Yup, the reason for Jess dying is when the player either makes too many mistakes or takes too many save (=slow) routes. That sequence is all about being as fast as you can and take risks. ;) Still you did what you thought was right so no worries. ^^ Enjoying the Let's Play so far, and trust me there's still a lot of interesting things to come! :D
Thank you!!! Being my first game of this type I wasn’t sure what the mechanics are - since it allowed me to take time to explore I wasn’t sure if choosing the wrong path would result in immediate death - playing more I realized any path is the right path you just gotta do the quicktime events is all so I did start taking riskier plays in the next episode! I took tens of minutes sometimes to even inspect items because I thought they would kill me if I picked them up only to realize they are just collectibles 😂
On the butterflies pretty sure you can use the touch pad to swipe pages of it so you can see where each decision leads by the choices you made. Just seen you looking at them again not sure if you have noticed that or not... Remember to smile! Loving the playthrough!
I'm glad that I discovered your playthrough. I'm getting to see things I've never seen before, like Jess dying the way she did. I didn't even know it was a thing.
If you might recall in the intro of the game when running Beth's phone fell out of her pocket and in-between some floor boards, it's not that someone is hiding the phone where Matt found it, it's that it's been there since. (And the cliff side that Matt and Em got surrounded by Elk was the same one where Hannah and Beth took the tumble. The sign is the one Hannah broke when she fell)
It was heartbreaking seeing you take every safe route to Jess, by the 3rd choice I was like"yep Jess is going to die"lol. I was really hoping you'd be able to keep everyone alive. Sometimes you gotta take risks shay, but still keep it up. I'm enjoying the playthrough so far, anxious to see how the rest plays out.
I was so scared of being too risky and having my character fall and die but I definitely learned my lesson with the next episode! I’m actually diagnosed with severe anxiety disorder I think it showed with how careful I tried to play 😭
@@VideogameShayPlays lol yeah i understand being anxious in that moment and trying to to keep from dying. If it was my first time playing, I think I'd choose some of the safer routes also. I'm glad to hear you learned from that though, can't wait for the next episode. #nomoredeaths p.s, how did that yawn feel, and get that hair right sis lol😂
@@VideogameShayPlays fun fact, I still had the vid pulled up when you took it down so I still had the unedited version playing lol. It's ok we're only human, you just needed a moment, and it wasn't that bad. I do understand why you'd cut it though. Glad I caught it though.😂😂
Whelp, you're off to a great start shay, 2 down plus 2 fingers, lol. Just for lols once this is done, you should make a scare compilation. It'll be priceless.
25:48 I’m still iffy on the on the criteria for getting Jess “satisfied.” I used to watch the OG playthroughs around the time it came out and recently a few before even knowing about the remake. I played the remake myself and thought I had it in the bag, but she was feeling insecure when it was time. I thought they changed it to have her always insecure, but then, I saw another playthrough where she wasn’t lol. I thought they made some of the “negative” choices, too. Looks like killing the deer is fine as well as asking about the twins instead of being respectful. Not to mention interacting with the gun. It may have been from me interacting with another optional thing where she sees a former reminder of Emily. And I was witty instead grumpy. Also, I missed the photo op looking for clues. Dang… I didn’t mean to ramble like this lol.
The totums are more supposed to be warnings or things you should strive towards, its possible to kill everyone in this game but its also possible to not kill anyone at all. The totums are confusing the first go especially if you go in blind but they do have small hints and clues within them
@ the story will make more sense the further you get and if youd wanna do a second go around of this game i’d definitely watch it because i think this is one of the few playstation games that are super replayable
It’s so difficult because I don’t know if I should go a certain direction or inspect an item that may blow up on me or something 😭 I’ve never seen anyone play this or played myself so I don’t know the mechanics I thought everything I touched was going to implode and I was going to slip off every ledge haha
Another \/\/ upload I was really invested. I found it interesting the character Sam sounds like Eli from the last of us I was her to be drop f bombs left and right 😂 and that was definitely a saw inspired moment some times you just got to make the hard choices. But I love everything about this play through no matter how you play I'm just happy to watch along and have a great time thank you shay for everything 🔥💯🙏
To save Jessica you had to choose quick jump down slide down etc, you get two totems one she’s alive 😊in bra and panties ❤(not pajamas) and one she died 😢. Also the psycho isn’t wearing a clown mask it’s a death mask
To your question yes, Jess died cause you picked the all slow options when trying to save her. EDIT: That's the choices during the running BTW, the walking section (where you discovered the totem) I'm pretty sure doesn't matter how fast you go.
Yes I don’t think it does! Being new I don’t know the mechanics or how it works so I figured I could still take time to get to her vs risk falling 😂 I see now that was NOT the correct choice
@@VideogameShayPlays Yes, that made me laugh when I heard that. You have no control when you get scared. I once slammed my phone into my face when I got scared. It happens. 😂😂
A little pro-tip cause the “keep still” prompt is a little misleading: you need to keep the light within the boundaries, the light will move on its own so setting it down on a surface might make it so you fail.
I have a niece that is 19 and when she was around 15 or 16 her and a friend used a ouija board and my niece got possessed. It’s the manner of how she did it. She went away, lied to her boyfriend, and snuck off to give a close hug and a talk which seemed super suspicious. To me that’s pretty untrustworthy behaviour. It’s the lying for me… she said she had to go do something else. If you can’t be open with your partner what’s the point? Not wild 🤷🏻♀️ if my man lied to me to go wander off and have a rendez vous with his ex I’d be pretty pissed
