due to needing to be technically correct in form while holding a lot of weight.
I know an awarded body builder who just sustained an injury not too long ago, and it's really affecting him well after the event.
The bow is beautiful. Reminds me of a Bowtech with Mathews strings and cam.
