Question. Ive seen success from people running a stock ecu and stock everything on 6 or 7 psi, with a basic turbo kit. Just wastegate pressure, making 280-300hp. Reliably too. Is this impossible in your eyes, or at the most, irresponsible and unreliable? Thanks
Your the one of the few people I've seen that has kept the distributor I wanted to ask how does it run with the aem would you use an emu black to run coil on plug? Or do you think the distributor is perfectly fine I've only seen people deleting them as if its a draw back.
Its a customer car, you have to be careful NOT to overheat the car if you haven't done the Headgasket run good fans and watch the temps, OEM studs and gasket 400hp is safe limit IMO
What did you do for the clocking of the oil drain for the turbo? I’m having trouble getting it in a good spot without it touch the runners. I ordered a in drain tube it’s a little longer and angled, fully it does the trick
yeah just had to angle it correctly, and one bolt would not fit on the compressor housing cuz of the drain, just put it in the right direction with the turbo housing off and then an line to the bottom, I think I used and extra fitting to extend it so i can tighten the fitting
I Always recommend professional tuner as most people are not going to be able to tune from scratch. GTE head gasket doesn't have effect on power only potential for reliable power, If im not mistaken i think it may drop compression slightly
Ive ran 10 psi on two different 5 speed SC300 NAT and was able to attain 390+whp on both of them, which is over 400 crank, really shouldnt do much more without changing the headgasket remember 10:1 compression makes good hp
No I have to disagree, it's not really a good value. For what it is I suppose if you can't be fucked to take out the old engine. However, you can install a 1JZ and with light modifications make around 500 very safely on stock internals. It's not unheard of. Probably for $1,100 more give or take and a way less mileage engine.
you know nothing lol. please research. any engine swap will be over 3k at least with you doing all the work yourself. 1k maybe on a honda engine swap lol
+Ben Thompson I know much actually, this isn't my first rodeo. What you don't know how to do, is read. I said " only 1100 more" as in, only $1,100 more than it would cost to boost your existing engine.
Yea I agree, I reckon in the long run the 2jzge NA-T will cost more than 1jzgte and will be less reliable and it is fairly easy to swap and make power out of
I can't wait for you guys to release the sc300 manual conversion kit

Stumbled on this video today, just got my 1997 sc300 home today. Looking to do something like this. How much money did you spend roughly?

How's the car holding up? How much hp are you putting down? And how much power do you recommend if I'm running GE gasket / studs, Cheers

car made 398whp
Thanks great video I have a question can this be done with a auto
Thanks for all your help and information
Thanks for sharing brother, great video. Keep up the good work!
Welcome!!!! Thank you

My 1st na-t setup was similar... lover
Would a gte head gasket make more power? And can you tune a car yourself with the AEM v2 or is it recommended to go to a tuner ?

sorry to bother you but whats the build list on this car? i'm looking into going na -t, does it have tt head gasket and a different clutch?
CX Racing turbo kit and CX intercooler kit, 650cc injectors and aem v2 thats pretty much it and its 5 speed its oem clutch

Looking good. I was wondering how did you wire up the map sensor?
Any link for the kits to make a cheap build? Thanks!
Great video 👍 thanks for sharing!
How much did you boost to get 400hp? Any video of it dyno?....... Awesome video. Useful info.

Their is a Gold NAT sc300 Dyno on my channel that made 400 but never recorded this white one on the dyno
Any point trying to run with this kit without ECU and fuel upgrade? And is this the T70 or GT35?
You can ya but wont run very well probably wont support 10psi without changing injectors. gt35
i couldn't tell but do u have or Use a Mass airfow sensor ?
With the AEM I believe we converted it to MAP but with a stock ECU yes run MAF.
So this is an un-opened motor correct? What injectors and fuel pump are you running?
He said it in the vid lol 650cc & 250 walbro
Yes unopened
I remember when my looked and sounded like this.. lol
Is that aem V2 for 2jzgte?
Where are you located? State, city
Where did you purchase this turbo kit from
It’s cx racing
Dyno video?
nah didnt get this one on camera
