Dr. Hanscom--you are spot on!I'm a Pain Psychologist and have treated close to 2000 patients and have had great success in helping patients "revolve" or recover from their pain. I'm so amazed that a surgeon is seeing the same results with your non-surgery treatment.
    Thank you for your videos!

I have grade 1 Spondylolistisis. I've had pain for 2 years to varying degrees. Still able to work but with limitation. Always thought one day would get a fusion. Although a fusion is suited to my condition. It seems that from what you say my outcome will not be great if I go down that path. I am confused what to do. Dr Hanscom at what stage is surgery the better option. It's been left up to me the patient to decide but I dont have that expertise to make such a big choice. All information I have from my specialists is I would do well with a one level fusion but from what you say even if successful it is just short lived. What should I do? Hope you can advise me on outcomes for spondylolistsis fusion. Thank you in advance. If you can't advise thank you anyway for giving me hope for managing pain. Have felt very abandoned till finding you.

+Tony Fletcher Search on RUclips for a lady called Nicole Sachs and watch all the videos on her channel. She has what you have and has used mindbody work to heal herself. She has a website and I am assuming you may be able to contact her directly via that, but do watch the videos first and I personally would recommend her book (this is mentioned in her videos and on her website). I have been inspired and helped very much by her work, which is in the exact same field as Dr Hanscom. Also, Dr Hanscom's book is very good too. I wish you luck. on't give up. Another person I highly recommend is Georgie Oldfield. You can find her on a site called SIRPA which is based in the UK, but she is able to offer you a Skype consultation or a phone consultation regardless of location and is in contact with Dr Hanscom. In fact Georgie may well be my recommended first port of call, but do watch Nicole's videos as they will certainly encourage you. Another good resource is the TMSWiki forum. You have a list of consultants on there, a free structured healing course and a forum to discuss with consultants and other pain sufferers of various kinds the type of question you have asked here. Hopefully this helps you get started :) My best wishes to you for a full recovery :)

Hi Tony, Sorry about the delay in replying, I wasn't aware of the You Tube comments area. I can't really comment on whether you need a fusion. I do perform it for only leg pain and am clear that it won't have any effect on back pain and often makes back pain worse. We also have all of our patients work through the first two stages of my website, www.backincontrol.com. It's a largely self-directed process. Best regards, David Hanscom

And so, from a practical viewpoint, what exactly is this guy talking about?
In other words, after watching 8 of these videos, I feel like I know less than I did before.
What do you recommend people do about their chronic pain? Pah-leeze...
